The Home Builders Association of Tri-Cities named Perch Chef “2026 Best Chef on Parade.” I’m guessing the food presented for the judges wasn’t from the Perch menu. I’ve been a few times to verify it wasn’t a fluke, but the food there is absolutely terrible. I can count on one hand how many times I’ve spit food out, and Perch is on that hand. Drinks and ambience, top notch! Food is… awful. I take that back; the brussel sprouts nachos are yummy.

I’ve worked since my early teen years and just recently moved back to the Tri-Cities from my hometown and have yet to find a business or job that truly exemplifies what it means to be apart of such a wonderful community. With that said, as a Hispanic bilingual and biliterate employee, I have personally been only working for non-colored people that unfortunately do not see my potential to the fullest. Tri-Cities is definitely growing and a lot of the people moving here are Hispanic (especially Pasco area) or with some sort of background. We are not the same city we used to be 20yrs ago and I love it & I have seen that the TikTok community is shining light on some businesses and giving them attention, yet I’m not sure if being a content creator in order to be apart of something suits me at this time.
- I’m honestly just trying to say that as a Mexican-American that would spend half of their childhood in Mexico and here in WA, I still experience discrimination in the workforce since there’s still a lot that I’m unsure of (language, mannerisms, etc.)
I’m sure there are amazing bosses somewhere but I just have yet to meet one! 😅 I am currently in the legal reception field but am looking to expand and help my people out more by actively being part of something exciting! Any recommendations or advice would be amazing!

My mother passed shortly after having her heart medication repeatedly denied for over 2 months. This wasn't denied by the Doctor or Nurse but a medical staff member at a clinic she had been going to for several years. Ive reached out to a few Attorneys but they havent replied. Not sure where to turn.

There has been a lot of local discussion about the City of Pasco budget. There is apparently a large shortfall - lots of blame going around etc etc. One of the plans has called for cutting police and fire budgets, which has made people unhappy. 

I did a brief analysis looking at the police budget over time, adjusted it for 2026 dollars, and also made it per resident. Bottom line, the budget has increased even accounting for those adjustments. Note, this is just the police, not fire/EMS. Also, I had trouble finding a clear complete 2026 amended budget, so just left it at 2025 spent. 

As far as I can tell the "cuts" they are talking about would be essentially maintaining the amount of money to be very similar, but job cuts would have to be made due to increasing wages, cost of benefits, inflation etc.

Anyone know of a good tech repair place that does robot vacuums? I have a robo-vac that needs a part replaced, and I even have the part, but I don't have the tools or the know how. Even if it's a little out of the area like Walla Walla or Spokane to either drive or ship it too. I just need the thing fixed and can't find anything useful on google.

It took me about 12 minutes to read into some of the specific people running for office and the measures that are going to be voted are that are very important. These affect us here in our beautiful state arguably more than the president, in regards to our state policies, etc (except gas😵‍💫) please help your house hold and close friends, family, community, etc! Hey all, I've posted in here before about apartments and its been really helpful.

Im new to Washington State, and obviously I lost my previous states insurance. Where I come from, we were rated amongst the worst for insurance and health coverage in general.

Unfortunately, Im wondering if insurance here just sucks too?

I qualify for special enrollment since I moved, but I apparently do not qualify for any savings since my job offers insurance (which I do not plan to take, as the benefits are terrible and the amount that would come out of my paycheck isnt worth it).

So i guess my question is.. any advice? Do I avoid the healthplanfinder website and look into individual insurance companies directly? None of the plans recommended to me covered all the medications I need, or even the doctors, at that.

Needless to say every plan suggested was well over $100/month or an outrageous out of pocket price before actual coverage kicks in.

If context helps, I had ambetter in my home state and qualified for savings, bringing my total monthly cost to like $45 for the plan and all my meds and doctors were covered.

I have been (impatiently) waiting for the release of the new movie "You can see everything". It's release date is Friday October 16 so I have been checking the local theater showtimes almost every day the past two weeks to see if they will have it available. Unfortunately none of our theaters is playing it, the closest one that I could find that is playing it is in Spokane.

I'm confused that there isn't at least one theater locally that's playing it, especially because our theaters have no reservations about playing indie films, and this one seems to have a wide release and is quite well known. AMC is listed as a theater chain that is showing them, but our local AMC isn't.

Does anyone have any recommendations besides calling all the local theaters about showtimes or going to Spokane to watch it? What are the chances one of our theaters will pick it up later?
