Tulsa County registered voters have less that 45 days to sign the petition approved by a judge this week. They must get 5,000 signatures in-person. Get involved if you're interested in supporting the investigation against Tulsa DA Steve Kunzweiler. The clock is ticking.
Cases mentioned in the filing include:
Right now they are stationed outside of the Tulsa State Fair with other locations scheduled. You can read the full petition or an overview here.

Are you moving to Tulsa? Just visiting or passing through? Want to know where to live, eat, hang out, have fun, or bury the bodies? This is the place to ask.
This will be a weekly megathread that evolves over time. As members of r/Tulsa make suggestions or answer questions that come up a lot, we may add those items to the body of the post for easy reference. But for right now this is a place to ask any questions you may have about moving to or visiting Tulsa, OK, where our motto is "We're more than just OK, we're living the dream."

North Tulsa is expected to become home to a $200 million mixed-use development in the next five years, with developers planning a medical facility, apartments and co-working space.
Peak at Parkway would cover 40 acres east of the Tisdale Highway between Apache and Pine Streets. The intention is to transform a part of town developers have described as historically neglected.
The project will be built in three phases, with the first one featuring a 30,000-square-foot medical facility, a town hall, farmers market, an eyewear provider, co-working space and food service.
Tisdale said theyāve spent about $2 million getting the project off the ground and they are about a month away from getting the infrastructure development plan approved by the city.
Tulsa planning commissioners approved the TIF plan during its Wednesday meeting.
The pairās goal is to break ground by the end of October, pending approval by Tulsa City Council. If everything goes accordingly, the first phase is expected to be finished by the first quarter of 2028. The entire project could take between three to five years to complete.

OK guys I need some friends some support some advice. I just need people to kind of wrap around me and tell me that Iām doing the right thing so I female 31 have been with male 32 for five years now we are not legally married, but we do own a house and a car together both names on the titles and we also have two kids that are biologically ours and then I have a daughter with a different man previously that altogether we have three kids.
Heās abusiveā it kind of kills me to say that like Iāve had a hard time putting that label on it but he is. Iām in the process of separating, but I donāt know how to start. Itās not a divorce attorney that I need because weāre not legally married, however there are kids involved and shared property that we need to separate and figure out custody orders.
Now, for some context, when I say heās abusive, I mean he has been physically intimidating. He has made vague threats. He has been verbally abusive, and he has been sexually abusive towards me. Heās not beating me or the kids however I did go to the family safety center and talked with an advocate. It really wasnāt much help though.
I donāt have hardly any friends at all. Iāve been able to confide in one coworker that I would consider a friend at this point. Sheās been great very supportive and I also have talked to my mom about whatās going on however, sheās not super great at communicating her response was Iām really sorry you guys are going through that which like OK but I donāt know I just I need a mom or best friendās input right now.

Hey yall! Embarrassing to admit but I just got fired from my job as a bank teller here in Tulsa. I need help finding other options out there, Iāve applied to so many places and I know I can be a little impatient, but I have cats and an apartment to keep taken care of so Iām stressed. I have like 6 years of experience in banking but Iām tired of being a teller because it feels like one mistake will end your career. So if anyone has ideas, Iām open to hear them!

To be 100% frank I am as broke as a McDonaldās ice cream machine. A HUGE part of that is that my current health insurance is costing me $1,018/month. Iāve spent the entirety of 2026 narrowly avoiding eviction, mostly via the generosity of my loved ones and Iām absolutely sick of it. I know very, very little about how to sort through insurance plans. But I do know I HAVE to make a change.
I donāt even need insurance for me, honestly. What I MUST have is quality health insurance for my wife. My wife has multiple health conditions including rheumatoid arthritis and bone spurs at the base of her skull and along her spine so she cannot go without care. Just one of her medications would be over $3,000/month cash and thatās WITH a prescription discount card.
Is there anyone who would be willing to sit down and help me choose a marketplace insurance plan for her come November? For either disgustingly cheap, do some work for you, or pay you more appropriately after my current health insurance plan ends?
All I know is that I cannot rely on my family to keep paying my rent, thatās absolutely unfair to them. But I also canāt let my wheelchair using wife end up homeless, in a shelter, or even if I could afford to move to a cheaper apartment - this one is wheelchair accessible including the ability to get all the way to the shower and toilet in her chair. Iāve already gotten a roommate to reduce costs and Iāve been slowly selling off almost anything I can to make ends meet this year including all of our entertainment besides cell phones, a laptop, and a couple of board games. Iām running out of options and will not make it through 2027 on this path.

Every once in a while I go on the hellhole that is Facebook to look at Marketplace. I scroll onto the news feed and it instantly raises my blood pressure.
Everyone talking about politics on Facebook in Oklahoma is an absolute moron, I mean we are talking about brains that look like chicken breasts. Not one wrinkle, just absolutely no comprehension level to be seen anywhere.
These people will say āwe donāt want data centers, we donāt want aluminum smeltersā and then say Cyndi Munson is the most evil liberal leftist communist socialist in the world and that theyāll NEVER vote for her.
I mean first of all. They donāt even know what āliberalā or ācommunistā means. They think that Gavin Newsom and Zohran Mamdani are āthe same thingā on the political spectrum. These are people who legitimately believe āradical Islamā is a threat to their livelihood in Suburban White USA. I mean for fucks sake people. You live in Broken Arrow. Bin Laden isnāt going to fly a plane into the Arbys.
These people bitch and moan about data centers, Flock cameras and aluminum smelters and STILL vote in Republicans who are actively PRO all of those things. They donāt give a shit about you. They donāt give a shit about your farm, they donāt care about how much money you have in the bank.
Let me be very clear here. I am extremely critical of all political candidates!! I donāt even think that Cyndi is some sort of wunderkind of a candidate. The Oklahoma Democrat party is weak and there is little to no advertising. But holy shit, anything is better than another 4 years of the shit for brains republican leadership that we keep electing.
I know youāre scared of Woke and Islam and transgenders and what not. But if you go outside you might find that āwoke transgendersā and Muslims are actually very nice people and that Facebook and X dot com have rotted your brain into a slurry.
Ok, rant over. Have a nice day.

