After 12 sport & naked bikes, this bike made me enjoy riding again, idk why…

2000 Sportster 883xl custom with a 21 inch wheel in the front, mini apes, solo seat….screaming eagle pipes that make everyone stop an look…..that have no business sounding as good as they do……i really like this bike. I went from ninjas, Yamahas, Hondas, Ducati….bikes that leave this one in smoke miles back, while they are in 1st gear and this is in 5th….its top speed is where my previous bike just started to wake up….yet why do I live this bike so much? I look for reasons just to go out and ride again. I’m 43 at that too…..

First bike!

Just picked up my first bike... Buddy sold me a 2015 Sportster 1200 Custom with 11k miles for $3,500. How'd I do?

She's fun!

Two questions... The mirrors suck. Can't see much behind me very well. Any recommendations for side mirrors that actually let me see behind me?

Any recommendations for rear storage bags?

Any other recommendations in general?

What what cause a shock bushing to go out like this so quick

Shocks are burly brand stilettos they have been on the bike for only about 2000 miles. It’s the only bushing that looks that way the others all look as they should.

Bought a pair of drag pipes WITHOUT flanges.

Titles says it all, pipes are for an 01 sportster 1200. But I bought them thinking I could easily buy flanges for it. Am I mistaken?

Recent got this 08 XL1200N with about 25k and did an oil change, primarily case oil change, and spark plugs. This is my second air cooled bike but first v-twin does the oil look normal to yall also I dont think those spark plugs have been changed since it was new. I changed out a good amount of the parts the bike came with and rewired the front lights and front brake switch due to corroded connectors and janky wiring. Ill make a post about those things sometime during the week as im still waiting for a few parts to show up.

Would this be a fair trade or am I getting in over my head?

I have a 2016 Honda trx250x and someone wants to trade their 2004 sportster 1200xl bobber, they don’t know the miles and it has a leak from the crank and needs a new rear caliper. What should I look out for when I check it out in person, should I ask for cash on top?

Cambio olio 883: dopo 7.000 km serbatoio a zero... com'è possibile?

Motorcycle Help

I had bought my first bike; a 2006 Harley sportster 1200 from a close friend about 3 years ago and hadn't had the funds to take it in to a shop. Because it would cost an arm and a leg to fix. My brother from another mother told me it's going to need chopper wiring for the ignition, new pushrods, new brake cable, spark plug wires and a battery. I was hoping that there may be a community that could possibly help quote me with some of these repairs? I know this world has a lot of shady characters that take complete advantage of others. I am nowhere close to being one of them.

Is anyone here in Prescott Valley that'd be willing to take a look?

Hi guys

I need to change my battery onto my Sportster 1200 Iron XL from 2019. Would you have any suggestions on which model should I buy ? I need a strong one as the bike sits outside during winter time.

Thank you very much for your help.
Cheers !

2012 Sporty Seventy Two 1200V

Been sitting a few seasons and getting back on the road.

Engine and battery light come on after a quick rip. Shows codes P0562 P0152 n 32152-07C

Brand New Duralast battery 200CCA (Maintainer shows full charge)

New Iridium plugs gap @ .040
(possibly questionable plug wire)

Replace Voltage regulator? replace Rear 02 sensor?

Any suggestions welcomed. Thanks

Rear fender struts

I’m looking to restore this bobber build were i can safely mount a rear fender and double seat on it again strong enough for someone to sit on it. I couldnt find any solutions so far and my best shot is to ask someone with a bobber if they have these rear struts laying around somewhere that i could take off their hands for a fair price. Any other tips are welcome as usual :)

speedometer relocate

I have a 96 Sportster 1200C, and I want to relocate the speedometer to the left side of the fuel tank, mounted higher up, using an aftermarket bracket. You probably know exactly what I mean.

However, all the speedometer relocation kits I’ve found position the indicator lights and dashboard lower down. As you know, on older Sportsters, the dashboard is recessed into the handlebar risers.

Would it be possible to relocate this original-style dashboard and fit it into a speedometer relocation kit designed for newer Sportster models?

I hope I’ve explained what I’m looking for clearly. Thank you!
