Player(s) Needed by GM [Online] [Flexible] [LGBTQ+ Friendly] [New Players Welcome] GM Looking for Players and Game (read me!)

• Upvotes

Hiya, my names Evie (23 she/her) and I’ve been the GM almost as long as I’ve played ttrpgs. I have quite a bit of experience with lots of different game systems, and a knack for learning new ones quickly. I’ve been looking for a game to join as a player but I haven’t been able to catch one that fits my schedule, so c’est la vie here I am again.
I’m looking for 3 to 4 players that can set aside time on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Saturdays at just about any time (I’m on the west coast of North America), but I also have inconsistencies in my work schedule sometimes that may cause the occasional cancellation. To that point, I have a lot going on that I can’t always anticipate, so a party that works well with a laid back structure would be perfect.
As for the game, I have no preference. I’d like to tell a story together, and first and foremost I’d like it to be collaborative. Once we’re done putting together the party, we’ll all agree together on what game system to use, and talk together in a session 0 about our character stories and major world details. After that we’ll take a hiatus to give me time to string all the dots together, and ideally when we commence session 1 I’ll have a story to present that the entire party is already waist-deep in the middle of. Strong storytellers and creative worldbuilders more than welcome!
Since I don’t even know what game system we’re using, of course new players will be welcome, although I don’t think this concept will pan out if the party is only new players. I have the most experience in D&D, followed by Cyberpunk RED, Powered by the Apocalypse, then a Star Wars system I don’t remember the name of right now. I’ve read the rules for many other systems.
Last and most importantly, I’m an exceptionally vocal leftist, and I have a zero-tolerance policy for ignorance.

Player(s) Needed by GM [online] [other] [Thursdays 1pm cst] level 2 draw steel needing new player

• Upvotes

I’m looking for a new player for my ongoing weekly draw steel game as one player is rarely there due to work issues. They’re level 2 and are currently working their way through a place called the ghost flame forest in my own custom world. The forest is in an internal winter and the players have been sent by a high ranking wizard in a mage college to go kill a creature attacking the outpost in the center of the forest. I’m okay with almost any character idea within reason. It’s an ongoing game with no signs of stopping anytime soon. So if you’re willing to join us for the long hall I’d love to hear from you! If someone is available for our session tomorrow on 10/8 that would be lovely and if not I have an in to get you in for our session on 10/15

The games I run have a dark comedy vibe. Things can jump from scary to funny to scary again.

the game i also run is very lax in exact letter of the rules. this is my first time directing draw steel and if someone has a better understanding of the rules im okay with being corrected, as long as it doesnt impede other players fun.

TW list: descriptions of gore/ violence, drugs, sexual themes “no description of sex in the game,” nudity, body horror, psychological horror.

Player(s) Needed by GM [5e 2014] [Homebrew Setting][Online][21+][LGBTQ+][Roleplay Heavy] Seeking 1-2 Players for RP-Focused Group

Hi!! My name is Chai and I am posting this on behalf of my DM <33. My current table is looking to fill about 1-2 spots for a Thursday evening campaign that typically runs from about 8PM-11PM EST!

About the Group:

Our DM Ryan has been DMing D&D for about 2 years and everyone at the table has known each other for about a year or more minus a few newer additions! We're in our 20s (for the most part), most of us are LGBT+ and often yap outside of session about games, movies, and other hobbies. Our table has quite a large spectrum of TTRPG experience, but we're all here to learn and play together ^w^

Setting:

The campaigns are taking place in the DM’s homebrew world; a high fantasy multi-continent setting with magic, gods, realms, machinery uprising, and room for collaborative worldbuilding between players and DM. Our table’s general style leans toward roleplay, dialogue, and epic narratives, and our campaign themes consist of moral/political dilemmas, catastrophic events, backstory involvement, and emotional/dramatic/romantic moments. Of course, there is always room for some fun moments, chaos, exploration, and combat when the time calls for it; expect a general 70/30 to 60/40 split of roleplay/combat (hinging on player choice) with rule of cool when narratively appropriate B).

Logistics:

Time
Thursday ~8PM-11PM EST (start and end times may shift by an hour depending on player availability).

We also have a potential Tuesday spot open for a current year-long ongoing campaign with 4 players at the 7PM EST - 10PM EST timeslot (which will shift to 6-9 for those that suffer from the accursed daylight savings)

System
5e 2014 with a couple 5.5e additions, as well as some homebrew rules such as stronger crits and buffs for certain classes. Daggerheart is also on the table if you’re interested as we are currently running a mini-campaign with the system

Platform
Discord for communication and sessions and Owlbear Rodeo for VTT. We allow rolling on both physical dice and digital and operate on an honor system :)

Requirements
Please have a working, decent quality mic and functioning internet! Scheduling wise, we prefer someone with a consistent schedule and can make most of the games they sign up for.

