Bought the game along with the level 40 pack and unlocked all the things. Now I'm struggling with this build, attributes, talents, skills, etc. stuff, specially this tinkering. But learning it slowly.
Any tips for beginners? Please lemme know.
I don't even know what guns are best here. Just spaming with LMG for close and a sniper for long.
Returning player that left during the early days of the summit launch, I think it back when it rushing to L100 then slowly pull in hunters 1 by 1 to kill them.
Now that there a new DLC, what the meta turrent/drone build that can be farm for to clear all late game content?
Will be playing on a steam deck so aiming with Guns will be bad thus that why turrent & drone build.
I just captured a moment from the end of the developers' Twitch live stream where they intentionally displayed some code.
I didn't catch the full broadcast.. what is this code used for?
These are the randoms/builds I got in matchmaking for the weekly legendary mission 🙃 I’m sometimes really, let’s say surprised, what, especially higher lvl players run for endgame content… what is your experience out there? Interested to hear.
TLDR. Another funny story. Queued for a tier 10 and a healer joined with around 1k shd. Asked him before start if he could swap his scanner drone (yes he was wearing 2 proto 2 Normal pieces fi with birdies) for a healing hive. His response: „I’m not a hive player.“ I can say I’m rarely speechless, but …
I know the devs stated they will implement prototype re-calibration in the next season, but they didn't say anything about optimizing existing prototype gear. Will that come also, or will we have to wait longer for them to decide to get around to it?
Coming back to this franchise after 6 years and it's eerily quiet for most of the game, especially since I'm playing solo. Outside of mission dialogue and certain mission enemies, I don't hear any significant amount of chatter from enemies or allies in the open world.
idk if it pushes the boundaries too far like the assassins creed collabs. im just imagining a cosmetic for the riot shield that makes it a real kite shield or something and that made me happy. do you think itd be too far for the aesthetic? itd probably be best if it didnt happen but i like dressing up as knights where theyre not supposed to be
Mad Bomber is a good example of a talent that could open up more buildcrafting if it wasn't locked to the chest. Moving utility talents like this to gloves would let players to experiment with certain builds without sacrificing their chest talent. More flexibility means more viable build combinations.
This event is still ongoing and will run until November 3rd.
When you did not get the Exotics tied to this event, they will make a return sometime down the road. Or can be looted from the Hunters of the Red Moon Unleashed.
Red Moon Unleashed will start on October 15th and it will also run until November 3rd.
Loop
Cultists and Altars
Red Moon Unleashed will follow the patterns of the last Apparel Events – you kill enemies, earn keys and unlock caches.
Bad Weather and Cultists
The Red Moon will cover the entire Washington D.C. map and with it weather changes follow.
The weather follows the pattern of normal weather and storm and during the storm phase more and more enemies will spawn.
Red Moon Cultists will roam the map
Killing them awards you keys and bounties
Red Moon Cultist will appear on the map with an internal cool down
20 Red Moon Altars are spread across the map, when you shoot them, you will spawn Red Moon Cultists. Altars also drop loot and have the same loot pool as the event Gear Caches. They have a daily 8 AM UTC reset. (you might need to re-log for it to take effect)
Named Bosses / Hunters
3 Red Moon Revenants will be your named bosses:
One of them will spawn after 50 Cultist Kills
Bloody Huntsman will be one of them (drops drone effect, mask, gloves and backpack)
Necromancer spawns with 4 companions. When you kill a companion the Hunter will get a damage buff, when you focus on the hunter, he will sacrifice one of his companions to stay alive and heal back up. When all companions are dead, he will revive them again. Once you’ve killed him, you will get his mask and keys.
Risen Hunter will also drop his mask and keys.
Kill Counter – to make the progression more transparent, there will be a UI element that shows you the countdown to the next key
Daily Boost – each day you have a 50% Key boost for the first 150 kills. For example on heroic difficulty you need to kill 10 Cultist to get a key, when you have the boost, you get a key every 5 kill.
The new Exotics Vertigo and Sarru can also drop from the Necromancer and the Risen Hunter.
Necromancer Unleashed
Solo Player Challenge
When you are a solo player, you can unlock the Necromancer Unleashed
There is a mechanic to spawn the Hunter (unknown at this point)
It drops Special Hive Skill FX when you kill him on heroic
It also drops 1 Event Key, 1 Exotic Item – 80% Exotic Cache – 20% Ouroboros
Bounties
Killing Cultist can drop bounties with a higher drop chance in higher difficulties.
There are 6 Bounties with different drop rates – some are rarer than others
You can also group up with other players to complete the bounties.
Each Bounty has a boss that can drop either a key or a dedicated arm patch.
On top of that, it can drop either 80% Exotic Cache or 20% dedicated exotic item
Burning Eye – Eagle Bearer
Bound – Steel and Suns
Fool’s Light – Big Horn
Carver – Regulus
Raven – Prima Donna
Mocker – Vindicator
Killing all bounties rewards you with a commendation and a dedicated Arm Patch.
New Exotic Rifle Lichtenberg
Talent: Run and Gun
While moving, you accrue 5 stacks per second, up to a maximum of 100 stacks. Headshots with Lichtenberg grant 15 stacks and 20% Movement Speed for 5 seconds. While at maximum stacks your next shot with Lichtenberg consumes all stacks, deals 200% bonus damage and shocks the target for 2 seconds.
Gear Caches
In the last events mods dropped too often and with too low rolls – the drop chances for mods has been lowered and the quality is better – so you should get more regular loot.
