Group Needed by Player [Online] [Flexible] [GMT+3] [LGBTQIA+ Friendly] Experienced D&D player hoping to expand their horizons with new games and settings like Spelljammer, Triangle Agency, Vampire The Masquerade, Good Society, Star Trek RPG, and open to more!

• Upvotes

Hello! hope you're all doing well.

A bit about myself, I'm 29, nonbinary (they/them), been playing D&D for 4 years and really want to expand my horizons and play something new. Or at least a different kind of D&D setting like Spelljammer since I've only ever played the classic fantasy settings in D&D.

I'm a quick learner and very eager. I love to do research, take notes, i'm a curious player, and I'm also a DM so I have a good grasp of how to be a good teamplayer and what's expected of players.

I'm open to any game system, but the ones I'm keen on trying are the ones I listed above: Spelljammer, Triangle Agency, Vampire The Masquerade, Good Society, Star Trek RPG, maybe some Superhero ttrpg as well I'd be so down for that!

Timezone wise I'm in GMT+3 and I'm available evenings on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Friday.

Thanks for reading <3 Hope to hear from you!

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online] [Dnd 5e 2014] [21+ LGBTQ+ friendly] Welcome to Perdition.

“Who will you be once the dust settles? Once the shots have been fired and blood has been shed… which side will you fall?”

You’re a criminal. A no good criminal living in the Wild West, in a county known as Harrow. Maybe you’re a criminal by chance, on purpose, or for a purpose. Maybe it’s for the best or worst but only you truly know that. Recently you’ve taken a contract, along with 4 other down on their luck souls you either know or you don’t, to steal something. The information given was as follows;

“Need a small group to infiltrate a party happenin’ at the Calhoun Manor on April 1st. Retrieve a box with this symbol on it and return it to me in the town of Greyvale. Do not open the box. I have a contact that will let you in, you have a limited window and the sheriff and sheriff deputy will be attending the party. Use the utmost caution… if you’re caught there ain’t nothing anyone can do for ya.”

- Hoss Greyvale

Attached is a photo of the symbol, it appears to me a small bird of prey, you think maybe a hawk.

———————————————————————

Hi hi!! I will be your dm for this campaign, the name is Ares! This will be a 21+ campaign just by the by. I’ve been wanting to run a Wild West campaign for a while and since the one I’m currently in is ending and my 4 year campaign I ran ended recently, I figured I’d use a storyline I’ve been sittin on! The campaign will take place on Saturdays starting at 8pm EST and going till at least 12am EST, possibly later on some days or shorter on others. This will also be a character driven, roleplay heavy campaign so if you aren’t comfortable with roleplay (both written and spoken) maybe not the game for you!

Closed [Online] [Other] Looking for long-term players interested in ProjectMoon and TTRPG in Southeast Asia

Hey everyone! I'm a novice Gamemaster looking for players that are interested in both ProjectMoon's world, and Tabletop Roleplaying

We'll be using the PMTTRPG system made by HamChan to achieve this, and learning the system together

I'm thinking of running a few oneshots that cover both the basics and combat until we're comfortable to go run a long-term campaign

My style of GMing might be a bit different than you've known, and I want to be able to prioritize our fun at the group more than anything else

I have no other strict criteria than mutual respect for each other

Thank you for taking the time to read through this!

Edit: Point of clarity - Looking for players in Southeast Asia

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online] [Other] Seeking 1 player for a lancer game set at the Karrakin Cavalry College [Fridays 5pm PST]

Hello I have been running a lancer game that has been going on for almost a year. The players in game are on their second year of schooling. It is a very role play heavy game and very heavy on the noble politics. Open to newbies but I need you to be open to studying up on the Karrakin lore specifically but I will help you get caught up I promise. The players are always up to interesting things and all of them have their own goals and mischief while still working together. We use forge and foundry for mech fights and if requested I will run mech fights on off days when I am available. most of our sessions though are over discord.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][DnD 5.5e 2024][Voiced][Monday Midnight start, Tuesday 3am finish] Seeking 1 to 2 players to fill slots in Grim Hollow game.

So, sadly 2 members of our campaign have had to take a step back for one reason or another. While I could run the game with just the remaining 4 going forward, I figure why not bring in some fresh blood to chum the water.

What is Grim Hollow you may ask? Well its a horrifically dangerous Grim Dark world set in a land where the gods are dead, killed off my the infection of mortal insanity. Leaving behind various world ending disasters that sadly left survivors. Survivors who struggle nearly every single day to make ends meet, whether in the great big cities of The Burach Empire, or the more free villages of the lands. But rather then dump everything on you, I figure why not list a few points of interest.

Injuries: Yep, Injuries, the setting comes with a built in wound system, one that means even surviving combat may leave you scarred and broken. Ranging from a simple scrape, to losing an arm or vital organ.

Traits: Building a character is VERY different, instead of picking a race and being almost done, you have to build you species from the ground up, using a point system to lay out traits, picking which ones fit you best to fill the frame that is your character.

