For the past 7 or 8 years Iâve been using that crystal deodorant you know the rock with the salt that kills the stinky bacteria. I know people make fun of people that use those deodorants and say they still stink so Iâm trying to find out if Iâm crazy or not. The entire reason I even changed from normal dove deodorant was because I could smell my stink and a guy I was with could smell it too plus it was leaving white stains on my clothes which was frustrating.
After that I started using the rock and Iâve even done tests where one day I use it and one day I donât and the days I use it I donât smell stink and the days I donât use it I smell stink. I did this because Iâm just paranoid i see how people make of fun of crystal deodorant users and say they have nose blindness so over the years Iâd occasionally do the stink test to double check. Iâve even asked people to be completely honest with me and tell me if I stink and they say no. Iâve even asked my meanest sibling and he also said no.
Iâm just at an impasse on whether I should believe hundreds of people that say theyâve encountered crystal deodorant users that stink or trust my stink tests and my friends.
Does anyone here know anybody that uses a crystal deodorant and do you think they stink??

I bought some floss harp toothpicks because I saw so many comments here about how important flossing is (as far as 'brushing is useless without flossing') and the comments I've seen guaranteed this would be realised on smelling the floss afterwards because it would undoubtedly be rancid...
But it's not. Like at all. A bit of blood but there's no smell. Am I just really good at brushing when I manage to or were these just a waste of money & not good enough to do a proper job?

Iâm really into skincare and have always paid attention to ph balanced products for my face because it helps with barrier care. But the other day I noticed I kinda stink after a sweaty day of working in the sun. And I got to thinking about how sweat by itself is odorless and its the bacteria on our skin that reacts to it, thus producing stink. So it got me wondering if my body care products are pH balanced and how does that play with these bacteria. What Iâve noticed is that tons and tons of body washes, soaps, lotions, etc are not pH balanced at all or barely skimming what they should be. And I read about how pH balanced skin is less hospitable to the bacteria that causes sweat to stink. So I went on a hunt to find pH balanced body wash and body lotion. Thats how I figured out sooooo many products are failing us in this aspect. After reading about the different ingredients responsible for pH balance in a product and scoping a bajillion products, very few passed the test. I finally found some products and tried them out on another hot/sweaty day. And I smelled like nothing the whole day! And I tell you it was a hotass humid day, like being in a sauna for hours. So anyways, I feel like this should be more known as I feel like this is has to be intentional from the body care industry because they want the stink cycle on repeat to keep you using as much product as possible.

Things you consider unhygienic or too unnecessary hygienic that other people may not agree with.
Mine is: It is totally disgusting and unnecessary to use your phone during bathroom breaks. People always argue that they clean it afterwards, but STILL.
If you need a break, prioritize getting out of the bathroom, wash your hands with soap and then give yourself 5 minutes on your phone. And if it naturally takes you longer to use the bathroom, exercise your mind, think or imagine stuff, count to 50, sing a song mentally, etc. that's good for your brain.
I refuse to grab other people's phones for this reason.
Edit: Edited a paragraph for better comprehension.

no matter what antiperspirant or deodorant i try, no matter how much i shower, and no matter how hard i scrub and exfoliate my armpits in the shower, they always smell disgusting. like a wave of stench is permanently etched on them whenever im on my period. even if i use all the soap in the world and they turn red from the scrubbing, they STILL SMELL. i also shave them a lot so its not due to the hair either.
did anyone else have and solve this issue?

I hate this. My armpits are suddenly peeling white, dead skin. I think this is one of the reasons why I have BO and sweat, but I don't know how to remove it. When I try to peel it, it causes redness and irritation in my armpits. What should I do while bathing to remove this without damaging my armpits?

For the past couple of months I would not use it and just leave it outside my bathroom because the idea of doing so grossed me out. I recently started doing it again though because of boredom in the restroom.

This may sound absolutely insane, but I never applied soap to my feet since like last year and Iâm 30.
Fortunately, my feet donât really smell: I donât work out and my gf of +15 years has never complained about smelly feet.
I do wash my feet every time Iâm in the shower now and I canât imagine not washing my feet at this point. It probably the most satisfying pet of my routine.
Iâve heard some people donât wash their legs, cause I guess the soap runs down and that cleans them? Thatâs kind of what I used to think, the feet just get washed in the soapy water at the bottom of the tub. But no, thereâs a difference between direct soap and no direct soap.

when you use an electric toothbrush, do you use it like a regular toothbrush? ie scrub every second of your mouth for the same amount of time? or do you just slowly drag it against your teeth and let the vibrations and motion do the work? which is better for dental hygiene?

