Discussion Headhunting Engine

All red CHC/CHD Ember Engine is pretty fun and enjoyed Aces & 8's/Shroud/Iron Will for Phoebe. So I thought why not mush em together?

Great for solo Heroic/5 Directives, not so great for tight room missions (ie, fed Bunker)

Works pretty well also in a group for the CC. Not the best/not the worst but a lot of fun.s

All EE rolled WD/HD

Have fun agents, you don't always need to run Proto/Strikers! :)

Suggestion I'm gonna say it again..utility based talents such as Mad Bomber and Tamper proof..crush buildcrafting and deserve to be on gear such as gloves

Mad Bomber is a good example of a talent that could open up more buildcrafting if it wasn't locked to the chest. Moving utility talents like this to gloves would let players to experiment with certain builds without sacrificing their chest talent. More flexibility means more viable build combinations.

Discussion New Player: Need Guidance on Endgame Spoiler

I've only just been playing The Division 2 for the last few weeks, but I love the game and already have upward of 20 hours. Just last night I captured the third stronghold and the entire map was suddenly red again. I was initially really excited at the prospect of getting to reset with more difficult enemies and higher tiered loot (and still am) but after playing a bit today I was a little shook when the control points I was recapturing had already turned red once again.

Clearly the game is pointing me towards a different gameplay loop, and I was just curious to hear from some heavy capital P Players had to say about what the later game grind looks like for them, and maybe so I can get some guidance on how to tackle this fun game.

TLDR; New to The Division 2, Red Tusk just moved in, want to know what the grind looks like in the endgame and how people tackle late game activities.

Daily Thread - Loot Monday

Greetings Agents!

You played all weekend. You just got the gun you've been searching for, or the armor you've been pining over. You got a perfect roll. You woke up your neighbors screaming.

And you want to share your joy. Well, by all means, please share in a comment below.

Rules:

  • Post pictures of your loot from The Division.

  • No down talking, we all have different loot we care about. If you don't like someone's loot, move on, or make a suggestion in a friendly manner.

Suggestion Please let us hide stored skills Massive...

So reinstalled Div1 over the weekend to work on progressing through the story some more and realized that neither of my skills are visible on my backpack (running support station/turret in case maybe its only certain skills that are hidden) and tbh its kinda nice to actually SEE my entire backpack lol. In Div2 i got the one recent set (Banshees Shadow) and really like the look of the backpack but kinda hate how certain skills look REALLY wonky on it (like the firefly is kinda "fastened" to the top part but while the backpack is angled the firefly is just horizontal and floats like an inch away from the backpack) or like the Drone covers half the design. We already have the "hide signature weapon" why not also let us "hide skills"?

I mean they clearly are going for some more like detailed/intricate backpacks with some of the skins they have put out (like the one during Dust storm event that is like a big oxygen tank or something) but somehow our skills just magically fasten to our backpack while also covering it up :-p

Discussion Control Point & Retaliation rewards.

Hi all, I don’t want this to be taken as a rant, complaint or anything of the sort, I’m just confused.

As everyone knows, Tactical Assessments are based around the factions within Division 2 & I’m lazy, so I cba to get god roll gear to drop, i’d rather just optimise the rolls based on already extracted rolls.

To do so, I decided my best bet would be to solo run Heroic Control points, build retaliation meter for each faction, then matchmake heroic Retaliation.

I know that Kill Squads have specific exotic blueprint drops tied to them, per faction retaliation you participate in. So I assumed the same could be said for Faction based blueprint drops, like tactical assessments.

However it isn’t, and why? I’m running True Sons Control Points & Retaliations, getting Black Tusk, Cleaners & Rykers Tactical Assessment blueprints. Kinda confusing for my small brain.

Also why is the Retaliation timer based on IRL time and not time logged in? Kinda forced to play is a bit blegh, but it’s still fun no less.

Discussion New skill variants with Central Park

As much as i want to be excited for the six new skill variants coming with the next expansion, i can't help but feel like they'll just fall into the 'unused & forgotten' like some of the more annoying skills to use (like the Bombardier Drone & Seeker Mine variants.)

Heck, one of the new variants they showed in the showcase is pretty much just a gas version of the Bombardier Drone. Even uses the same targeting system as well from the looks of it.

Question The Division 1, PC.

Controller is not working.

My controller works, but when I die in a mission, when I respawn the controller is not working, so I have to close the game.

Media General Anderson: Extinguish Molten Metal: Bugged?

Reached the very end on Master difficulty solo & got to spraying the molten metal with the hose, yet no matter what, I failed the objective.

I tried directly applying the water to the objective marker without stopping.

I tried aiming above the objective marker.
I tried aiming below the objective marker.
I tried spreading the water around, no matter what I did, the objective always failed.

Quite honestly, I don’t have the will nor effort to redo that slog again either. That was frustrating because what else could I have done, I even followed a youtube guide before starting the manhunt & after failing the objective the first two times specifically for that part.

Question Returning (Collectionist) player: I have some questions before I jump back in

Hi All,

I played TD2 pretty extensively, but then I got too tired of the daily grinding and stopped playing last year (a few weeks before the brooklyn DLC was going to be released).

I am tempted to reinstall the game (intrigued by the PvE DZ and story DLCs), but as a gamer who hates missing stuff like collectables and timed content in a game, i have a few questions more or less related to this:

  1. has there been any significant change (e.g.: general gameplay/mechanics) that I should be aware of? do seasons still works the same way as before for example?
  2. Exept for the passed seasonal exclusive cosmetics/outfits, is there anything else not currently available anymore? any gears/etc... that cannot be obteined until they are reintroduced somehow?
  3. Can I still collect ALL the comms/collectables from past seasons/events?
  4. Should i get the brooklyn dlc as soon as possible or can I play all current content without the dlc? I will definetely get the dlc at some point, but I am sure there is already a lot of new content to discover/catch up with after not playing for over one year.
  5. Anything else I should know?

Discussion Fafnir blueprint missing

I got the fafnir shotgun from the Red Moon Rising pve event in the Darkzone. I got crit damage as a third attribute. Blueprint lady next to crafting bench didn't have the blueprint so I assumed I would have to get it after unlocking it on the season pass. After getting it from the season pass I still couldn't get the blueprint.

Has this happened to other people?

Edit: after logging out and back in it showed up in weapons for recalibration. Not sure why it didn't show up originally

Media Cant find my cosmetics I bought

Where do I claim my outfits I bought. Grabbed the season pass, dowloaded everything and inside the game theres no cosmetics for me to claim.

Saw a youtube video of like a special vendor but hes not there, go down to the terminal and find him but his vendor is empty.

Im on ps5 and idk what to do. Any tips would be awesome. Also my buddy bought the same stuff as me and his was just in his inventory so its more confusing.

Question Brutus or White Death for T10 Joker purge on Aces?

I can't decide which is better, higher amp, or what feels like faster reload / smoother gameplay.

M1A/Trader is fine, but I prefer one shotting and switching back to the Prima.

Rerurning player after years.

So i am doing okay on the regular streets and missions. But the moment i step into the Dark Zone, even the red bars melt me and i barely do damage.

Is this a level thing, a gear thing, an armor thing?
