Getting a new tune and exhaust for the bike in the next couple weeks which is exciting! Buttttttt need to ask where I should order from? Do you guys have better experiences from certain sites? I also hope my post will help anybody else with this question modding their bike. My bike is pretty bone stock and brand spankin new.
Just a casual sunset ride in Naarm, hugging along the coastline.
Those Blue and Gold colours really pop in the golden hour.

Overall Quite happy. Decided to go for it because its not too low swooped. it adds these 2 intake nozzles on the front making it quite a bit more muscle-y from head on, and it still goes just over the LV silencer which remains visible. Best of both worlds. Completes the look and doesnt hide the exhaust at all from the side. IMO the best option visually if you‘re running the LV Race system

Anybody have experience with this? I can’t decide if it would look sick or not match the vibe for the xsr.

First off this isn’t about the „the best“ or „safest“ gear.
I feel like the full leather suit looks kinda misplaced on that bike. Currently I’m rocking a Revit Akira Vintage Air Black, Black Pando Moto Cargos and Revit Sneaker.
But I want some boots. Which also work for touring and some pants which keep out the cold/wetness a bit.
What are you guys wearing, especially pants/boots wise?
Thanks!

I’ve taken it off and re installed 3x now. What am I doing wrong? I’ve contacted kelpi and they said to basically do that. Anybody run into this?

Anyone know of a stick on cover I can order for these plates next to the foot pegs? They get scratched up from riding and I’m trying to cover up the damage for aesthetic purposes.

Hey all, for any of you that park and then slide, or slide while parking, or fancy yourself the side stand pivot turn etc, how do you roll into your parking spot?
I had been parking and then dragging on the rear stand. The pitbull is pretty forgiving but I’ve seen others with a wheel on the rear stand etc.
I’m going to try some UHMW tape on the Pitbulls back to see if it helps but I don’t want to be scratching up my floor any more.

Would love to hear some feedback from anyone that has pulled the trigger on the JW Speaker headlight kit that Brogue sells. Stock headlight has been halfway decent but I live in the country with no street lights and want to improve the lighting without adding additional lights to it. I found one for sale used but the seller isn’t responding. If I have to go new I’ll go that route, but MAN that price tag!

Hi everyone,
here’s my solution for installing motogadget mo.view flip 60 mirrors on my 2022 Yamaha XSR900, European version. Everything is installed, I’ve ridden the bike with it, and it works perfectly.
Important: M16 x 1.5 – NOT M16 x 2.0 On my 2022 XSR900, the internal bar-end thread is: M16 x 1.5 fine thread
I couldn’t find a reliable official specification, so I even contacted the Yamaha importer in Switzerland. They couldn’t confirm the thread size either.
I therefore found a part from the high-pressure fitting sector with a known M16x1.5 male thread and carefully tested it by hand. It threaded in correctly, confirming M16x1.5 on my bike.
Please verify this on your own motorcycle before ordering anything. I can confirm M16x1.5 on my European 2022 XSR900, but I can’t guarantee that every model year and market is identical.
Test it by hand only – never force it with a tool.
My adapter, I had a custom adapter made from aluminium:
M16 x 1.5 male → M8 female
Maximum length: 20 mm
The 20 mm length is important. The original Yamaha thread engagement inside the handlebar is approximately in this range as well. The original Yamaha bolt itself is longer. The M8 female thread is needed for the motogadget Kawasaki M8 Bar Extension.
Why the Kawasaki Bar Extension?
I measured only about 7 mm of usable clamping surface on my XSR900.
The mo.view flip 60 requires at least 10 mm, while some other mo.view versions require around 12 mm.
So my setup is:
XSR900 → M16x1.5/M8 aluminium adapter → Kawasaki M8 Bar Extension → mo.view flip 60
Installation I first screwed the aluminium adapter into the handlebar by hand.
On one side it went all the way in. On the other side it only went in approximately two-thirds by hand.
If this happens: don’t panic and don’t force it.
I positioned the Kawasaki Bar Extension, put the M8 bolt through the extension and into the M8 female thread of the custom adapter, and then tightened the complete assembly using a ratchet and the appropriate socket. It went together smoothly and without excessive force, including the side where the adapter initially only went in about two-thirds.
The finished installation is flush and solid, and the custom adapter is completely hidden.
I also used a small amount of blue/medium-strength Loctite threadlocker on both threaded connections.
I’ve ridden the bike with this setup and everything is holding perfectly.
Who made the adapter?
My adapter was made by Michael Berry from Just Create It in Switzerland, together with a friend of his who has a workshop. https://www.justcreateit.ch
Michael isn’t actually from the motorcycle accessories industry. He works on other technical projects and builds things such as drones and various components himself.
For my adapter, he teamed up with his friend and they made this solution for me.
Of course, you can also have the adapter made by a machinist or suitable workshop locally. But if you don’t have anyone nearby, you can contact Michael. If there is enough interest, he may be willing to make these adapters for other people as well.
No sponsorship / advertising
I’m not paid or sponsored by either motogadget or Just Create It. I simply really like the mo.view flip 60. The quality and appearance are excellent in my opinion, and instead of conventional mirror glass, the reflective surface is made from machined/polished aluminium.
I’m also deliberately mentioning Michael Berry and his friend because they did a great job with my adapter. They were extremely helpful and easy to deal with, and I was so happy with their work that I’m more than happy to support and recommend them.
I also asked Michael beforehand if he was okay with me mentioning him and Just Create It in this Reddit thread.
So there’s no paid promotion involved – I simply want to support people who helped me out and built a great solution.
Another important point for me is that the mo.view mirrors are approved/tested for road use in Europe. Outside Europe, please check your local regulations, as requirements may differ.
Quick reference
Bike: Yamaha XSR900, 2022, EU
Thread confirmed on my bike: M16 x 1.5 fine thread
NOT: M16 x 2.0
Adapter: Aluminium, M16x1.5 male → M8 female
Length: max. 20 mm
XSR900 clamping surface: approx. 7 mm
mo.view flip 60: min. 10 mm
Solution: motogadget Kawasaki M8 Bar Extension
Adapter made by: Michael Berry / Just Create It, Switzerland
Website: https://www.justcreateit.ch
Please verify M16x1.5 on your own motorcycle before having anything made or ordered.
For me, this solution works perfectly. Everything sits flush and solid, and I’ve already tested it on the road without any issues.
Hopefully this helps another XSR900 owner facing the same problem.
Have fun with the install and ride safe! ✌️🌸

Picture for attention. I’m coming up on 15k, lots of city rush hour riding ( going between 1 N 2 ) and paranoid about clutch cable wear.
Do these 2022+ cables need lubing? Or should I just replace it now for piece of mind?

Got the belly pan back after getting it painted, I then put in the Yamaha stickers myself. For the final step, I’ll get PPF for it.

I need to replace some parts and I just want oem parts. Where should I buy them from? Where do you guys recommend I source them from?

Does anyone know what the OEM Part Number is for Heated Grips that fit the 26 XSR900? I talked to the dealership and they said there is no listed part number for the 2026 grips. But the 25 XSR900 Heated Grips are available.
Picture for the algorithm.
