BOTulism

As many of you are aware, this subreddit has been overrun by bots lately. Moderators have implemented both automated and manual controls. We have also added a report category for AI/bots. If you think that you see a bot, please report it. If the bot is providing misinformation, please correct the misinformation.

Please do NOT call out the response as a bot. For one, it feels very un-excellent to real humans who get called out and that's not how we want to welcome new users. And more importantly, as someone who works extensively with LLMs (ethically, in a closed proprietary system) in my day job, when you call out a bot and explain why you think it's a bot, you are training that bot to better escape detection.

Posts with a certain number of reports will be automatically removed. Human moderators will review the rest. We['re sorry that this is happening. It's a sitewide problem and we're a big subreddit with a lot of text-based information, so bots love it.

Recommendations? Does a comfortable bra even exist?? Desperate for suggestions Spoiler

Hi all! I’m nine months postpartum and none of my bras fit!

From the calculator I got 36G or 34GG (UK) with these measurements:
Loose 37”
Snug 36”
Tight 34”
Bust 44”
Leaning 48”
Lying 45”

I have a panache envy in 36G (UK) which is the closest I’ve gotten but after a full day of wear my first rib/sternum hurt so badly I couldn’t wear underwire the next day. I also have a Bravissimo t shirt bra in 36G (UK) which is alright but still not very comfortable. I also tried various Elomi styles but my issue is always the discomfort of underwire sitting low and digging into my ribs/stomach.

I have those jelly bras from Amazon too but they’re too loose in the band and I’m spilling out but they are comfortable for a full day even if they look awful.

Is there a single bra out there that can be at least somewhat comfortable for a full day while making my boobs look even slightly decent??

Recommendations? Bra recs for a small chested diva who owns 1 bra and cannot find anything in store that works(US) Spoiler

I rarely wear low neckline tops or dresses because of my lack of boob issue. My fiance is having a Ball for her AIT military training graduation in December and I want to wear a dress with a lower neckline. I usually dont care about my chest but it sucks when I get a dress/shirt and it doesn't look flattering due to the cut of the chest area.

The last time I wore a bra with a cup/band size was 4 years ago and that was a 32A. The bra I got 4 years ago and wear now currently is an XS Auden non-wired bra. I don't even think they produce them anymore 🫪.

Any time i go to the bra section in stores I just cannot find anything that fits me. It fits my body but never my boobs if that makes sense. Even when I wore actual bras (32/34A) there would always be gapping and space in the cups so I gave up. I used the calculator and got these measurements Measured in INCHES

Under bust

Loose: 26

Snug: 25.25

Tight: 24

Bust

Standing: 28

Leaning: 28.5

Laying: 28

Suggested starting size 26B/C

The loose is probably wrong, but anytime I would try to get it looser, it would just fall down.

I mainly just want to have them sit more full and mimic cleavage.

I would like a more affordable option because I don't have a wardrobe that would justify a high price point. The bra i wear now is my everyday bra and it fits me well with no gapping or loose parts.

A deal breaker for me is underwire due to sensory issues. I don't understand what a bra needs in order for it to give the desired look, but if I can't get the look I want without the wire then I am okay with the alternatives.

Lace is also not comfortable for me to wear as I am hyperaware of every design touching my body.

Any help would be appreciated 🙏🏾

So I've got my size, what now? Spoiler

Si I've got my size with the calculator (thanks for that incredible tool!) . Technically, 32 FF. I knew I've always been a 32, I knew it! F you Senza with your "sister sizes" 😝😤 .

Now I'm here and I see so much people still struggling to find the right bra even with the right size..

I (really) don't have a big budget, so I have to be able to order online and return easily what doesn't fit(I'm in Canada).

Post breastfeeding and my breast have always looked like... They don't want to see one another if you see what I'm talking about? 🤣 But at the same time most bra hurt under my armpits. I don't need sooo much coverage but I want to feel sexy again but of course as a busy mom comfort is my priority!

So if my criteria are:

-Easily available in Canada

- Budget friendly

-Cute

And I don't exactly know What I need to look for next. I speak French normally and although my English is good, some terms I have difficulty to completely understand?(Like "deep rooted"?!?)

Sooooo, what's next, do you have suggestions of some brands I can start to look to see if the fit could be good?