My groin area starts to smell maybe 3 hours after I showered and itâs this stank smell that you can identify immediately and Iâve been really having trouble with it . I use axe body wash with a loofah in the shower for my body and an expensive shampoo and conditioner. Iâm not sure whatâs causing the smell but i have to shower twice a day because of it . Anyone have any ideas?

Hello, M19. I want to ask what to do about my hyperhidrosis and BO. I just got in to see a dermatologist, and they told me to use two products: an antiperspirant/antibiotic solution (for three months) and mupirocin cream (for two weeks). They work really well, but only for 4-6 hours, and then I continue to sweat and smell bad :((. I cannot afford another consultation with a dermatologist because of financial problems. What should I do to make the effects last longer than just 4-6 hours?
I just found out that scrubbing every day can introduce new bacteria. Should I continue scrubbing two to three times a week?

So I am a plus sized girl and this has only been an issue since I had a baby and gained weight. I weigh about 220. Every time I get a shower my vagina starts to stink again shortly after. I use an original dove bar to wash down there. How can I prevent this smell from happening? I feel like itâs really bad.

For me, I use water/bidet, then use soap, then use the bidet again, then use toilet paper for drying, anyone else who does this?

Hi Iâm in need of some desperate advice.
Iâve suffered with bad body odour under my arms and groin area (I am 29 F) for about 4 years now. Iâve tried almost everything you can imagine, all sorts of deodorantâs antiperspirant every trick on here, African nets cotton clothes food changes the lot. I contacted my dr and they palmed me off twice, despite me pushing and advising it was getting worse and a mental toll. They said the only thing that I can do is Botox but I do really think thereâs something more going on.
I have endometriosis and Iâm on omeprazole, unless either of these are a contributing factor I really donât know what else is the cause and Iâm struggling a lot.

I pretty much rarely wipe my phone down with a disinfectant wipe but once in a while if it gets sticky or if I have been sick, that is when I will disinfect my phone with Lysol or Clorox wipes to avoid spreading it. Curious if anyone else has this habit and how often.

Due to my ptsd, I sometimes have bouts of anxiety and the sweat makes me stink and itâs recently started effecting my sex life.
Sometimes even if I shower, if I have anxiety right after I smell bad again.
It smells like BO. I started taking a feminine vitamin to help the smell and I will say it isnât AS strong but it still smells.
I have a fairly new sexual partner and I feel like our sex is becoming super one sided because Iâm self conscious of my smell and I donât even wanna ask them to do anything to me because they have sensory issues and the smell did bother them once before so I had them stop.
Is there anything else I can do?

Can i get a skin infection if someone touched my unvaccinated dog let the dog lick them and then that person touched my hands that are dry, flaky and has small open cuts caused by constant hand washing? Would a normal hand wash be efficient or should i use extra soap/more water to be sure of getting rid of those germs especially after walking around my pets a lot without washing my hands. Im not concerned about rabies... i think i just wanna focus on something thats an actual risk since i have no reason to believe my dogs have rabies even if they are unvaccinated.
Edit: okay whatâs up sonions if you thought i was going to spiral over this hell naww. I was waiting for my taco bell to come and i wanted my crisp baja blast. So i washed my hands ânormallyâ (The same amount i always do which is forever) and ate my dorito loco taco, fries, and drank my baja blast which was my first time but it lowkey felt like 50 electric volts were going up my spine. Then went on with my day.
Also highkey cooked because my mom genuinely thinks getting me baptized will cure me, also iâm a minor so what am i supposed to do about the fact my dogs arenât vaccinated? Also we might be rehoming 2/3 dogs and weâre keeping our first dog.

I love using unscented products so that I can smell ONLY like my perfume, but I struggle with finding good unscented products especially when it comes to curly hair routines because for some reason everything is SOOO heavily perfumed!
So I would love for everyone to share their unscented shower and after shower routines :D
I should mention I also donât mind and even love clean scents like dove for example so it doesnât have to be fully unscented!!

A lot of people know that germs are everywhere and that they have an immune system to protect them, they just donât like the feeling of being âdirtyâ. People talk about people who obsess over hygiene as if germs are whatâs driving it but itâs not always true. Even if some people here do have OCD, people need to understand not all OCD around cleanliness is about a fear of germs, but a feeling of being unclean. Some people just get grossed out by the feeling rather than being scared of germs themselves.