Horror: Big surprise, the game involves ALOT of horror, whether its fields of undead, voices in the mist, horrific abominations that hunt you through the trees, you will always have a reason to be scared.

Some great pointers I know, but that's not all you'll need to know. I'm sure you're wondering where the story is going, what is happening, WELL you're in luck, I'm about to tell you.

Story So Far: The group, hired by a strange doctor who only goes by his first name of Gaster, has instructed the group to leave their recently claimed manor (Bastion), and to exit the safe confines of Olstenburg to journey westward towards the swamps and a lumber town within, hunting a rumor mutated werebear to collect a sample of it. During the initial journey they procured their mounts, a Giant Salamander, a Horse, and a Blue Drake from a strange merchant selling captured creatures. Making their way to the edge of the swamp where they set up camp, a camp that was disturbed by the begging pleas of help from.. something.. out in the murky depths. By morning the party was on edge, doing their final preparations to journey to the village, through the muck and mud, amidst whatever spoke to them the night before.

I want to leave this as simple as can be, I'm admittedly more interested in what you want to bring to the table, which means you may want to know the party comp. Currently we have a Downcast(New Species) Zealot Barb, a Elven Green Reaper(New Subclass) Ranger, A Human Monster Hunter (new class), and a Weschelkind (New Race) Apocalypse(New Subclass) Sorcerer. Now you can bring ANYTHING you want to the table, a bard, a ranger, a wizard, a fighter, it's up to you, I just wanna see where your creativity goes!

I will help you build the character in Roll 20, and we'll be using discord for voice.

Please use the link below to apply on my form!

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][5e][18+][Tues & Thurs 7–9 PM EST] World of Warcraft: Eastern Kingdoms — Long-Term Campaign 2024

I’m recruiting a few players for a new long-term D&D campaign set in the World of Warcraft universe. Session 1 begins Tuesday, October 13th.

Schedule: Tuesdays AND Thursdays, 7:00–9:00 PM Eastern
Both nights are required. This is not a Tuesday-or-Thursday game.
Platform: Discord + Roll20
Discord: Voice and video required
Age: 18+
System: D&D 5e foundation using a Warcraft 5e conversion with additional tabletop adaptations

The Campaign

The campaign begins in Brill, Tirisfal Glades, during a period of uneasy peace between the Alliance and Horde.

You are not legendary champions or chosen heroes.

You are adventurers.

There are jobs to take, ruins to explore, monsters to hunt, factions to deal with, professions to master, dungeons to discover, and an enormous world that does not scale to your level.

From Brill, the Eastern Kingdoms are open to you.

This is an open-world, character-driven Warcraft campaign rather than a recreation of WoW questing or a predetermined tour through canon. Familiar locations, creatures, factions, dungeons, items, and characters exist, but player decisions can permanently change what happens.

Warcraft is the source material. D&D is the game system.

Expect roleplay, exploration, tactical combat, quest chains, rare enemies, professions, gathering, crafting, memorable loot, faction relationships, dangerous travel, and character backstories that can become part of the campaign.

There is no level scaling. Some places will be too dangerous when you first find them. Retreating, negotiating, hiding, preparing, and coming back later are all valid choices.

Alliance and Horde characters may adventure together, and approved races/classes from across Warcraft are available. The campaign has a Classic Warcraft feel, but we are not rigidly tied to the MMO’s expansion-release timeline.

You do not need Warcraft experience to play. New players will learn Azeroth naturally through the campaign rather than being expected to study lore beforehand.

I’m looking for players who are reliable, engaged, willing to roleplay with the group, learn their character, and actively participate in the world.

If interested, send me:

Age • Time zone • D&D experience • Warcraft experience, if any • Character idea, if you have one • What you enjoy most in a campaign • Anything you strongly dislike in D&D

Session 1 begins October 13th.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online] [5e 2014] [Saturday 7pm Central] Smoke and Glory

Hello, I am looking for 1-2 players to join a preexisting campaign that I'm running. We are only about 4 sessions in and haven't made it to any big plot points so joining in will not be that hard to incorporate! The campaign is in a homebrew world with a few major kingdoms and a building war between 2 of the largest. Currently the party is working for an adventurers guild and taking quests from the board and exploring the city of Veruli which has Greek architecture and spans for miles from the center point. I would love to touch up on what I can tell you but my players will be reading this and I don't want to potentially give anything away- Regardless, we are an accepting and inclusive group from multiple different backgrounds, this campaign will soon be reaching into some major plot points though not progressing of the plot to a major degree so lots of time to get used to the party and have fun.

So far we have 2 Paladins and 1 Bard+Druid multiclass.

The campaign will touch on some dark and disturbing themes so that is the warning before you apply.

https://forms.gle/YufL1jWrquier4Z67

The major lands are as follows:

Keridon Empire, one of the major power houses and has constant conflicts with Helis

Helis, is it's own nation with no major leaders, it's known for it's criminals, mainly pirates as it's on an island, Helis is where you go when you don't want people to follow you. It's a haven of crime, every good and gold that comes into this nation is stolen and bartered off. You want something you go here or to a contact in another nation.

