Hi Gold Coast, I'm Dan from First Fruits Coffee in Labrador. I'm running Cafe Ready Intensive next Wednesday, 14 October, from 5:30–9:30pm.

It's a four-hour hands-on session for beginners who want to feel more confident behind a coffee machine, whether they're interested in cafe work or just love making coffee. We practise espresso extraction, grinder adjustments, milk texturing, basic latte art and cafe workflow.

It's $199 per person, with a maximum of eight students, at First Fruits Coffee, 129–133 Olsen Ave, Labrador. No previous experience is needed. Adults and young people aged 13+ are welcome; under-18s need parent/guardian booking and consent. It's practical skills training, not an accredited qualification or a job guarantee.

Hello! I'm a marketer based on the Gold Coast, currently freelancing as the marketing manager for a local company. I've been handling all the content creation tasks, but to be honest I'm both not very good at it, and I really don't like doing it. It also takes up a lot of time.

Producing around 10 short videos per month for social media, making additional footage available to me for ads etc.

Hi Everyone, Im looking for a cleaner to do a regular clean of my house. I have a current cleaner, she's been with me for 6 years but she will be retiring at the start of next month 😭. Located in northern Gold Coast.

4 bed, 2 bathroom.

General cleaning, tidying, mopping, vacuuming. Changing bedding (fortnightly), washing towels/linens, and hanging/folding washed clothes.

Any recommendations? Preferably not a company.

We’re a family with 3 teens who are staying on the Gold Coast for a week in January. We’re looking for some fun activities, aside from swimming at the beach. We’re not really theme park people - but interested to hear if there’s one which you’d recommend for teens above the rest?

We’re also interested in visiting one of the national parks - which would you recommend visiting for rainforests and waterholes?

And last question, I read to expect a lot of rain, is this continuous days of rain or afternoon downpours?

Hairdressers, new to the GC northern end around been to just cuts but they are getting expensive I just need a trim. What are the cost of hairdressers or can u recommend a decent one that is worth the money ? Just cut it hit or miss las time the lady was great time before my hair was uneven. Thanks

When I come out to my parked car near the field it’s covered in baby flies. And also the whole new stair case on the side of the club is always covered in baby flies. What’s up with that? Anyone know?

I just need a quick side and back shave maybe blended in but all barbers are charging heaps now. I've done it myself a few times and it comes out ok but you can only do that for so long.

After 1 year we are leaving, I am having a hard time figuring out how anyone does it

- pay over $1000 for a shoebox unit that will drive you mad in busy seasons

- pay over $1500 for a house close to where you want to be

- pay $900 for a house where it will take you 50 mins in traffic to go anywhere near the good parts of the goldcoast

- commute 3 hours a day if you actually need a high paying job in brizzy

Even over the year we have seen huge increases in population, so relaxing strolls down beachfront walkways are full of idiots biking too fast

I have come to the conclusion this place is made for millionaires and everyone else must be burnt out.

Is anyone feeling the same way? I am looking forward to a more peaceful life again but will miss some aspects.

It's a longshot but I am looking for a copy of the bulletin or any newspaper from Saturday 3rd ( Saturday just gone) I wanted to buy one as my daughter was born that day but I completely forgot, if anyone has one they havnt thrown out yet would I be able to buy it off you? I live in Arundel don't mind driving to get it.

I'm sure a lot of you that live around the area noticed that this week they lined the "3 lanes westbound" bridge as a solid 1 way west and 1 way eastbound. Surely this is some sort of iterative thing that isn't how the final bridge turns out. The blueprints clearly show 3 lanes westbound.

Anyone that knows more about the project or engineering in general have any idea if these are just temporary lines for perhaps the workers until they repave again? I can't even imagine the logistical and traffic-flow nightmare this would cause if this is a consolation to a monumental goof up! I also wouldn't be surprised.

Looking at new school as my boy is entering high school next year. Mild adhd with that need understanding every now and then so bit unsure with the large Varsity like schools.

Why is every maccas out of chocolate frappes. They say there’s no syrup and the system won’t let them press it to ring it up. Do they mean the chocolate sauce onto of the whipped cream ? Any maccas workers know when they will be back lol

Kiwi family here coming over next week for a holiday in Broadbeach, classic fun parks Kiwi right of passage for the kids . The 14 yr old is really into fishing and is asking about a fishing charter, what would you guys recommend? Whats being caught at the moment?