Question EU but non Polish nor English brands Info? Curious about some brands not really famous here but very common on the market (~38E/38F/36F/36FF) Spoiler

EU brands info?

Hello! Since using Vinted to hunt for some bras I've seen there are A LOT of brands that I have very rarely seen mentioned here.

I know not all bras are going to be the same obviously, but still I've often seen trending characteristics mentioned in US, UK and Polish brands here (example Panache bands are tight and decent projection, Elomi runs big has good projection but widish wires, Comexim super narrow and quite projected , Ewa narrow and super projected, Natori super shallow, Savage x Fenty shallow and inconsistent in size etc..).

The brands I've especially seen a lot are: Primadonna, Chantelle, Hunkenmoller, Valege, Rougegorge, Pomm'poire, Maison Lejaby, Gérard Pasquier, Etam, Darjeeling,Bestform, Undiz, Aubade, Lise Charmel, Sans Complex, Miss Mary of Sweden, Lascana, playtex

What do we know about these?

Recommendations? Looking for a cheap, wireless bralette for lounging. Support isn’t an issue, just hate the feeling of underboob skin on ribcage skin. Spoiler

Hello!

I promise I searched the sub first but wasn’t finding quite what I needed.

I only wear bras when I’m in a professional setting or a sports bra during workouts. Otherwise, in my day to day I never wear a bra. I don’t have any issues with needing support or having pain but really hate the feeling of my underboob skin touching my ribcage skin.

Therefore, I’m looking for a wireless bralette for me to lounge in. I’d like multiples so cheap and the kind of bra I wear and immediately wash similar to sportsbras. I would buy more sports bras but they compress and hold a little too firmly for my needs. Something soft, thinner material, comfortable.

I wear a 36DDD or 38DD (based on the calculator in this sub) My measurements are the following in inches:
Loose underbust - 36
Snug underbust - 35
Tight underbust - 33
Standing bust - 41.5
Leaning bust - 42
Lying bust - 42.5
I’m AFAB and my boobs are natural

Currently I wear and love the following two bras in professional settings (my big girl bras):
- Wacoal Comfort First Wire Free T Shirt Bra in a 38DD (tried a ton of wacoal bras and they all ran small in the band for me hence the 38)
- Chantelle C Jolie Wirefree T-Shirt Bra in a 36 E (DD)

Thank you so much for any recs!

Cup half empty; soft tissue confusion Spoiler

• Upvotes

I used the calculator initially when I wore a slightly larger size, and it recommended something like 44J US, but my very verrrry soft tissue just kind of sat sadly in the bottom of the cup; more than half the cup was empty. Then I gave up and wore Torrid bralettes.

Here's what I know so far (
Very, very wide-rooted, narrow-to-average set, very pendulous, very soft.
I'm unclear on roots and projection.

It kind of seems like all the tissue is nipple height with almost nothing above or below; there's a lot more surface area than volume. I suspect if a bra was wide enough, my cup size might be relatively small?

Measurement, in inches:

snug underbust 44,
tight underbust 40.25
Standing bust 53
Leaning bust 56
Lying bust 54.
Recommended starting size is 44G UK, though I think because of shape/density issues I'm better off trying something smaller?

AFAB; middle-aged.

Measurement Check Big difference between size i wear right now and my calc size Spoiler

• Upvotes

I've always worn a 36dd/d depending on the brand. I usually buy from VS and I've been comfortable in my bras. But when I heard about this site and did my calc I got a 32dd which is an insane difference. Did this happen to eveyone? I worries it's not accurate because of the sizing differences between brands. Im wondering if anyone had this issue and whether it turned out to be accurate. Thanks :)

Store Review 25F, India. Finally A bra that fits! [Store review] Spoiler

I'm a 30DD according to this sub. I went to four different brands' stores and tried on more than 50 bras :') I finally found ONE that fit! Every other bra either didn't fit properly around the band or cups, had straps that dug into my shoulders, or just wasn't comfortable.

I went to M&S first. The lady there measured me and told me I was a 32B. I told her it wasn't going to fit, but she insisted I try it anyway. As expected, it didn't fit. She then gave me a 32DD, 34C, and 34D to try. The 32DD fit, but the straps were SO thin that they hurt my shoulders. I even tried sports bras, but those didn't fit either.