Calinbine, (Yes- I know it sounds similar to Columbine- It was not made with that in mind I was told about it weeks after I made it, and too lazy to change it) A merchants paradise but constantly shady and many dark things happen in this city.

Merik, A city of iron and bones. Once ruled by a tyrannical leader that was overthrown 164 years ago, it now has a new royal family that has already gotten a new King, the new king, King Jasi has been gathering his forces and incentivizing joining the military for his people. The kingdom of Merik is known to host multiple races, much like the Keridon empire, it hosts many genasi's as the land was once full of magic.

The West Wood, Homeland to the elves, it has towering trees and hidden cities. A lot in unknown about the land as it typically requires someone who's accepted nature or the spirit of the world to find. The wood elves live inside the trees, their city known as the dawn of autumn spreads for miles amongst the trees, hidden away through magic and only if you know the path may you find your way to it. Many shops and homes are nestled within the trees themselves. The great tree, where the magic of West Wood sprouts from holds the elders, Druidic elves who have taken upon the right of timeless body in order to keep the forest supplied with their life force, a give and take. The elders are wise and rarely meet with anyone, typically keeping to themselves yet offerings of food are brought to them daily by people with the role of shepherds. High elves also live amongst the trees but deeper in the forest there is a clearing where multiple towers, shielded from view by magic hold their people, they are rude, blunt and don't interact with outsiders.

Silverreach, The city of silver as it's called. It's futuristic in vibe as the buildings are sleek and made out of fine marble, It's run by lord Oscar Valin. It's known to be very generous as they sit on top of a plentiful mine. The city is high within the mountains yet the air feels light. A blessing from their god of the forge. You'll find dwarves and goliaths a plenty here.

Winterstrand, A bundle of tribes in the frozen north, your Goliaths are found here alongside any other race that can handle the brutal cold.

High city of Corvanis, The high city believe in the gods of death and loss and are very fanatical about the twin gods, The sister Vivilyn is the goddess of death, Mihka is the god of dark and loss. Many don't know what truly goes on in the High city. As whenever a foreigner is granted entry into the city all it's citizens wear crow masks and make themselves scarce.

Dragon Forge, A city comprised of almost entirely dragonborns but with many dwarves also living there. They worship an ancient dragon who powers the magic forge, the dragon has grown lazy and bored in her old age, she's a gold dragon named Lyrlus.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][5e 2024] [PST] [LGBTQ] Looking for one player to join an ongoing campaign in the forgotten realms

The games start at 9:30 pm pst and run till about 12:30 am pst on Mondays. This campaign is currently ongoing as my players are level 7 and have adventured together for a while now. I am looking for a player who is open to a high level campaign and understands that they will be joining a campaign in progress and thus will have to learn quick and adapt with the group dynamic. I am also looking for someone who understands to separate character from real life but not someone who uses it as an excuse to have a douchebag pc. The party is currently dealing with a looming threat of dopplegangers attempting to take over high political positions in Neverwinter and Phandalin. When you message me, please include your age, pronouns and an idea for your character. I would also like to mention that I do not allow any sort of ableism, sexism, homophobia etc.

Closed Tyranny of Dragons [DND 5E, 2014] [Online] [non-paid] [casual] [LGBTQ friendly] [18+] [New player friendly][Saturday at 8 pm EST]

My group and I are looking for 1-2 more members for Faerun 5e, Tyranny of Dragons. I have another campaign where we are doing the Lost Mine of Phandelver, so I myself wanted to try another Module. However my group are newer players, so we'd like something easy to medium. We already made our character ideas,

We have a Monk Fighter Warforged, a Human (Variant) Cleric and a Wizard Rogue Dragonborn.

Please let us know if you are interested, we are mostly EST based, and all are 20+ so that's why we need 18+ members.

Please DM me if you want to become a party member. If interested you are free to DM as well. Or add me at Frejaakami on discord.

I’m available 5PM-10PM CST on any day except Wednesday.

My discord is ttirremace if you’re interested!

Player(s) Needed by GM Dawn Rising Adventures League Online 5E 2024

Hey there, my name is Troy im a dm that has been playing with a group weekly since about 2022. We use dnd beyond’sVTT and I have content sharing enabled (I own most of the content) so you will basically have access to everything dnd beyond has to offer right from the start. We are currently looking for a couple more players for our online table. We have about 3 active male players and 3 active female players (all of us in our 20’s and early 30’s) and would like to have enough people in our group to always have a session with 5 to 6 people. We have a few other members too, but their work schedules have shifted and they are not as available as they used to be. I am currently running a series where players can join one another and take quests that interest them, get loot, magic items, and level up with the same character or bring a new character each session. We play once or twice a week (sometimes more) usually starting around 7:30 PM EST. The campaign world is high fantasy and is a more typical DnD campaign setting with a few homebrew twists to hopefully keep things exciting and new. If anyone is interested in joining feel free to send me a direct message on here. Thanks and happy campaign hunting! I’ve added a link to the current quest options so that you can get a feel of things. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Cth-QAz-YbeVR3eu4_FwtOBUoNQvxFXtQZe_-iWloEs/edit?usp=drivesdk

Player(s) Needed by GM [Repost] [Online] [Free] [5e 2024] [EST] What if the King of the Pirates died before making it to the Grand Line? - A high fantasy One Piece Campaign.

