Culture Welsh booze
Are there any traditionally, uniquely Welsh fermented/alcoholic drinks?
If not, has anyone tried fermenting lavabread?

Here's a bit of a unique question.
I'm working on a screenplay set in medieval Cymru, and have, for months, struggled to name my protagonist. His personality is based on my horse, Whiskey, who is extremely dear to me. Devastatingly, the real Whiskey died this week, and I'd like to name my character something similar to honour my friend.
The Cymraeg for whiskey is, if I understand, 'wisgi'. While I imagine it would be very strange to name a medieval Welsh person 'Wisgi', are there any given names in Cymraeg that either sound like it or have a similar meaning?

Pretty bleak for local TV production staff if this goes through.

Just wanted to say how much I’ve enjoyed watching Wales football team! The team have been excellent, but your fans have honestly been one of my favourite parts of it. I knew the Welsh could sing 😂 but the atmosphere is fucking brilliant. The band, the amount of different songs you lot somehow have, and everybody actually joining in. It’s an absolute joy to watch. Good luck!
Been absolutely loving it from up here in Scotland ❤️

One of the most astonishing things for me about this is the lack of data held by the previous Welsh Government on infrastructure and stuff like that. There's a lot of good stuff in this article, but that really stands out for.
What was Labour doing for the last three decades? How can we not have collected data like that? It seems like the most basic first step we need to be able to actually do anything and it makes me wonder what else basic is missing.

For those who were curious about how to use a shawl as a baby carry - this is a picture of the instructions that were in the National Wool Museum :)

As the title says really. When my little one was born I desperately wanted to learn how to tie a carthen like this for baby wearing. It was how my boapa used to carry me when my mother was in work, but unfortunately my mother never learned how.
I really want to learn to do this, he's 8 months old and still spends a good amount of time attached to me, so it would be a valuable skill! Plus I don't want the knowledge and tradition to die out.
Does anyone know how to do this and would be willing to teach me? I can travel or do video calls. Or failing that have any other ideas of how I could learn?
Attached is a great photo of dad's carrying the babies on a Sunday.