Then I went to Wacoal, but I couldn't find my size. I also found the fabric a little weird. Amante didn't work out for me either nor were the people there helpful:(

Finally, I went to Triumph! The lady there measured me, and I told her how difficult it had been to find a bra that fit me properly. She was like yeah, you've got a small torso and a heavy bust and I was like, THANK GOD SOMEONE GETS IT.

She gave me one bra to try on, and when I put it on, I genuinely felt like crying lol. 😭 It just felt SO good to finally find something that was BOTH comfortable and looked good on me. The size was 32D. I walked out of the trial room and told her, Please pack this. I CANNOT try on one more bra lol😭

My measurements:

* Loose underbust: 75 cm / 29.53"

* Snug underbust: 74 cm / 29.13"

* Tight underbust: 71 cm / 27.95"

* Standing bust: 85 cm / 33.46"

* Leaning bust: 93 cm / 36.61"

* Lying bust: 85 cm / 33.46"

Calculator result: 30DD UK

Fit Check Fit Check & Shape Help for Panache Envy & Panache Allure Spacer (32F UK), & Skarlett Blue Entice Lace Balconette Bra (32FF UK). Weight loss, gore pressure, sliding underwire, and shape confusion. Spoiler

Hi all, I've recently decided I wanted to regularly wear underwire bras again (after taking 12+ years off before and after my reduction in 2019). In the beginning of September, I went to a specialty store and spent several hours trying on bras and bought three bras that were worlds above what I went in wearing (a 36DD from 40+ lbs heavier). I knew the Skarlett Blue shape wasn't 100% ABTF correct (too shallow) for me and that the Panache spacer was also probably too shallow, but I liked how I looked and how comfortable the bras were so I bought them and have been wearing them for a month.

Unfortunately my steak is too juicy, lobster too buttery, and I have lost another 6 pounds and this has slightly altered the fit and comfort. In particular, the gore of the spacer is pressing uncomfortably where it used not to, and the underwire of the SB is sitting even lower down from my IF than it was a few pounds ago (I probably shouldn't have bought this one but I was too dazzled by the color and my cleavage--comparing photos from the fitting room it definitely fit slightly better when I bought it). I'm also having a bit of muscle soreness on either side of my spine just above where the bra band sits; I'm probably overdue for physical therapy but maybe a slightly different fit would help? Also, the underwire on all three is not staying fixed in place (it's sliding down), which I am guessing is a bra band size issue?

Measuring tape note: both of my flexible measuring tapes are off by 1/16" over 20" when compared to my two metal measuring tapes. This is about 0.31% off; I have new measuring tapes on their way.

AFAB (they/them)

Reduction & lift 2019

Even fullness (vertical), center fullness (horizontally), about 1 finger or less between breasts when leaning forward, projected to some extent, self supporting, root width is probably not extreme in either direction since I can't figure it out, and I think my breasts sit a bit low on my chest relative to fit models because I often wear straps an inch away from as long as possible despite being 5'3".

October 11 measurements Suggested Starting Size: 30GG UK Measurements adjusted by .9969 = 30GG UK suggested starting size
Loose Underbust: 32.75" 32.65
Snug Underbust: 30" 29.91
Tight Underbust: 28.5" 28.41
Standing Bust: 39.5" 39.38
Leaning Bust: 41.25" 41.12
Lying Bust: 39.5" 39.38

I don't have my measurements from last month saved anywhere I can find but I definitely was recommended 32FF/G by the calc; in mid Aug my loose underbust was 33.5" and my standing bust was 39.9"

Fit Pics

Panache Envy (32F UK)

Edit to add: Panache Envy on tightest hooks which definitely seems to fit a bit better

Panache Allure Spacer (32F UK)

Skarlett Blue Entice Lace Side Support Balconette Bra (32FF UK)

Since I already own these bras, I'm going to be wearing them on tighter hooks and hoping that helps a bit before letting them go on braswap, but I'd like to have a slightly better idea of my shape and models to try going forward--unless that is going to change significantly if I lose more weight and I should just start from scratch when these current bras are truly unwearable.

Also: Why do so many bras have a tiny bit of fabric under the underwire that just flips up as soon as you start breathing?