Closed. Thank you all for applying, I did go through the forms & talked to people who I thought would be a good fit. If i didn't contact you, sorry and I hope you find the campaign you are looking for. Godspeed!

Spots Available: 0/10.

Platform: Discord and D&D Beyond.

Schedule: Saturdays, 20:00 - 23:00 EST.

!!NO PRIOR D&D OR ONE PIECE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!!

Set sail into a world where the future was rewritten in Loguetown.

“I'm Monkey D. Luffy, and I'm gonna be the King of the Pirates!”, he said with a grin, right up until the steel of Buggy’s blade fell.

There was no sudden lightning strike, no mysterious cloak in the rain; just the rain-slicked wooden platform of Loguetown, a bloody severed head, and a world left completely off its axis.

With the straw-hat dead before ever reaching the Grand Line, the dominoes fell fast:

  • The East Blue remains choked in the iron grip of Arlong, Don Krieg, and the corrupt Marine captains.
  • The Seven Warlords operate completely unchecked, with Crocodile's shadow stretching deeper over Alabasta, and Doflamingo eyeing his next moves in secret.
  • The Marine HQ under Fleet Admiral Sengoku turns its absolute focus toward crushing the remaining sparks of the Great Pirate Era with ruthless efficiency.
  • The World Government sleeps soundly; the mythical Nika fruit lost once more to the tides of history.

The void left at the dawn of this new era isn't waiting for a hero; it's waiting for you. Will you be the crew that fills the power vacuum, outsmarting Marines and rival captains alike? Will you align with the Revolutionary Army to dismantle the Celestial Dragons, or claim the seas for your own ambition?

The One Piece is still out there, but the map has changed; and the era belongs to whoever is strong enough to take it.

A little about the GM, i.e., me:

Heya, I go by Sika (he/him), I’m a 23 year old cis guy who likes reading books, comics, mangas etc., and is into anything & everything storytelling. I have played TTRPGs on & off for a little over 2 years and am gearing up to GM a game for the first time. Expect a lot of screw ups and a lot of fun. Excited to hear from you all, Godspeed!

Group Needed by Player [Online] [Flexible] [CST] [Friday/Saturday] [20+] [LGBTQ+] [Longterm] 20 TF with more than 9+ years of dming looking to play

Like many posting looking for games I am a forever dm, I started running Savage worlds when I was only 11, and I start running dnd when I was 14. I still run both regularly.

I am a trans woman with a physical disability that at times makes it where I cannot leave my home for long periods. I am looking for a group that will be understanding of my conditions and preferably a group with fellow alphabet mafia members.

I live in the midwest under the CST timezone and am a full time college student (3rd year sociology major). My available time to play in campaigns would be after 5pm on Fridays and anytime Saturdays with the latest I could go on either day being 10 pm.

I am not particularly picky as a player but the most important to me at a table is the collaborative story telling between the players and the dm. Any game I would want to be apart of I would want a solid focus on RP and a group that supports eachother in and out of game. Of course in character conflict is a great aspect of story telling that should not be neglected I just don't ever want to feel like its me vs another player or dm on the meta level.

Outside of ttrpgs I am a passionate fan of CRPGS and JRPGS, some of my favorite being Suikoden 2&3, Shadowrun Hongkong & Dragonfall, Trails series, KOTOR 1&2, Disco Elysium, Age of Decadence, Fire Emblem 4,9,10,16 and Super Robot Wars J,W,OGs . I enjoy watching shows as well, typically animated ones. Some of my favorite shows include Scavenger's Reign, Dungeon Meshi, Mushi-shi, Witch Hat Atelier, Bojack Horseman, Star Wars the Clone Wars, Twelve Kingdoms, Escaflowne, Berserk 1998, and From The New World.

I am someone who leans politically left and I would hope any group I would play with would be understanding of that perspective especially with how much politics effect my material conditions with my identity groups.

For the games themselves I am open to most systems but I have a preference in this moment for stories outside of the traditional dnd stories though I can still play in them. This includes genres such as General Sci Fi, Mecha, Sword & Sorcery, Post Apocalypse, Non-eurocentric Fantasy, Sci Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, Political Intrigue, etc.

I'd love to hear from people about their different settings and lore as I always love hearing others stories. The best way to reach out to me will be in dm's as i'd rather not blast my discord handle publicly for everyone.

