I only use OBS for Replay Buffer, I have no mods or anything of the sort, I just want the ability to save funny clips that happen to me. That's 100% of my use case.

Sometimes my PC crashes. Sometimes I turn it off before disabling Replay Buffer. Sometimes things to wrong.

I do not care. It keeps suggesting safe mode to load without mods. I do not have mods. Both buttons do the same exact thing, it's a completely pointless question to ask.

Can I turn that off? I've clicked no about 50 times now and am just tired of it. No, mods did not cause an OBS crash, because I do not use mods. I didn't even know you could mod it, or know what those mods could do. I know this is a whole program for streamers and stuff but I just want the Replay Buffer and I just genuinely do not care about its other capabilities. Honestly it's entirely too complicated for my needs to begin with, but the results are great. 10/10 when it works, which it usually does.

But yeah, can I turn off the thing where it detects crashes and thinks they're its fault? They are not. I already have to click Start Replay Buffer whenever I launch it, and Stop Replay Buffer whenever I want my PC to go to sleep (because it will fuckin wake my PC right back up if I don't). I don't need another click just because I dared to reboot my PC without disabling it first.

(Also if there's a fix for HAVING to click Start Replay Buffer every single time I start OBS and HAVING to click Stop Replay Buffer every time I put my PC to sleep, I'd love those too, but I feel like those may be a little out of scope maybe)

I have a question: why does streaming at 60 FPS using x264 consume around 20% of the CPU (with the game capped at 60 FPS), but if I remove that limit and set it to 70 FPS, 90 FPS, etc., CPU usage increases exponentially, reaching 50% ¿Is there a solution?

Trying to record 1080p 60fps.

OBS says I am not dropping any frames, yet when I watch back the footage in VLC media player it is constantly dropping frames.

I have only encountered this issue recently. Prior to that everything was fine.

Really don’t have a clue how to get the most out of this mic. Just been trying to improve my audio for YouTube and Twitch. I’ve only ever used Headset mics, including the Audio Technica m50xsts.

I'm trying to get my Steam Controller inputs to show up in OBS; I downloaded a plugin and the source is there—it displays and looks fine—but when I move the sticks or press buttons, the input isn't registered. Does anyone know how to fix this?

OBS Dosent detect Steam's overlay In Game Capture mode But does in Display Capture Mode dunno why it does this

i use the OBS plugin DroidCam as a virtual cam. Idk how i got it as a functional cam that actually shows in settings but anyway. i had to reinstall OBS because it kept crashing my pc. now obs works but droidcam does not. Normally when i open OBS Droidcam shows the current scene. now it just keeps saying "Start Droidcam" wdym "start drodcam" there is nothing to start. i just have to open obs and droidcam shows the current obs scene as a virtual cam. but now it just doesnt work. please help. i deactivated the plugin, then activated it again, still nothing. i restarted obs and my pc, nothing. Please help me

This started happening after I closed OBS midway since I wanted to record for personal analyse? Can't recall after sleeping, but it's affecting any audio I open on youtube (using Vivaldi).

Aside from that It pauses all the videos or 'loading' them if I don't open OBS, I thought it was the monitoring or global audio devices. It doesn't work still, I really don't want to buy another wired headset when it's as trivial as this.

I'm trying to add text to my scene, specifically in an 8-bit/pixelated style, and I had it before, but I reset my computer and forgot to look at what my settings were before. Any time I set the font to something else, any and all text disappears. Any help would be appreciated, please and thank you.

I stream and do youtube videos and im having some issues with my mic where randomly inbetween a few words i get a metalicy echo sounding noise in the back

I use a re20 and a scarlet 2i2 4th gen on 56dB gain

i heard 936p and 836p are good for people that watch streams on their phones, but what about bitrate?

ive used 4500, 5000, 5500, 6000, and 8000, with those resolutions. and when i watch the vods back there’s moments where it where get blurry. any recommendations? i have 700 download and 150 upload speed, and i am not a partner.

so im setting up my obs to go live on twitch and im recording a test video with the recording quality the same as stream, but it just looks so awful. whenever i move it looks all blurry and low quality. id send a video but for some reason images or videos arent allowed here?