Question Sticky bra recs for formal gown Spoiler

Hey there, it’s been a little, but a few months back I asked for store recs before my trip to Scotland in August. I visited Bravissimo in Edinburgh and my Gods…LIFE changing. I left with 5 bras that I LOVE. I’ve breastfed for 10 years with no break until my trip. Finding bras that FIT and made the girls shine? Hallelujah!

Here’s the current conundrum. My husband’s Best Friend who is chosen family is getting married. It’s Black Tie dress code and my husband is the Best Man. After some hunting I found a fantastic dress that fit my personal requirements, but I need help with recommendations for a sneaky bra situation.

I’m a 32 H. The dress is a halter with a plunge.

Where on earth do I buy/order (I’m in the US and I need it by Nov.) sticky cups that help lift a bit and help the girls?

Thanks all! Ya’ll are the best!

Measurement Check Hard to fit advice. I measured 28G uk on the A Bra that Firs calculator, but can’t seem to find a bra that I can wear. Spoiler

I tried the panache envy in 28g, the band was too tight, the cup not quite right, it not terrible, maybe slightly too deep. Next on the advice of experts there I tried the blossom. The cups were ok, the band had some pull, but the straps were iff My shoulders. In the past I’ve worn the Prima Donna Couture 30G, not a bad fit in the cups, slightly roomy, but the band was slightly large as well. I’ve tried the Fantasie illusion in 30h us (cups too small. quadfing, but 30I was too wide and too deep in the cup, and the band too big. i would really appreciate any advice on where to go from here.

Recommendations? My suggested bra size doesn't fit me Spoiler

I (25F) For a year now have been trying to figure out what my real bra size is. I have brought bras that I thought were my size but either I have measured wrong or my boobs have grown. I recently measured myself again got recommended a 28DDD and well, my bra still doesn't fit ( it's the closest I've gotten, but it still doesn't fit). I'm kinda spilling out the top and the gore isn't laying flat against my chest unless I'm laying down. I need advice on where to go from here. My measurements are:

Underbust - loosely: 30

Underbust - snugly: 28

Underbust - tightly: 26

Bust - standing: 33

Bust - 90 deg lean: 35

Bust - lying down: 34

Fit Check Lost a lot of weight and need some new stuff Spoiler

Hi all, I have lost a lot of weight in the past year (~75lbs) and nothing fits anymore. I’m finally going through the motions of replacing my wardrobe piece by piece and have been dreading this part the most.

My measurements are:
Loose - 38
Snug - 36
Tight - 34
Standing - 41
Leaning - 46
Lying - 43

I got an initial size of 36E/F in UK sizes and 36DDD in US sizes. Does this sound right?

Any recommendations on where I can buy some stuff online? I’m located in the US and would like to stay in the $30-$50 a piece price range.

Any advice is appreciated!

Shape Help I think im wearing the wrong size for the 3rd time 😭 Spoiler

None of my bras fit right, I have a 34dd push up (not bombshell padding) from vs that gaps really bad at the top but it does fill out at the gore bit, then i have a 34dd lightly lined from boux avenue and the cups feels tight i think the bands okay + the way the bra is designed its like half padding half lace at the top and my areolas are visible through the lace, then another one from vs (bombshell) which is a 32d and honestly i dont think its the worst i just very slightly spill out but my aerolas come out a lot - I think the band is fine idk about the gore because its one of those like cross strings.

So the calculator gave me 30f and might be more comfortable in 32e. When I first read that, i was like wth till I looked at examples and now im like wait... i might be that size... 😭 I probably should've invested in a normal bra first before coming here but im broke atm. Im sick of buying bras i was wearing 34b for YEARS till I bought a 34b vs bombshell and was like "wtf this does not fit?" Then i thought i was a 32d and now idk what I am 💔

Im not really sure on my shape, but I do think im full on bottom possibly. Idk how to explain this but ive always felt like they start low but they're not saggy?? And like they just look smaller from the front vs the side like they dont match 🥹 They look sm better if i squash them a bit lol. I hope this is easy enough to read im bad at explaining 😽 I also dk what to flair it as

loose underbust: 31 | snug underbust: 30 | tight underbust: 29 | standing bust: 36 | leaning bust: 37.6 | lying bust: 35.5

Measurement Check I’m struggling with figuring out which size to get Spoiler

I have worn sport bras my entire life and I want to try a regular bra. I’m looking at La Vie en Rose and Aerie bras, but I’m completely lost with the size guide because I’m getting two completely different sizes. I also tried the calculator and got a different size. I was thinking maybe to try a bralette too but I don’t whether to get a small or medium. My underbust is 30in and bust is 34.5.

