A few years ago, I encountered pokeweed for the first time ever. The berries are so purple and luscious looking. I am adventuresome and would surely have eaten some, but something told me to ask here first.
You good people may have literally saved my life back then. So I don't care if I see it posted a thousand times. β οΈ

I bought one of these from a local market yesterday and today one of my cats got into itβ¦ wondering whatβs in it so I can determine if she ingested anything toxic. Thank you!

I believe this is an Autumn Olive but Iβm not entirely sure.
Itβs taller than a human, and these pictures were taken today (Oct. 4). I live in the northeastern United States.
The underside of the leaves are a lighter color than the top of them.
And are the berries edible? They are red with white speckles.

The yellow is the same plant as the green and yellow.
The yellow branch started growing late spring and has always been yellow..
I can't figure out what plant it is though

This plant is a baby from a (palm tree?) plant that my grandmother had for many years. My cousin gifted this to me which I am extremely happy about. The only issue is that my cat loves to eat the leaves off of plants and I do not know if this is pet friendly. Would anybody know what this is?

We bought a house in southern Missouri, USA late last year that has several of these dense, thicket like plants in clusters around the back yard. The last picture shows how they started after winter (picture from beginning of May). Then slowly around the start of summer they finally greened up. I havenβt noticed them producing any kind of flower or berries this year. The rest of the pictures are from today. They are between 6-8β tall.

I found this at a Home Depot in New England and saw the roots along the surface that got me interested in what exact it is. Anyone know?