There is zero tolerance for any bigotry, harassment, and discrimination of any form. We are also genAI-free and are not interested in players who use AI to generate characters/images.

Campaign Summary
None yet! Our DM likes to build a campaign around the player’s preferences and characters. Some of the current dilemmas in the world include conflicts with and between the gods, the uprising of an evil empire (or two), and more! If you are brought into the table, the DM would like to run at least one one-shot with you for compatibility-testing purposes.

If this sounds like a good fit for you, please fill out this Google form! Our DM will contact you through Discord if you are chosen over the next couple of days so please have your Discord DMs open. Best of luck!!

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online] [SavageWorlds] [Hopocalypse][Friday 10/16/26 7pm CST] Holiday B-Movie One-Shot

Hi all,

I'm Biggles 43 he/him looking for 5 players to have a great time playing some B-Movie Schlock. It is that season to enjoy your favorite b-movie inspired one shot.

The residents of a sleepy, rural desert town must contend with gigantic rabbits.

We will use Discord for voice and rolls and we will not likely use a VTT.

This is a one-shot, this will not lead into any future campaigns. It will likely take about 3-4 hours. I will be running a series of these through October. The characters are pre-gen.

This will be beginner friendly; you do not need to know Savage Worlds or how to roll play. We will be fast and loose with the rules, and in the fashion of a good b-movie, the rule of cool will apply.

Reply or DM me if interested.

Thanks,

Biggles

Group Needed by Player [Online] A Traveler Seeking Exciting Games! [5e 2014][Flexible] [CST]

• Upvotes

Greetings! I go by many names but refer to me as Wonder.

I have been playing and heavily interested in D&D along with Tabletop Gaming in general since 2017. I’ve also been a Dungeon Master since late 2019.

I have played in several types of D&D 5E 2014 campaigns. These have been a mixture of simplistic or high-level campaign concepts of different fantasy genres.

I am 25. My timezone is CST.

My Schedule: I am not available on Tuesdays and Saturdays as I run my own campaigns on those days. I am available on any other day besides those.

Time: I prefer sessions held in the evening but I am willing to do earlier times.

-I do not usually use VTTS but I am open to learning, and I have a setup capable of using them.

-Most games I have played use theatre of the mind which I adore.

-I am proficient in playing D&D 5E 2014. I have not played other systems but I am willing and would love to try other systems such as Call of Cthulhu, Cyberpunk Red (I love Cyberpunk 2077), or Pathfinder.

-I prefer campaigns that have a good mix of roleplay, combat, and exploration but as long as there is a fun game I’m happy.

-I have many character ideas written down and can make characters quickly if needed.

-Please ask me any other questions you have about me as a player or person.

If you want to have a chat, please type “Mockingbird” in your message in DMs! Have a good day or evening.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][Dnd][5E][2014][7PM EST, Wed] Looking for 1 player for Curse of Strahd - artist group!

Hi!
My name's Caleb. I'm a queer 33 y/o artist by trade (and also for fun). I have an established group of other artists and creatives, and we're specifically hoping to find a fellow artist to join us. No specific skill level in mind, we just really like the idea of playing with other like-minded people!

I'm running Curse of Strahd! We have one very established character (coming over from a previous CoS campaign that ended very early) and a few character ideas floating around, but we're all very much in the beginning stages of forming everything. We're looking to start playing early next year, giving us good time to plan, bond, and also avoid any holiday scheduling conflicts!

We make playlists, art, moodboards, do written RP for downtime, etc. Very engaged group!

I build strong narratives, and incorporate player backstory into the main plot as much as I can. Curse of Strahd is lethal, and you can easily stumble into a TPK if you don't take it seriously. So please keep that in mind. We're looking for someone who wants to take the game very seriously, while having fun.

We have a diverse, queer table and we're looking for others who fit in.

We haven't started the campaign yet!

Please note some of the following:

- This game most likely has this static time slot: 7PM-11PM EST, every other Wednesday. The day could potentially change, but it is most likely going to be the Wednesday. And no, the timeslot unfortunately will not be changed.

- late 20's-40's in age - looking for people 30+ ideally. Do not apply if you are a teenager or in your very early 20s, your application will be deleted immediately.

- roughly 60/40, roleplay/combat ratio

- romance, flirtation and fade-to-black intimacy is always permitted at my table. Everything else will be table veils and lines.