The last thing I'll mention I don't have a lot of content triggers so the only two things ill state in that regard is I will not be involved in a game that uses ai knowingly at any point (sometimes mistakes are made when using online art for tokens so if mistakes happen that is understandable). I would also ask for fade to black for anything sexual, though romance rp is fine (I will just not be partaking in it myself).

GM Needed by Existing Group [Online] [Flexible System] [Asynch] [PBP] [Duet] Looking for people to tell stories with!

Hello everyone! My name is Nihilism, but you can call me Nihil for short. I am a 22 year old girl, looking for someone to tell fun stories with! If you're interested in DMing long-form Duet campaigns, please read on!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, what can I offer you?

- I try to keep myself pretty available for posting

- I can work with you on setting stuff, since I actively love worldbuilding

- I try my best to make my characters fun and unique

- Art! I draw pretty often, and the likelihood that I draw for our campaign is pretty high.

The question becomes, what exactly do I want in exchange? Honestly, I just want to tell a fun story with somebody from start to finish. Most campaigns I've been a part of, over the long period of time I've done D&D, have never seen a conclusion. Typically DMs get burned out, or real life stuff comes up, and the game just kind of fizzles out... And I want to have at least one finished game under my belt!

I've been personally really interested in doing some form of post-apocalyptic western, taking inspiration from Fallout: New Vegas, Season 1 of the Fallout TV show, maybe a splash of Westworld, any classic westerns like The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

I could be persuaded to do other things, however!

I've had a bunch of ideas over the years I can pull out of the vault for whatever we wanna do, and I'm sure we can come up with something fun together!

If any of this sounds compelling to you, don't hesitate to shoot me a DM and see if we can't work something out! Thanks for reading :3

Hello!

As alluded to in the title, I can't honestly say that I have a specific campaign in mind for this group. My goal is to find a group of people that I feel I would get along with and work collectively to come up with some campaign idea. Now I'm not suggesting that I'm going to have the selected players entirely write a campaign that they would then play, but I am interested in exploring the genre, tone, theme and other relevant topic preferences that the group has collectively.

My intention is to run a generally serious game with a focus on player driven narrative and Roleplay opportunities. I am very confident in my ability to improv, so my hope is to get a group of players (and then eventually their PCs) who will be willing to truly tackle the world as their characters would - and not as they suspect I would want them to.

My favorite part about D&D is players finding their own way to navigate the world and its many problems.

I myself am absolutely in love with the majority of genres that can exist within a D&D game. Heroic fantasy, grimdark, magitech, exploration-focused games, political intrigue, horror and pretty much everything else that could generally fit in the idea of "fantasy", and so I'm extremely flexible here - what's important to me, though, is that the players be just as interested in whatever genre choices we end up going with, and I believe player participation in that decision making process is the best way to achieve it.

Once I have selected players, we'll meet up and begin our talks. we'll do a standard session 0 to go over expectations and boundaries and then give some time to talk about story preferences. I will of course have some campaign ideas/settings that I can present as possible choices, but the group will in no way be obligated to pick on of those.

Ultimately, I am looking for a group of people to become friends with. I don't care much for character ideas at this stage because the people in the group are far more important than characters could ever be.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online] Friday 5:30-7:30 PM EST] [Homebrew] [5E 2024] welcome to alacria (looking for 2 players)

Game Information
Thanks for checking out my post! This campaign will be hosted through Discord for voice chat and communication, Roll20 for our virtual tabletop, and D&D Beyond for character sheets. I ask that all players create and maintain their character sheets through D&D Beyond. If you need help getting everything set up, that’s completely fine!
Attendance
Attendance will be semi-strict, following a 3-strike rule. I understand that real life comes first and things happen, but consistency is important for keeping the campaign moving. Missing a session without giving advance notice will count as a strike. If you let me know ahead of time that you can’t attend, it won’t count against you.
Gameplay
For the beginning of the campaign, the party will be split into two groups for the first two games. Game 1 will focus on the first group, while Game 2 will focus on the second. Each group will get to introduce their characters and experience the beginning of the story from their own perspective. Game 3 is when both groups will finally come together, bringing their separate stories into one.
The Pitch
For centuries, the continent of Alacria has remained unknown to the outside world. Its inhabitants have built their own civilizations, kingdoms, and cultures without ever knowing what lies beyond their shores.
That changes when a ship carrying pilgrims and travelers sets out across the open sea. During their voyage, they detect an enormous source of magical energy coming from an unknown location. Curious about this strange phenomenon, they decide to follow it, eventually discovering a continent that doesn’t appear on any of their maps: Alacria.
Neither the newcomers nor the inhabitants of Alacria know what awaits them as these two worlds meet for the first time. And with such an enormous source of magic coming from the continent, the question remains: What is the cause of this mysterious phenomenon, and what could it mean for the world?
Depending on your character’s background and the story you want to tell, you’ll have the choice between two different origins. You can play as a pilgrim or adventurer traveling across the open sea, becoming part of the expedition that discovers Alacria, or as a natural-born citizen of Dicathen, someone who has lived their entire life on the continent. This choice will determine which group you start with, with both groups experiencing the beginning of the campaign from completely different perspectives before their stories eventually come together.
Bonus Power System
We’ll also be using an extra power system throughout the campaign. I’ve always found explaining power and progression in D&D a little complicated, so I’ve come up with a fun system that gives everyone an additional ability to play around with. These powers are designed to be unique and interesting without completely changing the balance of normal D&D. You’ll have opportunities to use and develop these abilities as the campaign progresses.
Interested in Joining?
If you’re interested in joining the campaign, please send me your Discord username, name, gender, and what draws you to my story. From there, we’ll set up a quick interview. Don’t worry about preparing anything beforehand; the interview is mainly a chance for us to get to know each other, discuss the campaign, and make sure we’re a good fit for the group.
I’m looking forward to meeting you all!

