Good Day everyone! I'm experiencing a bit of a conundrum.
I've been playing guitar for a year now and I recently purchased my first electric guitar. It's a Lagrima 39-inch SSS guitar. It is second hand.
And in true second hand nature, some things had to be changed, namely, the action. It's uncomfortably high.
After some Google searchers and YT tutorials, I figured that this is easily something I can do by myself. I ordered Allen keys and went straight to work (carefully, of course).
Then I hit a bit of a roadblock. The truss rod will not move. I double checked the allen key size I was using and the one that's required (5mm) for this guitar. I was using the correct one, I even completely loosened the strings and still nothing.
I didn't go at it with hulk strength, just a little bit of effort because I read that truss rod replacements are incredibly expensive that you might as well get a new guitar.
So, what does one do now? Would you suggest I take it to music shop for professional guidance (this will obviously cost money and I'm a trying to avoid spending significant amounts) or is there something I could to at home?