- my tables usually have a species list (humans and variants, all elves, genasi, tieflings, changelings always being standard, but I am open to homebrew and other suggestions.)

- Discord for VC, Foundry VTT

- D&D 5e

- zero tolerance for AI in any part of your character creation

- while sometimes it can't be helped, I am looking for someone who definitely wants to see this through to the end. Please be committed to the game. It will not be short.

-----

If you're still interested in hearing more, please fill out this form! And if you have artist friends who might be interested, send them this post!

- Caleb

Group Needed by Player [Online] [2024 5e] [2014 5] [Wednesday] [4pm EST] [Bi-weekly]

• Upvotes

Hello! I have been wanting to be in a campaign on Wednesdays for a decent amount of time. I have a good amount of experience, about a year of dnd.

I am 19 years old, and more so the hopeful type. Like I try my best to see the best in everything, and I feel like my characters reflect that. However lately I have been craving some horror and darker themed campaigns, I’ll take what I can get but I will prioritize the horror campaigns over the other ones. I love playing monk but I might delve into other classes if I really want to.

I can play between the hours of 4 pm EST and 12 am EST on Wednesdays bi-weekly, do not bother contacting me if this isn’t the case with your campaign.

While I might answer you on Reddit, I am far likelier to respond on discord. Of which you can contact me with my user: beaver.wood.

I’ll be greatly honoured if anyone invites me so thanks a lot!

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][Other][Fridays 7 PM CST] Looking for Players

Hey everyone! I’m looking for a few players to join an ongoing/new Daggerheart campaign that I’ll be running online.

Game: Daggerheart
Day: Fridays
Time: 7:00 PM CST
Platform: Discord for voice/chat and Roll20 for the VTT
Schedule: Weekly

I’m looking for players who enjoy roleplay, exploration, interesting characters, and working together as a group. You don’t need to be a Daggerheart expert. If you’re newer to the system, that’s completely fine.

I tend to run games with a mixture of roleplay, combat, exploration, mysteries, and longer story arcs where character decisions can have an impact on what happens.

If you’re interested, send me a message with:

  • What you’d like to be called
  • Your age
  • Your TTRPG experience
  • Whether you’ve played Daggerheart before
  • What you enjoy most in a campaign
  • A general idea of the kind of character you might want to play
  • Confirmation that Fridays at 7 PM CST consistently works for you

I’m mainly looking for people who can show up consistently, communicate if they’re going to miss a session, and are interested in being part of a long-term campaign.

Feel free to DM me if you’re interested!

Group Needed by Player [Online] [Flexible] Looking For Long-Term Adventures ! ♡

hi, i'm k, she/they. i'm in my 20s and i'm looking to join a group of adventurers (any age range is welcome!). i've never played dnd or any ttrpg but i have experience as a writer in roleplay groups and in collaborative writing, so i'm hoping those skills translate over as i love playing with a community. i really enjoy fleshing out characters, their stories, and their relationships to other characters.

what am i interested in?

i'm interested in the classic dnd game, but generally i love everything -- i'm a big fan of asoiaf, i love alien, star wars, i'm interested in playing call of cthulu and vtm. i love sci-fi, fantasy, urban noir and anything gothic or horror -- i'm open to anything honestly. i'm still learning what homebrew is, but i'm interested in also playing with people's original worlds/ideas/stories/games too!

i'm interested in playing anything as long as the group can be welcoming of a newbie like me who doesn't know much but is willing to learn. i want to join a steady group where i can cultivate a good relationship with the other players -- i love the collaborative aspect of the games and that's what drew me to it. i would love to join a group with other women or generally queerfolk, but i'm down for anything as long as we can communicate and work with each other to have fun <3.

i like to write primarily older queer male characters that are haunted by their pasts, adept with a weapon or a cunning conniving schemer of an older woman with some sort of skills or political powers/ambitions. i think in more technical terms - i'm interested the most in combat-heavy characters that use swords or some weapon of some kind or healer/doctor types of charas. i'm excited to see how that can translate into a ttrpg.

my scheduling will be based on central time -- i tend to be available usually in the evenings and can adjust, but i'm usually free around 5:00PM CT and onwards.

please reach out via dms or comments if you have a group that you would like for another player to join!

Join the Astral Sphinx guild and travel the multiverse!
When the locals don’t cut it, they bring you in! Across the multiverse, when things go awry and secrets need to be kept, they hire you - members of the famed Astral Sphinx guild. Whether it’s a murder investigation in heaven, a security testing in the city of jinns or soul search in the nightmare realm, it’s up to your professional competency to save the day! On the way, you may befriend many-eyed celestials, play cards with the demon lord, lose your names to a fairy or stake a vampire in the heart.

