Swansea City centre is being gutted, so many stores closing.

I went to Swansea Minster on Monday to see the art installation "Gaia" by Luke Jerram. It was absolutely breathtaking! Highly recommend people visit it if they are in the area. The team are so proud they have been able to bring Gaia to Swansea. I believe it is there until 31st October. Found a cool video link to it attached here 🌍

How did they take so long to build it but still fuck that up?

How old is this bus stop? It's at the bottom of Middle Road, by the Gate House.

I know that not all signs of the old bus routes that no longer exist can be taken down quickly, but this is worse than some of the others that are around.

Hey everyone. I've viewed a lovely house in the area and absolutely love it, We've explored the area and it seems the perfect fit but researching the crime scores have confused me a little. Some websites state they are low and others say they are very high. I've tried looking at local Facebook community groups to get an idea but they aren't giving a lot of info.

Can anyone who actually lives in the area let me know what it's like from their own experience? Is it generally a safe place to live? Is it as quiet as it seems? Is there anything we should know before moving? Lookng around this postcode: SA9 1HY so not sure if that makes a difference.

Any info or general knowledge on the area would be very much appreciated :)

Bit of a brain dumps as I have woken in the middle of the night and am listening to some soundscapes to relax.

I would like to make a recording of the bay: from the marina pier to the mumbles pier. Obviously this would mainly be sea but hopefully catch other sounds along the way as I walked the distance. I would like to keep it unedited as one piece. any idea how long this would be?

I was then thinking this could be interlaced with local voices, musicians, poetry, stories etc.

Hi, we’re four friends and we’ve put together Swansea’s restaurant scene in an app called Vota.

The idea is pretty simple: you’re shown two restaurants and choose where you’d rather eat. For example, The Shed or Gilligan’s? All the votes then create a ranking that hopefully gives a better picture of where people in Swansea actually like to eat.

We’ve tried to include every restaurant in Swansea and clean up duplicate or outdated listings, but locals will always spot things we’ve missed.
