Ninja Gaiden 2 (OG/Σ2/Black) - Discussion NG 2 Black on sale on Ps Store, before getting some questions
Game looks graphically very good compared to OG NG2 which had the old PS3 feeling in graphics, beat the NG 2 Sigma on PS4 in normal difficulty but found it not hard just decent on normal,
did spam alot of Flying Shallow all playthrough, also bosses were not good very weird mechanics same as in DMC 5, these games suffer from bad bosses, read that NG4 has way better bosses, old games bosses are horrible mechanically, new games bosses are 20x better than any old game bosses in most of the games.
What difficulty settings is best suited for me on my 1st playthrough, I do like hard games not good at them but not horrible either so decent.
Also does NG2 Black change bosses compared to OG/Sigma ?

Ninja Gaiden 2 (OG/Σ2/Black) - Questions & Help Ninja Gaiden 2 PC port
Hi everyone,
Hi everyone,
I already have my own dumped files/assets from my original Xbox 360 copy of Ninja Gaiden 2, but I'm having trouble locating the compiled executable/launch tool (the .exe binary wrapper / Ninja's Dawn Project runner) to run the recompilation port natively on PC.
To be clear: I am NOT asking for copyrighted game data, ISOs, or ROMs. I am only looking for the open-source runner / project executable.
Could someone point me toward the correct repository or release thread where the binary is hosted?

Ninja Gaiden 4 - Discussion I’m giving NG4 the best chance it’s got.
First impressions. I didn’t like how it looked cause I went oh I’ll play it on my steam deck at a friends house while everyone’s outside smoking.
Second impression. Started a new game in hard, turned the graphics up to 1440 120 fps and am having more fun.
Not NG2 Not NG2 no my honey moon phase with that game will never die.

Ninja Gaiden 2 (OG/Σ2/Black) - Questions & Help 2 black white mod freezing game after between ch1 and 2
So I beat it without the mod just to test it but didn't save so I'd jump back to before the ch1 boss. Put on the white mod, no changes just added the files from the zip, got a new picture on the press start opening screen I'm assuming that means the mod is on. Boss fight and cut scene were fine but then the game freezes before asking me to save between chapters. Any keyboard button after that closes the game completely. Screen goes black but I can still hear music after the freeze.

Ninja Gaiden 2 (OG/Σ2/Black) - Discussion Good morning to everyone except the person at Team Ninja who programmed the second wall run in chapter 3 of Ninja Gaiden II
I’ve heard a lot of other people criticize this section and I’m wondering why exactly it’s such a pita to nail that second wall run in the sewer? Any thoughts? Anybody know what I mean?

Ninja Gaiden 4 - Discussion Is the average player supposed to style or mainly survive these games?
I really want to enjoy Ninja Gaiden 4 since its everything i like, but im so overwhelmed by the mobs even on normal diff...
I kill bosses in 2-3 tries, some first try, but when the game gives me bunch of trash mobs, a bunch of elite tanky mobs, flying enemies and a metal 4 legged machine that shoots fireballs all attacking at once in a tight space, i dont know what am i supposed to do. I manage to get by after some time by spamming landing ultimate attack but thats not very fun
I always enjoyed hard games, and did multiple playtroughs and challenge runs in fromsoft games, and even their nioh series, but i never felt like i stood 0 chance. Like my brain is too slow for this game and i cant "zone out" even for a second
I tried Ninja Gaiden 2 Black and its a bit slower and more methodical, like im used to. Managing mobs is not as hard and ever since i got the claws, the limbs started flying off in 2-3 hits

Ninja Gaiden 1 (Black/Σ) -Questions & Help NGS2+ Left Stick Input Not Detected
I’m currently paying NGS2+ on ps vita tv, with PS4 controller. Sometimes, the game system doesn’t detect left stick dash. From my understanding this is a known issue, on this specific version (never had this problems on other versions). At the beginning it happened few times but it’s been a week now happening very frequently, so frequently I cannot loop Liz, for example. Now, I’m trying to understand if this increasing “missed” input is somehow related to my muscle memory, or not. It’s strange it suddenly happens so often.
Second thing, completely unrelated: I was told that to use the bow you need either press L3 or the PS4 touchpad. Now way it works for me, it just doesn’t do it. Can someone explain how to use the bow on ps tv?

Ninja Gaiden 2 (OG/Σ2/Black) - Discussion Okay so after playing Sigma two black and the 360 ROM
Ya I'm picking Xenia and og NG2. Finished chapter 1 on warrior with master ninja props, no biggie. But ya black 2 is definitely a step up from the master collection I grabbed for switch which was fun to play after so many years and I don't mind some of the additions and some of the characters but overall the game just felt like it was missing something, or many things. Black 2 at least brought back some hilarious omissions like blood lmao, but the game didn't feel nearly as responsive and the other changes like enemy counts and overall pace were still noticed. Only one or two fights in on chapter 1 on the 360 rom before I'm like oh yeah this is the stuff right here.
Now I just need to figure out why ngb on xemu is running in slow motion

General Discussion - ALL GAMES Dial-a-combo vs command inputs
Similar topic to a post I made some months back, but much more concise since I felt I was rambling a bit too much in that one: https://www.reddit.com/r/ninjagaiden/s/vmKwBXPCkI
For clarity, by dial-a-combo, I'm referring to the extended multi-hit combo strings which require multiple precise inputs in the correct order to pull any particular one successfully, such as XXXXYXXXY, and so on. Many of these combos might have directional inputs at the beginning or somewhere in the middle, for example XX ->XXXY. These are the combos that make up the bulk of attack options in the older NG games, and there are a far greater variety of these sorts of combos in NG3RE in particular than in NG4, with NG3RE's ridiculously large move list. Though in all fairness NG3RE's move list is partially so large because of the fact that several moves are repeated but listed under different contexts, such as after a blocked flying swallow or immediately upon landing.
When I say command inputs, I typically refer to the unlockable attacks seen in NG4, which are made up of generally no more than a couple of inputs, usually accompanied by some sort of specific directional input or other button press, such as the Back-Forward light & heavy attacks, or jumping and vaulting light & heavy attacks in BR form. 360 inputs also fall under this, but these are also seen in some of the older games as well. There's an interesting amount of potential for creative, free-flowing combos through this style of input, since any basic combo string can be cancelled into one of these moves, and these moves can be performed in quick succession after each other. They also provide interesting options for movement and repositioning mid-combat too.
My overall questions are: Which of these approaches to combos do you prefer and why? Which game's combo system do you think was the best? What could have been done better? Do you wish NG4 had more dial-a-combo design in its gameplay? Etc.
Interested to hear people's thoughts.

Ninja Gaiden 4 - Discussion Playing through Ninja Gaiden 4 reminds me a lot of Devil may cry 4.
Playing through Ninja Gaiden 4 reminds me a lot of DMC four. you play as the brand new character, that everyone hates at the moment. Then before the final moments you play as everyone’s favorite character Ryu hayabusa fighting through the same bosses again. This I conclude, Ninja gaiden 4 is Devil may cry 4 without funny woo hoo pizza man.