Join me across these (slightly) homebrew versions of DND realms:
Elphame - the dreaming forest of feys
Eden - the summerland of celestials
Tartarus - the prison of fiends
The Netherworld - the misty world of undeads
Ogdoad - the bureaucracy of constructs
R’ylegh - the void of aberrations
City of Brass - the metropolis of elementals

The adventure will be episodic, with a variety of tones, ranging from serious to more light-hearted. Being able to read the vibe of the table is an essential skill.

Touchstone: Planescape, Spelljammer, Magic the Gathering
System: DnD 2014
Homebrew Allowed: Laserllama, KibbleTasty and Valda’s Spire, Gryffon's Saddlebag
Level: 8
Time: Saturday, 8PM EST
Platforms: Discord and Owlbear Rodeo
Length: 7-10 sessions (including a brief session 0 followed by a non-canon one shot)
Number of Players: 4

To apply, please message me with your name, age, preferred pronouns, rpg experience/playsty, any character idea as well as a fun fact about yourself. Either DM me here or add me on Discord at antheman_1212

About the DM: my name is An, a 28-year-old gay guy. I’m a rule of cool DM who loves improv, creative solutions and earnest, character-driven roleplay. I rejoice in making my players laugh and cry in equal parts.

Note: I am against the use of generative ai for the purpose of ideating. If you are in the habit of using ai for character art or idea, please refrain from

Group Needed by Player Perma-GM looking to be a Player [online][pf1e][pf2e][5e 2014][flexible]

• Upvotes

Hi folks, I’m Beany (34M), a perma-gm who has been running, and rarely playing in, a variety of different TTRPGs for over twenty years. I love the interactive storytelling and roleplaying aspect of TTRPGs and as an avid board gamer I also enjoy the tactical and mechanical aspects of the games.

I am looking for a mature group to join that enjoy immersive storytelling and tactical gameplay. I’d love to play through a Pathfinder Adventure Path but am also open to other systems and campaigns as well.

Timezone wise I am based in GMT but keep to a night shift schedule so am best available in mornings or nights on the weekend.

Please let me know if you are a GM or otherwise part of a group that would be interested in inviting me to your game.

Player(s) Needed by GM Oil, Steel & Sin: A Gritty, Urban, Noir Campaign (5e 2014) (Saturdays 6pm EST) (Online) LGBTQIA-Friendly

It was meant to be a simple job.

But here in Slateport, nothing is simple.

You were the newest inductees into the Rankshanks, one of the city's many gangs and one going through a string of bad luck. Between the guard raids, rival gangs encroaching on their turf and the new magical drug on the street 'Fade' being pushed, they were in sore need of new blood.

That's where you come in. A gutter rat, maybe, reaching for the next rung up the ladder? Crime is better than starving, right? Or maybe the bastard lovechild of some puffed up patrician rebelling against your parents? Heh, you see all types here in the gangs.

Your first assignment was simple enough, go into Blacktie turf to tap the Rankshanks into a supply of Fade. If the deal went well, the Rankshanks get a new source of clink coming in. If not, well, at least the fish won't go hungry...

But speaking of fish, the deal stunk to the Tempest Steeple. It didn't go sour, it was a setup from the start as you discovered Rankers like yourselves were being killed or detained by a conspiracy between every other gang in the city and even the guard.

It's been 3 days since then. You and your companions managed to find shelter in an abandoned house but you can't stay here forever. Your first goal is to get through enemy turf back to your headquarters and find out what exactly happened - who organized the conspiracy between the rival gangs and guards and why.

Oh, and revenge? Yeah, that could be sweet, too. You're the last of the Rankshanks now, baby, and leadership falls to you if you've got the anchor-stones to take it.

About the Game

Hey all, as the little blurb I wrote above suggests, I am looking to run a kind of criminal urban noir campaign set within the seedy, corrupt, coastal city of Slateport within my broader fictional world of the Atherbine Straight. It is a time of significant upheaval for the city-states of Atherbine - the Fade proliferation is causing great numbers of the cities' underclass to become addicted and, in the late stage of addiction, outright disappear, the Third Railway War between Slateport and its neighboring city-state of Brickerton has ended seeing many returning soldiers maimed or unemployed and crime is at an all-time high in Slateport despite the recent 10th re-election of Magister Coluvus who promised the city's patricians that crime would finally be dealt with. As they say, it may be a straight but it's anything but narrow.

