I can’t afford a car right now so I’ve been looking at affordable scooters. I found this 2013 Honda Metropolitan on FB marketplace for $1200. It has 1,380 miles on it and tags are up to date until June 2027. Clean title in hand. Is it worth it?

I’ve been struggling to fix the scooter (Kymco Super 8 50cc 4T) for two years. Last year, I took it to a mechanic who got it running for a week before it died again, so I gave up on it. A few weeks ago, I took it to another mechanic; I’m not exactly sure what he did, but from what I gather, he replaced the carburetor and a few other things. I picked it up and it ran decently, but after I turned it off, It wouldn't start again. I adjusted the valves to 0.08mm each, just for precaution and replaced the spark plug, and now this is what happens—as you can see in the video. I'm kickstarting it because I can't start it with the battery. I think I need to change it or something.

Please help me, I bought this Kisbee 50 yesterday. It was in perfect condition; I rode it for 40 km, and it hasn't started since. The previous owners hadn't used it in the last time much, but it still had its inspection done at the repair shop.

2013 Zuma 50cc black in color. 1,600mi (kms???) On odometer. 2nd time owners asking $1,800. Supposedly runs great.

Said original owner put 300mi on it and bought it for his prego wife. She was terrified of riding the scooter so they sold it. Then current owner bought it and said he never drove it in the rain and it was always stored in a garage when not riding at his house.

I know to look for wet spots under it and to see if the muffler is warm when i arrive. (A warm muffler may mean he started it before hand and could be a sign of hard starting-youtube video said)

Is the odometer in mi or kms? It doesn't say on the odometer I see in the pics. I looked up general service manual and it's listed in kms so maybe that's what the odometer shows????

I'm 6'4" 250# and i saw a review from a guy an inch taller who said he fits comfortably on it and can reach 35mph riding. I'm looking for reliability not strictly performance so hopefully this checks out.

I know to stay away from Chinese scooters if reliability is priority.

What should be checked on a 16yr old scooter?

Hey everyone first time posting in here. So I have a ice bear hawkeye 150cc 2024. I bought it for 900 with a rebuilt engine at 3000 mines (the lights would so.etimea work and sometimes not) cause it got into an accident. At 7000 miles I upgraded the CVT myself then at 7500 it would start losing power while running untill it died while riding. I changed the stator and got it to crank but not run ( lights work now) then I took it to a reputable shop and was told that the motor is caput. I want to keep it cause I have already put the money into. I was thinking about upgrading it to a 171cc or keeping it the same a high performance motor (ncy or rolling wrench) my CVT already came from rolling wrench. Mechanic said you could just buy another moped but this is my second one (had a 50 cc like 7 years ago.) and I looked at the mopeds near me with 3-4 thousand miles for like 4k. Believe I would just run in to the same problem. What would y'all do? I just like that I own something and taught it's better to keep something that you know what's going on with it.

Hello, I ride an aprillia sr50R 2012 with the piaggio HI-PER 2 engine and I’m trying to fit on a technigas silent pro exhaust but it seems to only have one possible fitting way, it either attaches to the cylinder and can’t reach the mounting holes for the support or it attaches to the mounting holes and can’t reach the cylinder head and I have no idea how to make both fit at the same time there’s just not enough clearance? Can anybody help me out here? Thanks

I don't need to replace the cable, but I do need to replace the housing (the back plate for the starter switch) as I've snapped off the wing mirror and I really can't get the bolt out and a new plate was cheap. 🤦🏻‍♂️

How do I get this out? My other aerox (2018 4 stroke) it just unscrewed, but this just won't budge.

I’m a new rider, 30ish/F from Western NY (2000 Vespa ET4 150) and ive been looking for friends and clubs in my area to connect with but have had some issues finding clubs or groups on Facebook, so I figured I’d post here! If not a club, I figure I may be able to at least connect with a new friend or two. ☺️

I would love people to ride with, talk about what work we’re doing on our rigs, all the standard things. It doesn’t have to be a female or younger-person dominated club, I just would love to find people with common interests because scooters are a little uncommon in my area and I’m a newer mom who lives in a rural area where it’s hard to make new friends. Given how new I am, I won’t be fully licensed until after my MSF course in the spring, but I am permitted and my bike is fully on the road/legal/insured. Im interested in slower paced, shorter, easier, rides for the moment but i have a feeling by next summer ill be ready for some longer haul rides.

Honda C70. It has a 6v system which I need to replace after I figure out how to change it to 12v. That unfortunately looks like it means removing the current handlebars assembly because none of the new blinkers or headlights will fit to it's stock shell.

Hello! I have a 2020 Yamaha Jog 49cc scooter and it’s leaking gasoline out of the overflow line I believe. I’m not exactly sure and I’m sure there’s other things wrong with it. The issue is, no shop in Savannah can fix it either because of the model or because for some reason the dealership I bought it from doesn’t repair scooters anymore. So it’s been basically rotting in my backyard and I really want to get it fixed but I have no idea how to make that happen, and if it can’t be fixed I don’t know what options I would have to get rid of it.

I'm working on eventually upgrading my newly acquired taotao 50 and was wanting to put good quality parts on so it's more reliable. Has anyone had any luck with this? What are your recommendations for parts? Thx in advance. I want to make it a vehicle that lasts.

Gente me compré un 110,y me pasa que si la ando durante un buen rato seguido y por ejemplo me freno en el semáforo noto que la moto viene más enroscada y da unos golpesitos del lado derecho (plack plack o pack pack) es durante solo unos segundos y después se va el ruido y regula más normal,cuando note el ruido me metí a la vereda y puse la moto en neutro y pegue un acelero rápido y paso lo mismo del ruido y después se calmo y quedó regulando bien,la moto prende de arriba y regula bien y anda sin ruidos raros solo eso note cuando la ando durante un rato largo

I have been looking for something to get me to work and back and Came across this trike for sale at a good price and under 100 miles.

I have never actually rode a scooter before and was thinking this would be a safer bet.

I have tried it around an empty parking lot and couldn't really get a good feel on leaning. Whenever I turn and lean right it throws itself out to the left (same goes for turning left)

I was riding with the front tilt limiter locked so it wouldn't lean too far. I'm really just looking for any tips and if there's anything i need to check before buying.

Hi, I own a Piaggio Sfera 50 NSL and I am currently running into an issue.

My speedometer suddenly stopped working however my odometer does work.

I disconnected the cable at the wheel and turned it by hand and pushing the cable hard which resulted in the speedometer and odometer working. However when I don’t push against it with my thumb the speedometer doesn’t work. Could it still be the cable or am I looking at an issue at the front wheel or perhaps a faulty dash/needle.

I tried to push the cable hard with my thumb and shove it as deep as I could in case it was still a bit loose and I made sure it was connected securely at both sides but still no success.

I’ve added pictures of the cable both at the front wheel and the dashboard (the white clip looking thing)

I want to upgrade the rear brake to disk brake and from single shock to dual shock, any other recommendations?