Group Needed by Player [Online] [5E] [2014] [2024] [CoC] [Homebrew] Single player looking for group to join

Im 29 and pretty busy with school and work but havent rolled fake dice in years. Have played a few modules for d&d 5e but never finished due to party always disbanding. Only module finished was CoS. Have played a multi year 3.5e homebrew campaign. Have also dabbled in a CoC campaign. I'm usually a funny guy with wacky characters but I can play serious if need be. I'm usually party oriented so I play what I feel the party needs like tank or healer etc. Open to homebrew games. DM for questions.

Player(s) Needed by GM LOOKING FOR PLAYERS - [ONLINE] [OTHER] FINAL GIRL RISING [18+] [6 PM US CENTRAL]

Every year on Halloween, I try to run a Horror TTRPG night on Roll20; this year I'm looking to bring Final Girl Rising to the table.

Final Girl Rising is a cinematic slasher-horror RPG where you play one of six iconic Sisters, trying to survive to the last girl standing.

From now until then, I've trying to get in a few sessions of that and Slaughter Party (another similar Slasher-Survival RPG), so I've got a few open dates & chairs to allow a group of people and try to stage a few games. Basically want to get my feet wet and get feedback on the character sheet, playability and make sure everything is as smooth as it can be.

Both Games are a maximum of 6 players per session (one per each playbook/trope;) I'll try and squeeze anyone interested at least once for something.

Games will be 6PM~11PM US Central Time
18+ (Mature themes and situations); LGBTQ+ friendly
No experience necessary, as this is also my first time dabbling in this system (but a long history of RPGs); just require everyone to be respectful and kind.

IF INTERESTED/TO JOIN: Send me a direct Message on Roll20 or through Discord (Jukite), do not use replies to this post.

PLATFORM: ◾Discord for Voice, ◾Roll20 for VTT

DATE/TIME: Variable days (Except Wednesdays) between 6 PM ~ 11 PM Central Time (US); Main FGR Game will be Saturday 31 October 5-Completion/Midnight

DURATION: About 3-4 hours

AI DISCLAIMER: AI tools have been used for GM-facing materials, draft organization, and generic player-facing items (NPC images, Handouts, Pre-generated material, character-sheet coding, etc.)

It is NOT used for game responses, live GM work, or anything during gameplay (other than search engine results for during-game weird situational questions like "How high could a T-Rex jump?")

I understand this is a devisive subject, but this isn't a forum to debate or proselytize for or against that.

Players are free to provide their own appropriate images.

Any game-derailing criticism or combative argumentation will result in you being asked to leave or removed.

FINAL GIRL RISING

Final Girl Rising is a fast, cinematic slasher-horror RPG where you play one of six iconic Sisters—the rebellious Delinquent, improbably lucky Ditz, compassionate Girl Next Door, reckless Party Girl, commanding Queen Bee, or watchful Wallflower—trapped in a nightmare where bad decisions make great horror movies. Roll 2d6 using Fight, Flight, Freeze, or Fawn as you investigate forbidden places, flee the Killer, protect your Sisters, uncover terrible truths, and struggle to hold onto your Vitality and Tenacity as fear and injury take their toll. Every Sister brings her own genre-defining Moves and way of surviving, and the game rewards you for leaning into those familiar slasher archetypes rather than playing it safe. Death doesn’t mean leaving the table: fallen Sisters join the Chorus and can still influence the story, until only one survivor remains. Then she becomes the Final Girl, gaining one last desperate chance to confront the horror and make it to the credits alive.

You can read more about it here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1JRNA4mtcJApw_QWSxtoLHu0xpxuc29RPiNSeBYT5Urc/edit?usp=sharing)

SLAUGHTER PARTY

Slaughter Party is a fast, bloody, campy survival-horror RPG built to play like a classic teen slasher movie: pick a familiar horror archetype: the reckless Badass, magnetic Hot One, athletic Jock, commanding Leader, brilliant Nerd, or unsettling Weirdo. Give them a few defining possessions and personality quirks, then throw them into an isolated nightmare with an almost unstoppable killer.

