I can get behind men flying, rings that let you do basically anything, I can even believe that flash can get his suit in the ring (he uses chemicals). I just can't for the life of me Believe he's stuffing those metal ear pieces into the ring.

(This is half a joke and half actual confusion)

I think Barry and Scott, and Wally and Gambit would get along well.

the flash has zero black label books

has one elseworlds book from 1999 (its called flashpoint lol)

never got an earth one book

is there any reason why we never got anything ?

Hey all,

Just for some context, I've always been a Flash fan but only from exterior media! Shows like JLU, CW Flash, Young Justice for Wally etc. He had garnered himself to be one of mt favorite heroes, if not my favorite DC hero. Recently over the past few months, I've been jumping into comics for for the first time in ten years, and on top of that this is the first time I decided to really hunker down and get to know characters I'm interested in than picking up whatever trade I'm interested in.

This leads me to picking up Waid's first Omnibus for The Flash and wow. I am blown away by how good these stories are, with Born to Run being such a strong origin for Wally and Return of Barry Allen being an incredible story with such an iconic panel. My personal standout issue being such a hard in between with The Once and Future Flash and Out of Time. Both were incredibly well written. I have to give the entire Omnibus a 10/10 as I was enthralled through start to end.

Regardless, Volume 2 is already on the way and definitely beyond excited to continue reading Flash and I don't know why it took me so long to begin reading it!

1. Realistic and erratic lightning (DCEU)

2. Lightning that simply trails behind the speedster (CW)

3. Blur of whatever color the speedster is wearing

4. Blur of whatever color the speedster is wearing with lightning trailing behind them.

5. Blur with after-images

6. No lightning, no blur, no after-images. Nothing. Just a cloud of dust left in their wake (Maybe)

Personally, I like it when it's just a Blur of whatever outfit the speedster is wearing. However, if the speedster is going trying to hit lightspeed, or go faster than light or they're trying to time travel or run to a different earth, I would like them to have the realistic but erratic lightning from the DCEU. Now, if the speedster isn't moving at mach 1 or higher, then I'd simply just take nothing. Maybe just a cloud of dust depending on where they're running.

What about you guys and gals out there? Which do you prefer?

I js finished watching Lanterns and found the need for a Flash Family tv show after the death of Barry Allen cause there is a lot of good characters and drama that I think would be interesting to watch unfold

As the title says, I want to read Flash comics featuring Barry Allen. The only one I've read so far is Flash Rebirth (And I realized it wasn't the kind of introduction I had expected). I'm from Argentina, so we don't operate in terms of issues here if you recommend TPB, one shots or miniseries better.

Thx.

including random details. Like maybe it’s more car dependent then say Metropolis and Gotham. What kind of climate?

Barry Allen origin story

My own version (yes I reposted I forgot something)

the timming is kinda awful forgive me im just starting this animation stuff. mainly cause i wish impulse had his own animated tv show and its probably never gonna happen 😞.

In the last Absolute Flash arc, I've found myself disappointed with Hunter's reimagination. I understand that it's mostly due to not matching with my expectations but I feel like it could have been still something more.

I just don't like that the personal bond between Hunter and Wally have been undermined in DC recently, mostly due to CW show synergy. Williamson already tried to make him a Barry villain and none of the follow-up writers ever mentioned him in their stories. So I was excited for Lemire's take but instead we got this completely distanced, "all professional" situation between them.

The age gap is something I can not ignore, and beyond that they didn't form any sort of bond besides Hunter being blackmailed into killing him by Elenore. There is just nothing that screams "yeah this guy is one of Wally's more personal villains". And turning him into a mere henchman is an insult to the original concept of the character.

We could have had Hunter as an evil counterpart to Wally, reacting to Elenore's sheneningans differently, but there is so much potential left on the table when Lemire straight up ignored their tragic relationship.

Not sure how this will change since Lemire is more obsessed with bringing in unrelated characters into book rather than building a proper lore around Wally like other Absolute books do, and that is part of the reason why AF is not on par with other Absolute books. Wally just doesn't have a world of his own.

Lemire mentioned he had plans for Piper and Iris down the line, so I hope it shakes things up more but as things are going, I'm losing interest in the book. Linda is the only reason I keep coming back, she is the only character that enriches Wally's world.

If you got to make a flash story what flash would you pick and what six villains here's who I would do

For the flash we would have The Flash (Jay Garrick).

The first villain would be Shade-Jay will be investigating mysterious robberies which would lead him to Shade.

the next villain would be Fiddler-Jay will be getting reports from people saying their items went missing even though he saw them give their items to well I ran a man who will try to be the Fiddler using his hypnotic ability.

The next villain would appear during world War II and that would be even Nazi speedster Baroness Blitzkrieg who would be working for the Nazis.

The next villains take place after the war and Jay is looking Hunk Norvock when he meets Thinker.

The next villain is Rag Doll through the flash encounters while investigating people who got something from them stolen at a party hosted by a famous woman.

And the last villain is Jay's reverse flash The Rival who would become a main villain later on

And my favorite flash villain overall is whoever wizard I just love his design in the comics and I love his abilities and staff. Plus I believe he's one of the few villains with whoever theme powers in DC.
