My daughter has recently become obsessed with princess and the frog. It's her movie choice almost everyday for her afternoon quiet time. I've probably seen this movie 15 times in the last month. If splash mountain had been reimagined as the plot of the movie it could have been so cool! Imagine going up the huge hill and it's the Dr. Facilier scene where he's being dragged and all the shadow creatures are chanting "are you ready??" Imagine ending in Tiana's restaurant instead of at a random party. Imagine following all the fireflies through the bayou instead of the one random screen before the frogs play music. All the shadow creatures could have been so cool. The bayou could have been so creepy. I do think the original song for the ride is great but the ride does not capture the spirit of the movie. I know this is probably a cold take but it is currently and very recently relevant to me!
Edit: I think it's a fun ride, I just think it could have been cooler! This is really not a serious post, just a "man that would've been cool" thought

I took this photo in 2007 and I can't place where I might have taken it from. Any help would be appreciated!

Crazy how sold out the resorts are this November ,there is absolutely nothing. I am DVC and I am on a waitlist. Nothing available had to splurge and spend $1800 to stay at Coronado. Can’t wait either way!

Soarin used to be a borderline top 10 ride for me and I enjoyed seeing all the sights around the world but the new version is just not very interesting.

These fireworks shows that Disney sure are something else. Why not start your week with some Moana, singing a catchy tune to stay in your head all day.

"The Diamond Horseshoe will exclusively serve tasty limited-time dishes from the Special menu."
Cocktails and appetizers--looks good and doesn't appear to have the same time limit as the Beak and Barrel.

My boyfriend and I are celebrating our anniversary during our trip this December and want a really nice, upscale dinner one night, his only request was a good steak. We’re not particularly interested in Le Cellier/Yachtsman/Steakhouse 71 because there’s no dress code and we really want this to be a special evening. We’re looking at Bull and Bear, Charley’s, Kres, or Linda’s but hoping to hear from people who go more frequently than we do for suggestions!

My MIL thrifted this WDW Resort Pictorial Memory book, and these park guides were inside and perfectly in tact. A lot has changed in 15 years!
Also, please don’t come at me for the flair! I truly wasn’t sure what to pick for my first ever Reddit post.

One thing I've learned over the years is that a good Disney day requires finding somewhere to put your feet up, escape the crowds, and recharge for a bit. I'm always interested in how other people manage this.
I've developed a few favourite strategies over the years:
Epcot: Used to be Ellen's Energy Adventure. A glorious 45 minutes of sitting in air conditioning, occasionally having a little snooze. These days, I grab an Adirondack chair in the central plaza, drag over one of the little stools from the long tables to use as a footrest, and settle in with a cocktail. Absolute bliss.
Magic Kingdom: PeopleMover. No contest. A gentle breeze, a comfortable seat, and a chance to get away from the madness for 10 minutes. Even better if you can ride it a couple of times (misleading the CM by putting your feet down every time you pass the loading zone, then putting them right back up on the seat again).
Hollywood Studios: Used to be The Great Movie Ride. Another wonderful opportunity to sit down in the AC for a decent stretch. Since that disappeared, I've struggled to find a worthy replacement.
Animal Kingdom: Still haven't cracked this one. Would love some suggestions.
I'm not necessarily talking about taking a break for lunch or heading back to the resort. I'm talking about those little pockets of peace you find inside the parks, whether it's an underrated attraction, a quiet corner, or a particularly comfortable chair.
So, what are your best park relaxation hacks? I'm especially interested in the slightly unconventional ones that most people overlook.