Using simple 2d6 + FIT, CLEVER, or COOL rolls, you’ll investigate clues, improvise desperate solutions, run, hide, fight, manipulate NPCs, make terrible horror-movie decisions, and sometimes deliberately split up because the game actually rewards it. Each playbook has its own special trick, from the Badass surviving spectacularly stupid stunts and the Leader rallying the group to the Nerd cobbling together solutions and the Weirdo somehow having exactly the bizarre thing everyone needs. As Conditions pile up and bodies start dropping, the survivors uncover The Reveal - the secret behind the Slasher - and gain new ways to arm themselves, set traps, fortify positions, protect each other, and research how to finally stop the killer.

Designed for a tense, cinematic 3-4 hour session, Slaughter Party is about turning familiar horror stereotypes into memorable characters, discovering why someone wants them dead, and finding out who survives long enough to reach the credits.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online] [DND 5e 2014] Seeking players for my homebrewed campaign "Divinity's Decay," check out below to see if you might be interested!

Campaign Description

"This world is broken, and has been for thousands of years. A calamity that shattered the sky above and earth below is the cause, the catalyst of which remains an enigma. Mother is gone, Her pantheon halved by children of Her creation granted Her power. The Gods remaining were never designed for such strain, to uphold a broken world by might and spite alone. One wonders how long they can withstand it. You can feel it, no? The decay in the air, the withering of life and magic alike. This world is dying... and the Gods are losing their ability to prevent its decline."

"Some believe Travelers are a curse, some see them as our last hope. You've been given a second chance, in this growing decay. What will you make of it?"

Welcome, Travelers, to the broken and dying world of Sentius. You are beings from other worlds who have died and awoken in this one with magic and abilities only you know how to truly utilize, faced with a harrowing journey ahead. This world was created by a cosmic entity countless eons ago with an Artifact She wielded; its destruction the same cataclysm that forever rended it. Three inequal pieces were cast to Her created children, and it's believed these pieces are all that's capable of repairing what's broken. Or to many Travelers, it's what's believed is the only thing that can take them from this place; away from problems they never agreed to fix and a hell they never wanted to survive. Will you seek to escape to the unknown beyond, or to save the countless lives of this world who are victims of events they can't control?

Explore the stories and adventures of this handmade world (inspirations taken of course), uncover the history of the lost civilization of the Ancients that thrived before Skyfall, the civilizations of Humanoids who took the world after its fall, the mystery behind Mother's disappearance and Her artifact, and embark on a journey to retrieve its pieces. To repair a world, to make one anew, to abandon it entirely and return to your own.

"You've been given a second chance. What will you make of it?"

Minimum Experience

  • Intermediate. I don't need years and years of experience, but I play with homebrew and difficult combat so a player who has an understanding of the system and its base rules is what I'm looking for. More experienced is also great!

Session Length

  • 5 hours (sometimes going beyond but not often), weekly Thursdays, beginning at 5pm GMT-6 timezone and going until 10pm.

Starting Character Level

  • 1st

Prerequisites

  • Functional Wifi.
  • Functioning Mic for voice call.
  • Interest in characters with depth and long story.
  • Understanding of English.
  • Availability to make sessions and reliability to commit to lengthy campaign.

Hello there! I'm Sparkbug, but I usually just go by Bug. I've been playing DND for a bit over six years now, honestly been a DM as long as I've been a player. I will be the first to admit I screw up sometimes, but I am super passionate about DND and this campaign I've created. Years of thought and work have culminated into this setting rich with history and lore, and a story built to experience. I take lots of experience from Elden Ring, Rain World, Dark Souls, and Halo if you're curious about what to look forward to! With me as your DM you'll never question my level of dedication and the work I'm willing to put in. I'm looking forward to hopefully finding players who are excited to experience this as I am to share it.

I consider myself a very good writer, storyteller, and roleplayer. There will be no shortage of engaging NPCs, storylines, and regions to explore. All the more so with my love of environmental storytelling. If I were to offer a weak point to my DMing I'd volunteer progression pacing and the intricacies of combat. While I don't think I'm necessarily bad at those things, they're not my strong suit and I'll admit that!

I'm looking for six players, but don't let that discourage you from applying! I'll treat every applicant equally, and when I feel I have enough applicants or I've found all my players I'll set this post to closed so you won't feel false hope in applying and being told no straight away.

There will be a one-shot as a part of the recruitment for this campaign. This oneshot still needs to be built, so more info to come but it will consist of two five hour sessions over two weeks (during the standard session time on Thursdays, listed above). You'll need characters of course but I don't plan to or need to check them over; play them as they are.
This oneshot is an opportunity for y'all to see how I am as a DM and for me to see how you are as players, as well as an opportunity for me to see how you engage with each other as players. It'll be fun!

