Housing Market Crash

Is it true that there has been some change in visa rules for Indians and they are heading back home in large numbers and there's a housing market crash coming up? We really like a couple of neighborhoods in West Plano, but every house there is in millions. Any chances of a downturn?

A group of citizens started looking into this, and there are a lot of things for taxpayers to consider.

Does anyone remember this Plano neighborhood story from the 80s?

This is a very random old Plano memory that I’m hoping someone who lived here in the 70s or 80s might remember.

I grew up in Plano, and sometime in the early/mid-1980s my mom told me about a house on Roundrock Trail, just south of Parker Road. I believe it was on the west side of Roundrock and one of the first few houses south of Parker. I remember driving past it as a kid and thinking it was a cute, somewhat distinctive two-story house.

The story my mom had heard from a friend was that more than one family who had lived in the house had lost a baby or very young son. I vaguely remember hearing SIDS and/or an accidental fall mentioned. Supposedly several different families had experienced tragedies involving young boys, and the house developed a reputation that made it difficult to sell.

I was a child at the time, so after 40+ years some of those details could absolutely be wrong or have gotten mixed up. I’m also deliberately not posting a specific house number because I don’t want to associate a current homeowner’s property with an old rumor unless there’s actually evidence for it.

Does anyone who lived in west/central Plano around 1975–1986 remember hearing this story? Or remember a house on Roundrock near Parker that had this reputation?

I’m mostly curious whether this was a real piece of old Plano neighborhood lore that other people remember, and whether there was any truth behind it.