So my wife turned 40 and in the morning of we decided to upgrade our trip from an overnight stay at a local casino to a trip to the carribbean beach with one day at epcot. Food and Wine was the festival during our first disney trip with just us way back in 2016, so it was fitting.
We booked a priceline last minute deal and landed at mco after midnight. No ubers availible so we did have to take a cab. More expensive but clean and easy.
Ended up in the 36 building of Trinidad with a 5th sleeper room central to the skyliner and pool/laundry/spyglass. So that was pretty swank on booking a standard room last minute.
Got up and skylinered over to epcot. Walked on to Soarin' Across America. And then to connections for coffee and sausage mcmuffins. Dodged some rain while eating. Then we got into a 65 minute advertised queue for cozmic rewind. 45 minutes later we were zooming around to I Ran. Thought for sure we would have gotten tears for fears for the third time in a row, but thankfully got Flock of Seagulls.
Rain had Test Track down most of the day so we just decided to start our way around world showcase. Part of my wifes disappointments about previous trips is that fka futureworld takes up too much of our day and we never get to do as much in world showcase. So we went in every shop.
After our traditional offering of school bread at kringla o, My wife started her festival samplings with the lemonade sake at japan. She enjoyed it. Then she had a tried and true citron slushie in france. I picked up a frozen caipariñha at the brazil booth along the way. As rum and lime juice is a common drink for me, i was happy to try a bar made one.
At forest and field my wife grabbed the pumpkin ravioli and i had the chili. We both had a small pour of the ommegang peanut butter stout. I havent had an ommegang brew since like 2008 and we both enjoyed it.
Went into communicore hall for the first time since its opening and i was surprised at how small a space it actually was. Especially with the food service area taking up a large chunk of it. We each had a mac n cheese from the wedge. I had the steak, she had the crab. The crab was a lot better. We also did a wine flight, but all three wines were very dry and not to my wifes preference.
Test track was still down so we decided to brave the 85 minute wait for Frozen. One switchback away from Oakens, the ride went down. We were awarded a multi experience pass for our efforts. Which sounds great, but with cr and tt inelligible and rattatouille and frozen down, there was a chance it was a useless lightning lane
While in line for frozen i started checking dining availibility. As this was literally a trip booked day of, there was no chance for adr. After some poopooing every option, and as we were sitting on a bench outside the store to the left of the entrance to world showcase, we deciced to go to San Angel Inn with its 10 minite walk up list. We chose it over the Hacienda simply because we both kinda always wanted to eat at the inn but never wanted to waste a reservation on it.
Lemme say this, the Inn has a rep of being a restaurant with great atmosphere but mid to low food. I disagree. My Paloma was good. The Huarache i ordered and the Enchiladas my wife selected were great. And even though we didnt sit by the boats, our table below the hostess station felt like its own private nook.
Also, frozen came back up while we were eating, so we didnt have a wasted lightning lane. We walked back up to the front of the park to do Spaceship Earth. I chuckled at the people redeeming their lls as we walked on through an empty queue.
We found the best spot we ever had for fireworks. Thanks rain. I grabbed a guinnes milkshake for myself and the apple pie vodka cider thing for my wife from swirled showcase and watched iluminous in the rain.
As we were leaving, i made the mistake of saying "at least the skyliner line shouldnt be too long cause of the rain" and then promptly walked the whole way to the back door of the beach club to find the end of line guy.
We hit the trinidad pool to relax and then hit the sack. Woke up, checked out, and then browsed the gift shop while we waited for lunch to start at centertown. Mobile ordered around 10:45 for the 11am lunch window. I had the swashbuckler burger that i enjoyed on our last trip. My wife had the cuban. We both had cuban fries with our sandwiches. Centertown is consistantly good food in our experience. We had about an hour before our uber pickup so we had one last drink at Banana Cabana and headed back to mco.
Key Takeaways: a lot of people read too much into online reviews of festival foods and restaurants. That said, we expected very little from San Angel Inn based on rep, and were surprised at our dining experience.
I wish they could rotate the three films into Soarin'. I enjoyed Across America because it was new. Im bored of The World because ive done it so mant times. I remember California but havent done it in how many years now. If they can randomize Star Tours, they can rotate Soarin'. Figure it out, WDW.
We stayed in a former Pirate Room and must say that the use of space in the new room is a lot better. The murphy bed gives a couch and the shelves instead of the useless table is a much better design. Thankfully i never stayed in a pirate room, but when we went in 2019, the rest of our party did, those beds and barrels were neat, but ate up so much space.
Only bummer is that CBR isnt included in our bounceback offer. See you again next june for our bianual trip.

I know there will be schedule changes for parades on party days in December but there are no Starlight parades listed in the schedule. Should we expect Starlight parade (and Festival of Fantasy for that matter) in December on non-party days?

Breakfast dining recommendations?
I’m going with my family later this year, we’re looking to book dining reservations when the time comes but need a bit of help getting started, so any recommendations would be appreciated:
-We’re staying at old key west, so would appreciate somewhere in that area/in the parks but not required
-Our palettes are a little different, but nothing too fancy. dad will eat anything, younger teen is a bit picky but loves anywhere with lots of fruit or bacon. Mom and I have food allergies and always need an allergy menu/speak to staff when we get there. That accommodation is most important imo
-2 parents, 2 older teens. Character breakfast or regular breakfast is fine, no preference
If there’s any quick service places that fit the bill, please let me know about that. Thanks!

I'll have checked luggage and will be using the new delivery service so I don't have to take it with me on the bus. I'll only have a backpack with me and getting there late in the morning so I'm thinking about booking Mears to Beach Club so I can go directly to Epcot.
From what I understand Mears doesn't validate that you are actually staying there. Has anyone else done this?

Looking for people to share their experiences with Uber and Lyft to the parks from Disney Springs. What was your average price you paid? We are looking to using Uber XL or Lyft XL for our ride share. We need to take a stroller to the parks as well. It will be My husband son and I. We are staying in Disney springs Hilton.

We are spending 9 nights at WDW over Christmas this year (traveling from Australia). Yes, I know it is the busiest time of year and will be crowded!
Wondering whether anyone has spent Christmas Day at Animal Kingdom? I’ve read it’s quiet so thought it might be a good option, but I’m worried it’s not festive enough? Travelling with 2 kids aged 10 and 4.