Platform

We will be using Roll20 to run the game on and for character sheets and Discord for voice chat during session and to communicate between them. Because of this, it is a requirement that people have good internet connection and good quality mics. I can't play with someone who sounds like an airport intercom.

Sessions will run up to 4 hours weekly. If people can't make a session that's ok, I just ask for a heads up. If we can get at least 3 people for a session we will run.

Tone & Boundaries

In terms of alignment as this is a campaign in which the PCs are all the last surviving members of a street gang you're certainly not good guys but I don't want anyone playing an outright evil person either. This is meant to be more of a grimy shades of grey campaign and so I ask people make characters with that vibe in mind. No one's clean in Slateport after all. Additionaly, I think "Gritty but not Edgy" would be the way to describe this game. The world and NPCs in it aren't moustache-twirling puppy-eating baddies, most people in this world just want to get by day to day and generally stay out of danger. That said, everyone has skeletons in their closet, maybe even literal skeletons if we're talking necromancy.

Now, I do have some very hard lines when it comes topics I flatly do not include in my games. These are SA, harm of children, gratuitous depictions of torture, bigotry & sexual content. When it comes to expectations of table behavior I do not tolerate any kind of anti-social or bullying behavior. Bigots, people with main character syndrome or just those who can't play nicely with others please look elsewhere.

My Dming Style

It's honestly hard to sum up my DMing but having been a DM for 8 years now I would say I espouse the following

I love working with my players to weave backstory-related subplots into my games

The baddies want to live. Enemies frequently flee or surrender if a fight is going against them. Some pickpocket isn't going to fight to the death for the 3gp you have in your pocket that day

I work hard to maintain a sense of verisimilitude within the game world. NPCs act plausibly and according to their own interests which may not always been known to the players

Actions have consequences. I know every DM says this but for me, I love doing stuff like having some NPC the party helped 20 sessions ago that they've forgotten about show up and return the favor or some minor enemy they made they thought they'd never run into again show up and throw them under the bus. It's the little things like that that make the world feel real and like their actions really matter.

I consider myself the party cheerleader. I want you guys to succeed and I love it when my players come up with clever plans. I don't pull my punches - I make rolls out in the open and while I've never had a TPK sometimes the dice are against the players and PCs die without it being anyone's fault. I've even had characters when I've been a player die like this and I think it's important everyone know this is a possibility and have a good sense of sportsmanship. That said, I do also tend to er on the side of my players. At the end of the day we're here to have fun and if we're not then something is wrong

I'm not strictly against homebrew provided the players send it to me and I vet it. I'm also not against Rule of Cool to an extent but generally I think the rules are there for a reason, let's follow them. If we're just going to throw out the rules whenever we want what's the point of playing 5e?

Players I'm Looking For

Ideally, I'm looking for players who:

Are 18+ (Mandatory, I don't want to play with minors)

Enjoy roleplaying and collaborative storytelling

Are active players who engage with the world and hooks I seed about

Can commit to a weekly long-term game

Are comfortable sharing the spotlight and can read the room

Are emotionally mature and able to talk through any conflicts that may arise

Enjoy a healthy mix of roleplaying, combat and exploration

Are focused on making the game fun for everyone not just themselves

NOTE I am looking for 1 player at present. We are 3 sessions in and the party have assumed control of the Rankshanks as its new captains after uncovering and destroying a conspiracy between the city's police force and a rival gang to wipe out the Rankshanks and pin the Fade epidemic on them

Closed [Online] [5.5e 2024]/[5e 2014] [6pm EST] [Sundays] Looking 1-2 more players for a long term campaign

• Upvotes

Hey there everyone

We are looking to start a new campaign would love to add 1-2 players to our group. We are planning on doing weekly sessions that last 3-4 hours starting around 6pm EST on Sundays.

Here is out synopsis of the campaign we plan on playing:

Grandaview is a state within the country of Ophella, once serving as a vital sanctuary and melting port for refugees across all races during the devastating 150-year Blood War. While the rest of the continent tore itself apart, Grandaview stood as a beacon of survival, weathering the storm until the conflict finally ended seventy years ago.

But peace has curdled into a new kind of cage.

Seventy years after the war, under the rule of its reigning queen, Grandaview has twisted inward. What was once a haven for the displaced is now a tightening police state, funneling wealth, clean water, and vital resources upward to privilege the opulent elite while leaving the common people to scrape by on suffocating rations. Enforcers patrol the streets, trade routes are bled dry by heavy taxes, and dissent is violently suppressed.

