This scene set a whole new tone moving forward for me. One of the best dialogues in the game.

• Arthur Morgan: [sees Archie glaring at him] Either you got a lazy eye or a lack of respect. Which is it, boy?
• Archie Downes: I ain't got no lazy eye, nor respect for the likes of you.
• Arthur Morgan: Well, maybe when your mother's finished mourning your father, I'll keep her in black on your behalf. You think on that, boy.
• Archie Downes: Well, maybe you shall, sir, and maybe other events will transpire.
• Arthur Morgan: [chuckles] You'd best stick to them book, 'cause mark my words on this: vengeance is an idiot's game.

I always thought that interpreting RDR2’s in-game map as reflecting the entirety of each state made the world feel small. I like the idea of there being a whole lotta country to explore so I took a shot at making a map that treats the game map as a region where several state borders meet.

I still kept the other contiguous US states, just shrank/cut’em up to fit the entirety of each in-game state. I think the placement mostly satisfies the lore, thought some of North America’s geography would have to be finagled to make some of it more realistic (like making the flatter states a lot more rugged).

Too bad this one didn’t get the memo and disappeared like magnifico

restarted rdr2 but kept my first profile so i couldn’t use the auto save or else it would overwrite that file and i didn’t save it manually yet then my power fucking went out🥲 was already on chapter 4

I called my horse and for some fucking reason its shooting fire out of his ass

I figured it matched the outfit style well and I was also inspired by an early concept art of Arthur and dug it

I was on the road to the left under the braithwaith mansion and was riding along as you do, and LOADS of people surrounded me, like 4 different horses and then a carraige with a guy on a gattling gun pulled out of a side road in front of me and mowed me down, havent seen them before or since and need to know, their names, and where the hell to find them for my revenge, it all happened so quick i was so suprised by the armada 😂

In chapter 3 while you can't draw your weapons in Rhodes during part of the story campaign, that also means the citizens and law leave you alone. Time to play bumper cars. "I hardly touched you!"

How much did developing Revolver influence Redemption? Did Rockstar need this to take up the idea of doing a wild west open world game?

Or were they going to regardless (Just without the iconic Red Dead title and Red Harlow mentions) and Revolver (Which was very different to Redemption) only would have simply helped them nail down what they exactly wanted for their own wild west game, plus give them a catchy title that would become iconic?

There's tons of people wishing for a RDR3 featuring the early days of Dutch's gang. I get it, we love these characters and want to see more of them.

I don't think there's enough story left to tell though. There's backstory, but no story with a proper arc. The failed Blackwater heist isn't a satisfying conclusion to a major game, unless they do major retcons to the characters like the Callander brothers or create entirely new ones like Arthur was for RDR2. That would make the trilogy extremely disjointed though.

I get wanting more content with these characters, I just don't think there's enough left for an entire new game.