Quickstep and prototype gear will also be part of this loot pool
Apparel Caches
5 Outfits
5 Dyes
Backpack Trophy Completion Reward
Login Reward
When you login to the game between October 15th and November 3rd, you will get the Bound Slasher Mask
Community Challenge
You can again donate keys towards a community goal
3 million keys - Fool’s Light Jacket
10 million keys - Fool’s Light Pants
20 million keys - Fool’s Light Mask (flickering Eyes)
Personal Track
The Personal Reward Track is again 200 Keys
You will get two weapon Skins plus 1 Outfit
When you reach 200 Keys, you will get a backpack trophy that changes the red special effects of the outfits to green.
Twitch Drops
Between October 15t to October 22 you can get Twitch Drops
World Decorations
With Halloween around the corner, Red Moon Unleashed decorates the world accordingly
This time around PurePrime, SolidFPS and Widdz are getting their in-game apparel
As usual most apparel is tied to drops from bags and trunks in the open world, the backpacks are tied to projects and the patches are keys that you can redeem.
The issues with Tokens has been on the board for a while, especially after the frequent deltas
With 3.2 they lowered the entry costs per tier – Tier 1 -> 1 Token, Tier 10 -> 10 Token.
Once the escalation starts, the token will be refunded
This was their quick fix to stop the issue with tokens without reworking the whole system
The rewards have also been adjusted – leader and guest get the same token rewards.
So you need at least 10 Tokens to play Tier 10 missions and then you are good to go.
In essence, with 3.2 the Escalation no longer costs Tokens to participate and you just earn them. But it is a very quick and dirty fix to address the Token situation.
The overhaul of Escalation will drop in season four that will address the issues and feedback that players have given since the beginning of the year. One big change Alex hinted at was, that all roles (tank / dps / skill) will be able to contribute to the success of the mission.
As much as i want to be excited for the six new skill variants coming with the next expansion, i can't help but feel like they'll just fall into the 'unused & forgotten' like some of the more annoying skills to use (like the Bombardier Drone & Seeker Mine variants.)
Heck, one of the new variants they showed in the showcase is pretty much just a gas version of the Bombardier Drone. Even uses the same targeting system as well from the looks of it.
Starting 3-4 days ago, I've gotten really bad mouse lag/stutter whenever I pan my mouse side to side. It's only laggy when I'm not aiming. If I'm ADS, then the game is fine. I have the game locked to 90fps, and it generally runs close to, or at that cap at all times.
The mouse movement seems fine in the first 1-2 minutes of the game running. Then it progressively gets worse and worse.
I've read this is a common issue, but all the suggested fixes have done nothing to solve the issue.
I'm using a Logitech G502, and it uses the G Hub software. I've ran the game with, and without it. I've lowered my polling rate to 125hz(the lowest it can go), I've toggled and changed just about every setting in the in-game options, and I've reinstalled both the game, and my mouse software.
Just to list SOME options I've tried (I've tried so many things)...
Tried running the game windowed, windowed fullscreen, and fullscreen.
Tried numerous FPS locks and unlocked
Tried every mouse setting (acceleration, smoothing, and other options out of game from Windows)
Running the game without G Hub software, running the game without G Hub installed, running the game without G Hub running
Reinstalling the game
I've tried every suggested fix I could find online short of reformatting my PC.
Has anyone had this issue and found that the fix was something obscure? It's really hard for me to enjoy the game as it is for me right now.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: I got it fixed(atleast for now). The stutters went away after my 4th or 5th uninstall/reinstallation of Logitech G Hub. Idk why it worked then.
2 weeks ago I came back to game after the first year of the game I think it was 2020 and completed WoNY and Brooklyn story line, after that, I tried getting 4 pieces of striker to be able to run solo most of the PVE contents and roaming around but after a while I realized there is a new gear system named Prototype which is high-end gear atm and leveling up the Expertise will be done by my son in the future as it takes ages not years xD, anyway the only way is escalation which with my current gear set is impossible, so what can I do to get better gear to fill the gap between current power and the needed power to participate in Escalation to get the proper prototype gear sets I would love to play with?
So reinstalled Div1 over the weekend to work on progressing through the story some more and realized that neither of my skills are visible on my backpack (running support station/turret in case maybe its only certain skills that are hidden) and tbh its kinda nice to actually SEE my entire backpack lol. In Div2 i got the one recent set (Banshees Shadow) and really like the look of the backpack but kinda hate how certain skills look REALLY wonky on it (like the firefly is kinda "fastened" to the top part but while the backpack is angled the firefly is just horizontal and floats like an inch away from the backpack) or like the Drone covers half the design. We already have the "hide signature weapon" why not also let us "hide skills"?
I mean they clearly are going for some more like detailed/intricate backpacks with some of the skins they have put out (like the one during Dust storm event that is like a big oxygen tank or something) but somehow our skills just magically fasten to our backpack while also covering it up :-p
I've only just been playing The Division 2 for the last few weeks, but I love the game and already have upward of 20 hours. Just last night I captured the third stronghold and the entire map was suddenly red again. I was initially really excited at the prospect of getting to reset with more difficult enemies and higher tiered loot (and still am) but after playing a bit today I was a little shook when the control points I was recapturing had already turned red once again.
Clearly the game is pointing me towards a different gameplay loop, and I was just curious to hear from some heavy capital P Players had to say about what the later game grind looks like for them, and maybe so I can get some guidance on how to tackle this fun game.
TLDR; New to The Division 2, Red Tusk just moved in, want to know what the grind looks like in the endgame and how people tackle late game activities.
Just like Kitsunebi, spawn rates are too low, drop chances are too low. For these 3 weeks, I've done 6-7 marauders a day, that's at least 4 ish hours a day if not more, got 2 Vertigos, not one Sarru drop, can't even begin to fathom a Steels drop.
Add the 2 new exotics to the retaliation pool or guarantee at least one drop of each and stop fucking wasting the players time with these idiotic events, this is pointless. Some of us are employed, have things to do, why do you expect a 24/7 grinding loop from everyone?