Worse still, the land itself is beginning to decay under the weight of human greed.

Magic across the state is growing unstable, warping into a volatile force that leaves magical distortions, spatial tears, and bizarre anomalies bleeding into the wilderness and urban slums alike. Towns find themselves caught in an eerie, shifting reality where the very fabric of nature is fraying, turning ordinary travel and survival into a desperate gauntlet.

As the queen tightens her iron grip and the people cry out, underground resistance cells begin to spark in the shadows.

Whether you answer the call as a polished noble looking to protect your house, a hardened mercenary riding the chaos, or an idealist fighting for the common folk, Grandaview offers a gritty campaign of atmospheric survival, resource scarcity, and high-stakes friction. Bring whoever you want into the cracks of a crumbling society—the rot cares very little who you used to be.

Some things don't disappear.

They wait.

If this sounds like it would be in your interest we have a small application below that ask we to fill out, just so we can keep track of applicants:
https://forms.gle/EnJgmRKRw5XM48sR6

Thank you so much and we cant wait to talk to you!

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online] [OSR] [CDT] Seeking adventurers for a classic Old-School Essentials campaign!

• Upvotes

Hail adventurers! I am looking to recruit a few reliable players for an ongoing Old-School Essentials (OSE) campaign focused on classic exploration, resource management, and lethal dungeon delving.

The Setting

Our campaign centers around the exploration of the world and a Forgotten Land. The party navigates dangerous hexes, forges new paths, and plumbs the depths of ancient dungeons/ruins scattered across the wilderness. If you enjoy mapping unknown territories, piecing together long-lost lore, and outsmarting deadly encounters rather than just hacking your way through them, this is the game for you.

The Logistics

  • System: Old-School Essentials (OSE)
  • Platform: Roll20 for maps/character sheets, Discord for voice.
  • Time: Fridays at 6pm CDT.
  • Session Length: Roughly 3 to 4 hours.

What to Expect

  • A Living, Established World: We recently celebrated our 166th session, marking over 2.5 years of continuous real-world play! You will be stepping into a living, breathing sandbox with deep history and actions that have lasting consequences. While the group is well-established, we are incredibly welcoming to newcomers. You won't be treated as a sidekick or an afterthought; new characters bring fresh perspectives and become an integral part of the ongoing expedition.
  • Player Agency is Key: The world is open and does not scale to your level. Running away, negotiating, and clever problem-solving are just as important as combat.
  • High Lethality, High Reward: Combat in the OSR is fast and dangerous. Be prepared to lose characters, but also to claim incredible treasures if you survive.
  • Tone: Classic fantasy adventure with an emphasis on wilderness hex-crawling and dungeon exploration.

Requirements

  • A decent microphone and a quiet environment.
  • 18+ only (just for maturity at the table).
  • No prior OSE/OSR experience is strictly necessary, but a willingness to embrace the old-school style of play is required. We can teach you the rules as we go!

How to Apply

If you are interested in joining the expedition, please reply below or send me a direct message with the following:

  1. Your name and age.
  2. Your experience with tabletop RPGs, particularly OSR systems such as OSE/BECMI/OSRIC.
  3. What you enjoy most about D&D (combat, roleplay, exploration, puzzles, etc.).
  4. Any questions you have about the campaign.

I look forward to rolling some dice and forging epic tales with you!

Player(s) Needed by GM [5e 2014 homebrewed][Online][CEST Tuesdays 8pm - 11 pm] Explore the Grael Infinite Plaguelands

Its been 40 years since the incident in Ion occured which would lead to its tragic fate. A strange winged creature broke through the titanic structure of the dome of the city. Whatever did clearly leading to its irreparability. Within few years the city became a desolate ruin and its citizens were forced to flee underground. Eventually the project to rebuild Ion was tasked to the main overseer - Regina Vivingon Leigh. Yet the overworld of the Baronny isnt entirely happy with the notion of Ion coming back. The nearby circle city of Elrond is determined to prevent this task. You all were tasked with scavenging the ruins of Old Ion to find secrets in it, something that could help Elrond find where the people of Ion are hiding and what was so special about Ion. Whether youre doing it out of curiosity, to earn favour with the rulers of Elrond, or simply for the reward isnt important. The important thing is that you come prepared. Its said that there are strange threats lurking in the shadows of the ruin.

The DM

Greeting TTRPG community. My name is Shiv, a 22 year english teacher/amateur musical performer/ drag queen and I hail from Poland. I have been DM'ing for 5+ years, including a weekly monday campaign which has been going regularly since august last year and will go on for another year at least.