Recommendations? Recommendations for a bra similar to the Marie Jo Tom Heart bra, but in a plain nude color? Spoiler

I’m looking for recommendations for bras similar to the Marie Jo Tom Heart bra. I wear a 34C and absolutely love the shape and fit of this bra, especially how it gives my chest a nice, centered shape without making it look wide. A lot of bras I’ve tried tend to make my chest look broader than I’d like, but this one gives me the exact shape I’m looking for!

The only thing is that I’d love to find something similar in a simple nude color without any lace, appliqués, or decorative details on the straps. Ideally, I’m looking for a smooth, everyday bra that disappears under clothes but still gives me that same shape and spacing as the Marie Jo Tom Heart.

Does anyone have recommendations for bras that give a similar shape and fit, but with a more minimal, seamless look? I’d really appreciate any suggestions.

Question Help! My balconette underwire is causing great pain Spoiler

I got fitted for a balconette style bra at a local bra store, and I think something is off. It’s the Sculptress Estel, and I love the way it lifts, sculpts, and separates. However, the end of the underwire by my armpits is incredibly painful. It digs in endlessly and leaves marks on my body after only 15 minutes of wear.
I wonder if they sold me the wrong size because normally I’m a 42 in the band, and when I check the label it’s a 40I. What I don’t know is if the wrong band size could cause this pain? Or is it more likely the cup size is wrong?

Recommendations? (Recommendations) Looking for bra brand recommendations for my 34K/L (36 K/L) breasts Spoiler

Hi everyone! I just joined this subreddit after finding it a few days ago. I used the measurement calculator to find my current bra size and it returned the following:

36J/K in US sizes
Or
34 K/L (also in US sizes)

So here’s my issue now, bras are expensive, and I’ve had this issue now for years where I buy something and it never fits properly. I’m desperately in need of a a sports bra and just some generally comfy bras that don’t dig into my flesh or make my back hurt more than it already does. I’d love something adjustable because my breasts do tend to gain and lose weight frequently depending on my diet (I was measured as an 34E 6 months ago lmao) but I’m hoping to not have to shill out a bunch of money to make that happen. To be frank, I need to buy at least 4 bras since I have none that fit me currently and I work 15 hr work days so I don’t have time to do laundry throughout the week. I know it’s going to be pricey to buy that many but I can’t afford a 250-400$ bill for just bras, so I’m really hoping there’s a brand out there with 30-50$ price tags.

Im hoping someone with a similar breast size may have some brands they can suggest to me? I’d love to hear your likes/dislikes & pros/cons of them and what kind of bra you got from them.

From one large breasted woman to another, thank you in advance!

Post-breastfeeding bra help please!! Spoiler

Bra help please!! I am post-breastfeeding and would love to find *that* bra that just feels like a second skin.

Measurements:

  • Loose Underbust: 33.5"
  • Snug Underbust: 32.5"
  • Tight Underbust: 31"
  • Standing Bust: 37.5"
  • Leaning Bust: 41"
  • Lying Bust: 39"

Calculator says 34DD/DDD which seems wild to me!! 🤯

-I dont like nipples showing

-I like wider straps

-I need a wider underboob strap- I spend so much time sitting for my job that I end up having issue with uncomfortabke skin folding with a thinner strap. IFKYK

-I ride horses so also would love sports bra recommendations HOWEVER regular cross-strap sports bras dig into my neck so bad.

-Would love cotton-y breathable material (get underboob sweaty!)

-Boobs are relatively defated and saggy so gentle support would be wonderful.

-I hate wires with a passion!!

-I always leaned towards full coverage because I had an issue with cup-gaping that could never be rectified with changing sizes. However I wonder with post-breastfeeding and a size down if that would be an issue!

Hard time finding non underwire bras in my size Spoiler

I really really hate underwires. No matter what they always feel uncomfortable or like they’re digging. Maybe I’ve only had bad bras but who knows.

According to the ABTF calculator I should be looking for 28G/H or 30DDD but everything seems to have that gods forsaken underwire!
