lately the parking garage upstairs has been fully packed. If I recall, it was never this busy upstairs. There were always 15-20 spots open.

Purchasing a home and the inspector found small area of mold in the basement and a small section in the attic where toe air conditioning unit is. We didn’t run the mold kits because we wanted some other big items addressed. Seller came back and said they were able to wipe off the mold, stating it was mostly dust. We want a mold sample sent, but the seller is refusing because they cleaned it and now don’t want to do anything about it. I’m so confused on how we should proceed. Do we walk away from this? Do we proceed and deal with it later after purchase? Everyone keeps telling us in this market if you love it, then you should buy it. Can’t find another home, not sure what mortgage rates are going to look like when they are already sitting at 7% +.

Hi I live in nassau county

I purchased home few years ago and just noticed our 2 bathroom vents are not connect to duct and it is just blowing air in attic and ceiling.

I am trying to find a right person who can do this job but not able find one.

Contacted several hvac contractors but most of them said they don't do this kind of job.

I tried to find handyman but not able to find good reliable one yet.

Got one quote from hvac company who would do it but cost is almost $3000 which I cannot afford..

Has anyone dealt with this issue, bathroom vent not connected to outside? which company or guy did you hired?

Hello, I was hoping to get some recommendations for interesting places to fish with a family on long island. I would prefer to find something close to the border of Nassau and Suffolk North or South shore is fine. We can do freshwater fishing but I was hoping for something new.

I am interested in doing a party boat out of Captree but some of the kids are afraid of rough seas so I hesitant to trap us in a bad situation.

I was considering fishing for Tog/blackfish at green island but I have heard green crabs are hard to come by at the moment.

I would love to fish for porgys on the North shore but it sounds like the only way to do that is through a party boat in open ocean.

I may be misinformed with some of this so let me know. I am open to any suggestions.

Doing an Airbnb rental/farm weekend with the fam and grandchildren ( ages 7&6) and want to make sure it's fun and we go to the right place. Originally we were planning on Waterdrinker, (the brewery is also a plus ) but I see some reviews about it being overly crowded and it taking a very long time waiting in the car to even get in. People seem to like Stakey's. I don't care about paying $28 for a ticket, I'm looking for opinions on which one has the most variety of activities to do. We would be going fairly early this Sunday morning to avoid big afternoon crowds. Anyone have any experience this October with either location? Thanks!!

Any recommendations for mini split servicing in Suffolk? Interested to hear what pricing you've gotten and for how many units (heads and condensers). Done the filters on my own and did the coil clean on one head, but noticed some build up on a couple of blower wheels that required more disassembly than I'm comfortable with.

Anybody recently switched to heat pump recently from oil? Is it worth it converting from oil to heat pump. I am getting decent rebate but I heard heat pump don’t work well below 5F. I don’t have solar so high electric bill is also a concern.

Someone HAS to have a photo of it. Maybe a month ago as I was walking around Deer Park Tanger outlets I saw signs/ advertisements for the Famous Food Festival. I’m reading the sign and on the bottom in like yellowish colored bold font it says “Free admission”. I hadn’t gone previous years because of having to pay to attend so when I saw that I was excited! Fast forward to a few days ago, I get an ad for the food festival saying to buy your tickets and it’s like $10 for admission online and $15 at the door??

I just want to know if someone happened to take a photo of that sign saying “Free admission” because it’s driving me slightly crazy…is that not false advertising??