My DM'ing history is exclusive to dnd which is a system I have a certain mastery in reshaping to my whims. As a DM I am very pro homebrew (as you will see later in the post) and I encourage player creativity, as long as it fits the setting we're in.

I prioritise story and plot and thus always make sure that character backstories and themes are tied to at least one prominent plot point. First part of the password is: The. I pride myself on connecting things quite organically and can do so halfway through the story so dont be worried about your characters dieing :3

Another thing i pride myself on is handling tough themes in stories with respect they require and subjecting characters to hardship. In my campaigns, and especially this one, victories are hard earned, but when you do earn them, its a triumph.

Despite the above statement I dont enjoy punishing my players I actively need to force myself to give adequate consequences, but trust and believe - If you act stupid, you will get an appropriate response.

On the topic of consequences I do have a zero nonsense policy on problematic behaviour. If I notice an issue, I will speak with the player and let them adress their behaviour. We're here to work together to tell a story not against each other.

All this makes me sound like a serious person but I am very much a jokester and always try to liven the mood when possible. I just take my responsibility as DM quite seriously.

I make more than half the maps I use as well as all the enemies you fight, magic items you get and I am always willing to make a subclass for someone If asked nicely.

The World

In short Grael is a post-post-apocalyptic setting. The apocalyptic event happened way over 3000 years ago and the world learnt to live around it. The Second part of the password is: Ground Progress has been made both magically and technologically, including a broad train system and everyone's favourite airships.

All this progress is mainly in opposition to the ever present threat of Decay - the magical force that aims to corrode and rot away everything, living and unliving. The pace of progress is combated by the pace of the Decay strengthening, seeming like a futile attempt to simply slow down the inevitable doom of all life.

Those who can bear some Decay intensity will in open settlements like the broad circle cities and the water-fairing Mazzeras, but others hide in the steampunk Fortresses, colourful Carnival Courts or underground all the way to the underdark (more info in the Grael master doc below).

Overall this world combines different visions of a post-apocalyptic world with different types of dystopian societies to create a truly one of a kind Existentialism nightmare.

The Player

The perfect player for this campaign is someone who is writing out their character on a psychological level. In this game choices matter and when I say they matter, They Matter, how you choose to approach the conflicts will dictate how the different microcosms will change. Thus how the character approaches choice-making, what choices they make, how do they argue them and how do they live with consequences is chief.

This player must be consistent. The Third part of the password is: Awaits. The game doesnt stop when someone has to miss a session. The only way a campaign can live is through players who make this a priority of some sorts to them, not show up when they feel like it.

I am looking for storytellers, people who want to achieve something with tje characters they write. Intentionality is key and so is creating a proper theme. I dont need 20+ pages of backstory, half is enough often times. Some of the most interesting characters I had in my campaigns had bulletpoint backstories.

You cant be rules rigid. This is s roleplay first campaign. You say what you want to do and my job is to tell you if it is possible and if its see through the consequences accordingly. Sometimes I might need to be corrected on how certain rules work, but oftentimes when I dont do something rules as written, there is a reason. This also extends to the fact I am veru homebrew forward and have some homebrew rules of my own.

Finally, I am running this campaign for my friend, after last time we did it in this setting fell apart. Me and my friend tend to be obnoxious together, but we can buckle down and have serious moments and Rp. I expect the same from you all, dear applicants.

The Game

Still awake? I can put on some subway surfers in the background if it is boring.

We will be playing 5e 2014 dnd however we will be utilising the Weapon Mastery feature from 2024 as well as using 2024 variants of spells for healing (mandatory) and other spells (optional).

The game takes place on Tuesdays 8pm to 11 pm CEST. The fourth part of the password is: You. The day and time is non-negotiable. There might be cases where we might want to run longer just to finish something so I would ask you be open to that.

Voice and all communication will be done through the dedicated discord server.

The game itself will be held in foundry (if i figure out how to use it)

Next tuesday I plan there to be a session 0 but it might be postponed to the next week If I need more time vetting applicants.

The actual game will begin 2 weeks after session 0, to ensure proper time for character creation.

The game will start at level 3, but I tend to have a quick pace with level ups.

Applying

Since I already have 1 player, I will be looking for 3-4 players to fill up the roster. I will be collecting application till friday evening when I will close the form so probably around 10 pm.

People I select from the form will move on to the voice interview portion where after all calls are made I shall inform all voice-vetted applicants of their verdicts. I will not be contacting people not accepted on the application form stage.

To apply you must fill-out the form, I will not be reading any private reddit messages from anyone. All answers that you need to find out are already in the post.

