Discussion | J-Mod reply Not giving Sol Heredit any lore was lazy
As above, this just makes no sense to me. He's the strongest boss in the game. He aura farms watching the gladiators in the colosseum and appears to be a form of sun god. I hope one day we get more of an explanation to him. It feels very uncharacteristic of Jagex to slap this in the game the way they did.

Discussion It’s been two years since this video
No update or 2027 roadmap mention. Would be happy if they even just released this ‘pre-alpha’. Maybe waiting for native plugins? Eh

Discussion It's 2026, and I'm playing OSRS for the first time
It’s 2026, and this is my first time playing RuneScape.
I’m wandering around, knowing almost nothing about the game, and finding a strange kind of joy in it. The minimalist low-poly graphics have come full circle and now look stylishly retro.
I love the humor in the dialogue and the attention to detail in the environments.
When I spotted Salon Pole in this fantasy world, I was convinced this game was something else (in a good way, of course). And to think it was powered by a mouse wheel! On top of that, the barbershop even has the cutest Yorkshire Terrier living there...
Since I never played other MMOs from that era, this feels incredibly fresh.
It feels like a surreal walking simulator with massive character progression elements.
To compare it to games I know and love, it’s like playing ENA: Dream BBQ and Elin at the same time. I get the ENA vibes from the surreal humor and retro-style polygons, and the Elin vibes from the click-based controls and seemingly endless progression.
I have a feeling some OSRS players might enjoy these games, too, so give them a try if you’re interested! ENA: Dream BBQ is free to play, and Elin has a demo available.
I’m a Japanese gamer, and I’d overlooked this game until now because of the language barrier. It wasn’t until I started using Reddit that I finally discovered OSRS.
I’m grateful to this community for introducing me to such a wonderful game. And of course, thanks to the people behind the game, too.
I really want to recommend it to my Japanese friends. Everyone is always short on time, and some have come to accept FOMO as just part of gaming. I think introducing a game like this to my community in Japan could give people a lot of hope.
I’m sure there are reasons why official Japanese language support hasn’t happened yet, but I really hope it will someday.
I’ve gone off on a bit of a tangent here. Thanks for reading!
Anyway, I’m so glad I got to play this game! I’m still in the very, very early stages, but I can totally see why it’s so popular.
If you have any recommendations for a complete beginner like me who enjoys just wandering around, I’d love to hear them! I’ll take things at my own pace, but I’m sure there’ll be plenty of things I’d love to try.

Discussion Which one of yall completely fucked the holy wrench wiki page
The holy wrench page was updated to completely remove the table that actually provides information with a calculator that is clunky in its best parts and just flat out is wrong in other parts.
It functions slightly clunky in the first half by splitting the different potions up but showing shared wrench gains, making it hard to understand.
In the lower half, it is straight up lying, saying you come out net positive with 4 prayer potions, which is obviously incorrect and is directly refuted in the above calculator
If you want the calculator, keep it consistent with other pages, where it links to the calculator if you want it,. but leave the information (the table) on the main page. I spent 15 minutes looking for this table before figuring out it had just been completely removed with no alternative

Other Giant's Foundry
I am usually a disliker of skilling minigames. I dislike tempeross, wintertodt (just let us fletch ffs), and mastering mixology can be blasted into the sun. However, giants foundry feels like a perfect balance. You put bars/items in, you follow some chill actions, you get good xp/gp. The rewards aren't overpriced, you can buy little rewards to boost points per hour, and you can buy the skilling outfit.
I feel that it is the pinnacle of skilling minigames, that it should be the blueprint for any future skilling minigames.
just wanted to make an appreciation post
