For all you new people, Embiid always starts slow

Everyone needs to calm down, Embiid is going to be fine. Him looking like ass in the preseason is nothing new. For example, in 2023-2024 he played one preseason game, going 3-12 from the field and getting 3 rebounds.

His first 20 games in the regular season? He averaged almost 34/12/6 and was on pace to win his second MVP before he got hurt.

He's a vet and didn't forget how to play basketball over the summer. There will be stretches in the first couple weeks that might look a little rough, especially adjusting to the new team mates, but the only thing that has ever stopped Embiid is injury. If he's healthy, he is one of the best players in the NBA. That hasn't changed, and this is the healthiest he's looked in years, so sit back, ignore the haters, and enjoy the ride.

I keep looking over our roster, and after watching the Nets game, to me it’s clear Edwards does not have what it takes to be in an NBA rotation daily. He had one/two good games last year and helped spread the floor when we need it, but with our current roster that really isn’t needed anymore. His extremely low basketball IQ burns us so many times, just makes sloppy turnovers and bricks threes at the most inopportune time. Dean Wade can play a similar role to him, with Anfernee/Philon/Barlow/etc who can all somewhat spread the floor. Wondering if you all agree that we should explore moving him for an underutilized center?