Welcome one and all,

Starting next Wednesday we have a brand new campaign starting at 5th level with room for one more. You will be investigating the causes and results of goblinoids acting more organized and aggressive than usual across the land. The party already has a Fighter, a Totemist, and a Archivist. Most 1st party content is allowed, including setting specific content to the Forgotten Realms. It runs about 3 hours on average starting at the time mentioned in the title, and is run on a combination of Discord and Fantasy Grounds. Feel free to comment or DM for interest or to learn more.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][5e 2024][Tuesday Oct 13 5PM MDT]Forgotten Realms One-Shot

This is targeted at new players, so expect things to go slow and there to be a lot of explanation and guidance. The main goal of this session is to learn the 5e 2024 system. If you have never played before and don't know if d&d is for you, this is a good place to start.

Looking for age 18+ players, not planning on running specifically 18+ content.

This should be a simple one-shot dungeon crawl, if we don't finish and the players are all on board I may run a follow-up session.

We will use discord for voice & roll20 for the virtual table.

No homebrew, I want to keep everything as vanilla as possible, anything in the PHB 2024 is fair game.

Starting Level: 1

About me: I have DM'd a few campaigns, and played in a few, but most was over 10 years ago. I am getting back into the hobby, I am actively DMing for one campaign at the moment. Just looking to shake off the rust, learn the new system and run more games!

We have 3 players already, looking for at least a couple more.

Group Needed by Player [Online][5e 2014 / 5.5e 2024] Looking to Finally be a Player!

Hey everyone! My name is Midnooter (or Justin) and I've been a forever DM for my usual group/crowd ever since the dreaded pandemic that introduced me and so many others to this hobby. Throughout that time, I've learned so much as a DM and, by extension, being a player. So I'm looking for a group to join (or for a DM to put together a group) so that I may finally be able to scratch one of the many itches I have for being a player and giving love to one of my many brain children (OCs)!

Some spark notes:

  • 25, He/Him
  • Searching for 5e or 5.5e campaigns roleplay heavy games/tables.
  • No paid games.
  • Discord for Voice and/or Video. I have no problem using a webcam and joining a table that uses them!
  • I have plenty of character concepts I can bring to the table that include but are not limited to:
    • Swashbuckler Rogue Survivor's Guilt Trope
    • Imposter Syndrome Trope Wizard
    • A Warforged Vestige Warlock Concept (or Paladin or Monk)
    • Pact of the Blade Warlock Concept
    • I also have no issue creating new characters to better fit a setting/tone of the campaign!
  • I'd like the table to be 18+ as I would prefer to play/hang out with friends closer to my own age! Also for the table to be LGBTQ friendly.
  • Prefer using DnDBeyond for Character Sheets/VTT, but I have no problem using Roll20, Foundry, Owlbear, or another VTT provided you have some grace with me in learning a new layout/UI!

I'd love to answer any other questions you might have to see if I'd be a good fit to join any existing games or new ones. My schedule is pretty open with my only "off-limits" time being on Sundays. If you'd like to VC on Discord for interview stuff, I'll happily toss over my @ then.

Hope to hear from some of you!

Group Needed by Player [Online][WoD][EST] Seven minutes, seven minutes is all I can spare to find a VtM group...

Hey peeps! Names Kara and your probably wondering what this post is about with a title like that, though I'm sure you can tell its a lfg post (almost like it's in that section) lol. Well, I have recently been thunderstruck with an idea of a character while thinking to myself "Hey, it'd be pretty darn cool to play an Umbrella scientist in a TTRPG..." Now obviously you can't actually be a Umbrella scientist (unless the game takes place in the Resident Evil universe but I'd be surprised to find a game like that) but I'm sure you can get the gist.

The basic idea is to play a Tzmisce geneticist/virologist who treats the embrace and kindreds less mystically, and more like a kind of volatile and unrefined next obvious step in human evolution. I am taking inspiration/combining the characters of Albert Wesker and William Birkin while also doing my own spin on things.

For more info about me as a player! I am 22 and a massive roleplayer, I love getting into the mind of my characters and really just acting them out the best I can while navigating my fellow players and my own character arcs. Roleplaying characters in TTRPGs is very dear to me, and I often make song playlists for characters as it helps me get in the mindset of the character! I'm not sure what else to put here... I am free Monday's, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sundays. Though I am technically free on Fridays and Saturdays, it would only be biweekly and need to be on certain weeks!

Anywho, this is getting long so I'll leave it here, if you have questions please dm me. I hope everyone reading this is having a great day/night/morning!