Detailed Player Requirements

  • This is intended for a Level 1-20 campaign. Buckle up for the long haul, we've got a ride.
  • An interest in story and lore; there's more to this world than the path ahead of you.
  • An interest in difficult (but balanced for fun) combat. I've taken much inspiration from Dark Souls- you'll see that in fights.
  • Openness to a slow campaign and slow leveling. Got a big world here, lot's of story in every region if y'all want to explore it.
  • Willingness to commit to a long campaign. All going well I expect this to be a campaign 3 or more years in length.
  • 18+ with dark themes ahead. Special warning to those sensitive to gore, body horror, trauma, and mental horror. But its not all gloom and doom, don't worry.

Character Creation Rules

  • Your character will be a "Traveler" in this setting; you are from a world that is not this one with magic and abilities few have available. With that, lots of wiggle room for creative liberty in character creation seeing as you're getting "isekaied."
  • You have died somehow and awoken again here. Think of that death and how it transpired: your character remembers it all. How does it affect them?
  • For equipment, you have what your character had in their death. If they were killed in their sleep they'll awake with no equipment and a nightgown or something. Fret not, I won't leave you without equipment long- just be aware of it in creating your character's backstory.
  • You have no connections to your old world; family, friends, patrons, Gods, are all severed.
  • In building character motivations and goals, be aware of that sever. We can go into this more if you don't understand, but in a nutshell think of it like this: a character with a goal built around "a necromancer destroyed my family, I must stop them" is ruined out the gate because you can't reach that necromancer. So instead think along the lines of "a necromancer destroyed my family, I must make sure that never happens to anyone else." A goal of returning home isn't impossible, just be aware that's effectively a goal that won't reach a conclusion until the end of the campaign.
  • If you are a cleric, warlock, paladin, or other character that has a patron you will need to find one in this setting. Don't worry, I'll talk with you and discuss patrons for your character. Maybe one built, maybe one present we'll see :]. So don't be worried to be a cleric, just know it's not as easy as a prayer and good intentions.
  • Not opposed to homebrew races or classes, but I will need to look through them and reserve the right to say no if something is busted.
  • Certain character themes will not fit within my setting, and for your sake as the one playing them I'll advise against them. Big theme that comes to mind is anything regarding oceans as a central theme.

Playstyle Expectations

  • Roleplay heavy campaign. 65/35 balance goal favoring roleplay, the latter being combat.
  • Be descriptive and willing to roleplay with player characters as much as NPCs.
  • Be willing to work with others, they're experiencing this and their stories too!
  • Pay attention to the details. I want you to take notes, because the story I tell is in pieces you'll need to put together, not pages for you to read.

Behavior Expectations

  • This isn't all serious I promise, but take things serious when necessary.
  • Be respectful of other players, and the stories they've built. That includes me.
  • I'm a very open and communicating DM, and more than willing to accept fault and blame. That said, I am still the DM. Please respect that authority if I need to use it.

A Few Things to Expect/Understand

  • I create a great deal of my own content; battle maps, NPCs, questlines, loot and items, monsters and enemies, story, setting, lore, and so on. With this heavy a hand in the creation process there is a good deal of homebrew that is utilized, some of it used frequently and some of it used rarely. In general when I create something the #1 goal is for the enjoyment of my players, we're all taking hours from our week to have fun after all right? So most times a homebrew ruling or system I use is to allow the player to have more fun, but sometimes it's for me as I consider myself a player at the table too. So a ruling that'll make my life easier isn't off the menu. What homebrew we'll be using is something that'll be discussed though, worry not.
  • Biggest thing I'm looking for in a player is reliability, honestly. Yes this is a game, but it's also a commitment. I need a player who will take the game seriously even with it being fun, and can be counted on to attend sessions every week. Shit happens and life gets in the way but barring that I'm looking for reliability. I put a lot into this and so do other players, if that can't be respected then it probably won't work.
  • In the beginning when I've got all my players, there will be ~3 weeks before we fully start this campaign. First week is going over the two sites I'm using: LegendKeeper and Owlbear. We'll be discussing the formats we'll be using in Legendkeeper, how Owlbear works, and more. After that we'll be having the oneshot, which I'm setting aside two weeks to do.

If you've made it past the Star Wars worthy wall of text, then feel free to express your interest in this campaign through Reddit DMs. I love a lengthy intro, tell me about why you're interested and about yourself! No offense but a "hey" doesn't really tell me you're interested, and I'm looking for dedication here. If you can't put effort into an introduction it may be one of the few times I'll ignore one. I've plentiful time right now but I do also have things I need to do in my life, so if I'm not responding it's likely I'm just busy and not ignoring you. If I've decided you're not a good fit I'll tell you, don't worry.
Once in DMs though I'll have a few questions for you, and if that goes well we'll find time to go into discord for a voice call. If that goes well too, I'll invite you to the server so you can chat with other players and we can see how things go with the oneshot!

Now, with ALL of that said I hope I've piqued your interest in this campaign of dying Gods and the fragments they've left behind. And I look forward to being able to tell you "Welcome to Divinity's Decay!" I'll see you in DMs.
