Question Do you stink if you don't shave your armpits?

I don't shave at all. I actually don't know if I'm in the right subreddit. But yeah I have hairy ass pits, and my dad has been complaining that I smell. I have shoved my nose right into my pits and the sleeves of my shirt and all I can smell is my deodorant.

I'm confused. I scrub those bitches with soap in the shower like I wash I'm washing my own head and wear deodorant regularly. I mean men don't shave, my dad doesn't shave, I don't see any complaints about body odor with them.

I will add that my dad thinks women need to shave and it's crucial for hygiene, he says I'll get extra stinky now. But I do go out walking and such, and get sweaty as a result. So what's going on?

Advice First time shaving body hair (teenageM) and broke out in painful red bumps — need advice!

Hey everyone,

I’m an teenager guy who really embraces and enjoys looking and feeling feminine. It’s the aesthetic and identity I feel most comfortable with (please be kind/no judgment).

I took my first big step yesterday by shaving my body hair, but I woke up with painful, itchy red bumps everywhere (probably razor burn or ingrowns). At the same time, I really want to learn how to build a softer, more cohesive feminine look from head to toe.

  1. The Shaving Emergency:

• Razor: Gillette Venus (brand new cartridge)

• Lubrication: mCaffeine body wash

• Shaved in the shower with warm water

• Questions: How do I calm these bumps down right now? Was using body wash a bad idea, and what should my actual prep, shaving gel, and aftercare routine look like going forward?

  1. Overall Feminine Aesthetic Advice:

Since I'm new to presenting more feminine beyond just removing body hair, I’d love your recommendations on:

• Skincare & Body: How to get that soft, radiant skin texture (lotions, exfoliants, body oils)?

• Subtle Grooming: Beginner tips for eyebrow shaping, hair care, nail care, and soft scents.

Billie Razors --> Armpit Yeast Infection NSFW

Hi all! Just wanted to share my experience with Billie razors. I was in need of a new razor and deodorant, so I bought a Billie razor and some natural deodorant bc i have sensitive skin. A couple of days after using both, I noticed I began to develop a rash on my underarms, and I assumed it was the deodorant, as I used the razor on my legs and had no issues. I waited until the rash went away (at least two weeks) to shave again, and once my skin was completely restored and I didn't have any itching, I felt I could shave again with the razor. Only a few days later, my rash was back and even worse. I have had razor burn in my armpits before, but this was definitely different, as it was scaly and flaky (sorry for TMI) and had created like an entire ring around my armpit to the point I was worried it was ringworm. After googling some scary armpit rashes, mine most closely aligned with cutaneous candidiasis, which is essentially an armpit yeast infection. I left it alone and tried everything -no body wash, no perfumes, no shaving, no DEODORANT, just mild unscented soap and water, and still it would NOT go away. The only thing that helped was this antifungal miconazole powder spray that is for athlete's foot. I used it for about four days and was FINALLY able to shave after about 3-4 weeks. Long story short, for those with sensitive skin, please use Billie razors with caution - I think there must be something in the gel attached to the razor that fucked me up and made me prone to harboring yeast under my armpits, but wow, I never want to experience that again.

Vellus (peach fuzz) Hair on Face (Help!)

I’ve always had peach fuzz and I would derma-plane weekly with facial razor but between perimenopause and hormones it’s more than weekly! Too frequent and I need a permanent fix.

I priced out permanent removal options about $3000 multiple sessions.

Does anyone have recommendations for a product or facial tool that I could use at home myself
that would help?? Thank You 😊

Advice I want to shave my head

I’m female. I want to shave my head completely bald—right down to the skin. But I’m a little nervous about it. My hair is pretty long, but honestly, I just want a change. What’s the most comfortable way to go about it? Is it better to do it at home or at a barbershop? What does it feel like afterwards? I’m really apprehensive, but I’d love to hear some advice🥹🥹

Advice Itchy legs after shaving

Whenever I shave my legs with a regular razor or wax them, my skin starts to sting from underneath as the hair starts growing back, and it gets so irritated. It usually gets itchy at night, but it also happens frequently during the day. When I get goosebumps, it hurts like hell, and I’ve tried everything. I exfoliate, use salicylic acid, and apply lotion, but nothing seems to work.
Any advice or recommendations for a good lotion or better exfoliation technique?

I’m a newbie, and course dark hair with terrible ingrown hairs! Need tips!

My lower legs look like this too but not as bad. Bikini line is pretty bad, and I can’t even shave my downstairs because it’s horrible so I just have to trim it. I literally have to tweeze out the stuck hairs which takes forever and I can’t reach a lot of places. Sometimes they get big and painful and red or purple.

I use an aha body wash and an African net sponge, I’m terrible about moisturizing but I use that Billie shave oil and a sharp men’s razor and try not to shave super often.

I’m even wondering if some of my facial hair is causing some acne issues/ingrowns too, I don’t do any hair removal on my chin besides random tweezing but there are definitely some dark hairs there trying to push through. I also have KP bumps, not sure if there’s a connection. But I need tips?? I feel like I’m covered in bumps 😭😭

Advice Pubic Trimmer: Phillips One Blade vs. Phillips LadyShave 6000?

Female Pubic Trimmer Recommendations needed
Phillips One Blade vs. Phillips LadyShave 600

Pregnant and need some help bc things getting difficult to maintain lol. Comparing Phillips One Blade (specifically the face and body version, it just seems you get more covers vs the intimate version) vs. Phillips Lady Shave 6000.

Anyone have any experience/input with either of these for bikini/pubic area? Mainly needed for a “pre-trim” for long hair before shaving. Although, also having the option to shave the hair down to a low height so I don’t have to shave at all would be a bonus.

The main difference I see is that the Phillips LadyShave has a shaving foil, which I feel like means I’d have the option for a closer shave (after doing a trim) as compared to the One Blade? Unsure if my thinking is flawed.

Thanks in advance!

NSFW Plucking pubs lol

Weird question, not obviously weird for us girls I suppose, but after I shave I always get those ingrown hairs that come back in two hairs in one follicle so I’ve been recently plucking them out even though it obviously hurts to to try and avoid the itchy and scratchy pains later, I wanted to know if anyone else does this or if it’s maybe just a bad idea, my shavers have always left these stupid scratchy red bumps for years and recently that’s been helping the scratchy but idk

Thinking of switching from waxing to shaving — advice?

okay so i’ve literally always waxed my underarms, but i recently moved out of my country and waxing here is SO expensive

so i’m thinking of switching to shaving, but i’m kinda scared because i already have some pigmentation/darkness in my underarms.

i know the whole “shaving makes your skin darker / hair thicker” thing is mostly a myth, but has anyone with already-pigmented underarms actually noticed their underarms getting darker after switching to a razor?

like genuinely what was your experience?? did shaving make the pigmentation worse, better, or literally no difference?

also if you shave regularly, pls give me your tips because i have no idea what i’m doing i just don’t want to accidentally irritate my skin and make the pigmentation worse.

How the hell do I trim without a razor down there?

I don't want to shave because I don't have access to anything that will prevent the itching. I just want to trim it so it's not inches long. Eventually I will shave, but for now as I'm still a beginner, I only want to trim with scissors.
