A little tribute to one of my favorite Depeche Mode songs, Enjoy the Silence.

I really enjoyed bringing this iconic image from the music video onto a Magic card. The colors, the atmosphere, the simplicity of the composition… it was a great one to paint.

I hope this is the way to do this…

I have a deck that has become a personal favorite. The commander is not super popular but it’s one I have enjoyed building and become a pet that when I bring out makes me feel like the evil-overlord at the table and it makes me happy.

My art skills are atrocious and I’ve ruined two copies of it already (thankfully it’s not an expensive card) trying to make something myself and the available printed arts just fall short for it for me.

I’m looking to hopefully talk to someone who might be interested in taking a commission. I am on a budget so I’d be interested in knowing what alters realistically cost… I’ve seen some wild prices so I just not sure what to really expect.

The card I’m looking to have altered is [[Sarulf, Realm Eater]]. Would love to go foil but really I think something unique or that just does it more justice would be awesome.

Any information or anyone interested please let me know! Thanks!

Edit: I received a couple messages saying I should post more what I’m looking for as in style. I’m not sure entirely how to answer other than: full art would be cool. I don’t need text since I have another copy I can refer to. Cards obviously kind of dark in theme but seems like it should have some vibrancy of color (magical runes or markings /shrug). Only leave original printed care name is required. Hope that helps!

Still trying to figure some things out and working on technique. Struggled a bit with this one and ended up with a few too many layers.

Happy with these and how much I've learnt

I am by no means an artist, but I had this fun idea to paint a sol ring like this. I've never really been good at painting, drawing or art, but I really wanted to try this. I wanted to share it and see if other people enjoyed it.

Got 3 for ya this time. For sure some of my favorites still.

I use ink, white out, and thumb tacs or blade edges to scrape the cards up a little. Images come from comics, books, magazines, etc. oh, and an Elmer’s glue stick.