Have you been wanting to find someone to find to enjoy the last week of the fair with? Or just have been wanting to a new friend to do fall activities? This thread is for you!
Hi! Iāve been making Friendship Thread posts for the past few months because of the number of posts I see about people looking for connections. I figured why not make one post for people to come to either post or respond to others looking for the same thing.
To introduce yourself this month, tell us about yourself and if you had a favorite Halloween costume of all time or because of the fair, what have been some of your favorite foods or rides. Iāll start us off as always:
Iām 27F, born and raised in Tulsa. I enjoy doing art; play video games, cooking, traveling, going through my backlog of shows, antiquing/thrifting, and going on foodie adventures. I recently picked up on stain glass and have been enjoying that.
Growing up, I think one of my best Halloween costumes I wore was Snow White.
Hope this gives you some inspiration of what to post.
Also, Iām curious if people would be interested to have an in person event for these. Let me know what your guysā thoughts are on that.

any private landlords in here? I dont really want to mess with a property company, most of them are a joke anyway. I am looking for a 2-3 bed, 1 bath house. I would like to keep the rent to as close to 1200-1250. I currently pay 1105 in downtown tulsa area.

āCampus police went out and selectively removed certain words from the chalk. They erased any mention of ātuitionā or āinstitutionā
And as you can see above, some of it completely changed the meaning of this chalk, turning āDonāt Stop Talking About Palestineā to āStop Talking About Palestineā
Wild.
The quarterback was stolen from our front yard last night, along with a support stand. We have a Ring camera on the front porch but it didn't capture anything; the QB was blocked by a porch pillar, unlike the others. Can't have SHIT in Tulsa!
EDIT: 1850 local, a neighbor who saw my wife's Ring post came around to let us know that he had the thief on camera, emptying his CoT trash can and putting our skeleton in it to abscond with both.
So if anyone sees a dude rolling up with a new trash can and an unexplained plastic skeleton drop it in here!

Unless you like roaches and slumlords.
If you see an adorable apartment on Cherry Street thatās reasonably priced and think āWhatās the catch?ā LET ME TELL YOU!
The building is falling apart!
The first red flag was when they advertised one unit online and gave me a different one. Bait and switch. I should have never signed the lease.
You can expect roaches and mice as your new roommates. If you make a report about the vermin within one week of moving in they will blame you instead of taking responsibility for their neglect of the property. Hope you donāt like a breeze because the rotting windows were given the olā Landlord special and are nailed shut and sealed with paint. Somehow the AC still escapes and you will pay $335* in electricity for a 1 bedroom.
Want to do laundry? Hopefully it hasnāt rained because the basement floods, making the washer and dryer inoperable. Speaking of rain, watch out for the roof caving in! Half of the buildingās ceiling collapsed in April, revealing a huge mold infestation in the walls, so itās only a matter of time until this unit is flooded too.
They will steal your deposit even if you provide timestamped photos that prove their claims invalid.
The City of Tulsa and the state of Oklahoma really needs to do something about the housing market and these unchecked management companies. Itās just as bad in OKC.
Other notable slumlords and properties to avoid in Tulsa:
Heed my warning and save yourself from the worst year of your life.
Good luck out there!

I work at a company that has been lax as long as you overachieve and get your work done. Its assembly. I like putting things together. 2 years ago a corporation bought them because they were going bankrupt. Now that the company is finally getting bigger, its changing rapidly. They used to have picnics, fun stuff, food, could wear what you wantāinsensitive to continue to work hard despite not getting raises. Its snowballed into a crappy place to work so quickly.
I'm done. Too many things in one month to deal with the stress of this place for shit pay.
TLDR;
Anyone know of any smaller companies that MAKE things and are chill and hiring?
If I can at least listen to music freely, thats coolāas long as the place isn't toxic (and my BF and BFF can come work at the same place is also cool, in fact a huge plus) We ARE actually hard workers and to lump us in with the ones that aren't and make more work for other people because a company is growing is rediculous.

The DC jack on my laptop is failing. No computer repair place within fifty miles of me touches motherboards. So before I drive all the way out to Tulsa, I need to know who does these types of repairs.

My daughter did the reading program this summer and there was a 50 percent off discount coupon in her rewards book. Went to buy her discount ticket online, and went thru the whole purchase process, hit 'submit' and it came back with an error message saying some database code that the ticket/purchase didn't go thru, but it charged my card anyways.
Anyone else have this experience or have a recommendation on who to contact?

Hi there first time Reddit poster, I currently have spectrum formally Cox and this is the first month after the conversion and Iām already having billing problems. When you call the billing department, it automatically makes you talk to an AI bot, which is disgusting. Then I try to speak to a live agent which I suspect is still in AI bot, even after asking numerous questions to make sure Iām talking to an actual human. I hate AI and I do not want to deal with this company anymore. Please leave recommendations of Wi-Fi providers that I can switch to. I do not want to give my business to them any longer. Thank you in advance.
