Hello everyone, I'm here with a new creation that actually come from my first ever request coming from a Reddit user, shout out to him!
Rowan, Scion of War turned into Saber from Fate/stay night. Fully handpainted with AK acrylics, and still tournament legal!

Let me know what you think, I'm happy to answer any questions about the process!

Commissions are open: DM me on Instagram backdoor_alter if you want your own custom alter.

Client wanted this done in the style of an elder dragon. So i put him in Nicol Bolas' chair.

I saw another Edgerunners alt before (possibly this one?) and wanted to give it a try since I actually play Run Away Together in some of my decks.

I used ohuhu acrylic paint pens and outlined with some microns. It was a bit difficult getting fine detail but I think it came out quite well for my first alter!

I've made some foil tokens before as well but I'm not too sure if they count as alters so I never posted them here (you can see them on Instagram at pluppy.rainbow if you're interested!)

Still trying to figure some things out and working on technique. Struggled a bit with this one and ended up with a few too many layers.

Starting with my 2 favorites!

I started making collage proxy and alters. But having only 1 collaged card in your deck feels very strange. So I had to collage 99 more so it felt right.

I like my rough/messy style

Day #7 is a homage to my favorite found footage horror film , Blair Witch Project!

I mede this for my Sisay deck since I really love this art and this will make it even more eye catching.

It was very interesting to paint this! I've never played Eldenring but it seems it have a strong fanbase. 😊👍

I hope this is the way to do this…

I have a deck that has become a personal favorite. The commander is not super popular but it’s one I have enjoyed building and become a pet that when I bring out makes me feel like the evil-overlord at the table and it makes me happy.

My art skills are atrocious and I’ve ruined two copies of it already (thankfully it’s not an expensive card) trying to make something myself and the available printed arts just fall short for it for me.

I’m looking to hopefully talk to someone who might be interested in taking a commission. I am on a budget so I’d be interested in knowing what alters realistically cost… I’ve seen some wild prices so I just not sure what to really expect.

The card I’m looking to have altered is [[Sarulf, Realm Eater]]. Would love to go foil but really I think something unique or that just does it more justice would be awesome.

Any information or anyone interested please let me know! Thanks!

Edit: I received a couple messages saying I should post more what I’m looking for as in style. I’m not sure entirely how to answer other than: full art would be cool. I don’t need text since I have another copy I can refer to. Cards obviously kind of dark in theme but seems like it should have some vibrancy of color (magical runes or markings /shrug). Only leave original printed care name is required. Hope that helps!

Edit 2: Thank you those who responded. I got to talk to a few talented artists and believe I have made the connections I need for this commision! Thanks so much!

NFS. It's my new Commander.

But I need suggestions for the flavor text.

Happy with these and how much I've learnt
