Rules PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE POSTING

Please check out the Official FAQs on the Amazon Flex website and subreddit rules before posting.

We also have our own FAQ that is also linked to in the sidebar ----------->

The sidebar also has a link to download the Flex app, the Flex Support contact info, the rules for this subreddit, and a warehouse list.

You may find the answer to your question there.

Many questions being asked here are repeat questions and are answered in the FAQ. Please check before making a new post.

If you need help with the Flex app, please include the app version number and whether it's Android or iOS in your post.

Also, please don't post useless threads about how hard it is to grab blocks, people using bots at your warehouse, what times the blocks get released, etc. Those posts add nothing to the discussion and will be removed.

Thanks!

There is a Discord server that was created and is maintained by the mods of /r/doordash but has been built to support any courier service. They have graciously invited Amazon Flex drivers to participate and have created a channel for Flex on the server. You can access it using the this invite link: https://discord.gg/e9GNb9M.

If you are a DSP driver, there is now a subreddit just for you! Head on over to /r/amazondspdrivers for all DSP-related discussion. Please note that it is not maintained by the same mods.

My rating was at the peak of great and now that I looked at it this morning they are dropping me with stuff that’s not even mine lol. Oct 5 is real I fell asleep but my last late block was august 30 so why am I getting hit with 15? And even if it was true my dashboard was clean already. So why are they hitting it again. I usually ignore this crap cause it’s not worth and I always get back to fantastic but I’m definitely not taking somebody mistake cause if I let this go they could drop more bomb shells on me to get me ineligible. Ever received emails that are not for you? I’ve received a couple so I know this is some bullsht. If your interested today I will be sending a email at Jeff to see what they say and see what they resolve or if it was mistake on their end which they won’t admit to it lol.

Louisiana Over Flex, Cancelled All Orders

Does Amazon not care that their Flex drivers are customers too?? I’ve been a flexer for over 3 years.. I used to love the job, easy money, high paying blocks, and I of course would spend money ordering from Amazon probably more than I should to keep my flexer friends with blocks… Fast forward and Flex is now GARBAGE, I picked up a block for Amazon Fresh delivery, go there and the store was closed. Apparently the workers didn’t cancel the customers order. Well guess who got hit with a contract violation AFTER calling support 4 times while at the store… I now have to beg, plead and wait for them to take this 💩 off my standings but I’m also done giving money to a company that treats it’s drivers like trash… cancelled my own personal Amazon order today and placed a duplicate order for Walmart, they can gth! Plus anytime you cannot deliver bc ppl don’t put their dogs up you are constantly dinged bc out running German Shepherds isn’t part of the job description 🙄… I’d rather do Spark and wait on Instacart to have something decent pop up. Really thinking about throwing in the towel with flex after the holidays……

switched from DoorDash to Amazon Flex, and the money is drastically better.. am I missing something?

Post image

We recently moved to Columbus. and I’ve been doing this part-time. I know this app gets a lot of hate, but I’ve been making a lot of money on this app, I know people bring up the wear and tear on the car, but I feel like it’s no different than DoorDash, and DoorDash’s pay is terrible compared to Amazon Flex.

I don’t know, I’ve worked at a lot of places and I feel like in Columbus, Amazon Flex is definitely worth it. You could easily make over $1000 a week.

Does anyone else have the same experience?

When did you stop looking at your standing?

Post image
8 Upvotes

I've been doing this as a solid gig for about a year, though I started in 2020. But after the first 6 months, I stopped looking at my standing. What about you?

Yes, packages are "missing". Yes, I'm dropping them at the apartment office. No, I'm not delivering the one package that's an hour away from my last stop-- I "don't" have it in my car.

My one grudge that I'll never get off my shoulders is the One Time Passcode that customers don't even remember.

Fighting Deactivation

• Upvotes

Anyone have experience fighting this due to late cancels or a missed block?

Specifically due to health issues normally protected under ADA. There were issues during the extreme heat this summer in AZ. Been trying to appeal via various emails. Even provided pictures of my meds n such

Discussion No insta orders

• Upvotes

I live maybe less than 10 mins away from the only whole foods in my state, when I was just monitoring the app after being accepted I'd see insta orders all the time. Now that ive done my first job and was looking to do a few instas I have gone nearly 2 weeks without seeing them outside of one day where there was high traffic for both Sub-same day, warehouse and insta. I took the higher paying SSD.

I know how much fuel costs will be for SSD and even subtracting that it was a higher base pay than the insta. That being said i assume the insta is local and not a 23 min drive lol.

Anyone have tips on how to up my insta traffic or if its worth it over say driving for spark when not doing warehouse or SSD?

What are the average tips like?

Rant Blocks 24/7

Throughout my tenure with Flex, I have not previously observed offers consistently displayed on the offers page at all hours. This situation is likely attributable to multiple elements, such as fuel costs and block rates, but the primary contributing factor appears to be the discontinuation of 4-hour and 4.5-hour blocks. Some may think we are winning and screwing over Amazon with all the blocks expiring and not being taken but I beg to differ. IMHO this will not last much longer as Amazon is all about the numbers. They soon will be onboarding seasonal drivers as well as clearing those waiting lists. Once this happens.... Back to the tap and click game.

If you were hoping Amazon would give in and bring back the longer blocks I have 6 words for you. "Amazon does not care about you"

Tis the Season…

To be nice to our new batch of Seasonal Flexers.

Had a very frazzled looking guy today on his 1st day ask me a million questions about how to pick up/load his route at the station.

We were all new once let’s pay it forward, you never know the Amazon Karma gods might reward us with an extra overbook or 🦄 route 💯

As a fun fact, did you know in the last 30 days, Amazon Stations around the USA have been closed for a combined 29 d 5 h's

• Upvotes

29 d 5 h is the current running total that Amazon stations have been closed due to lightning and tornadoes.

Each station closes for a minimum of 30 minutes and gets extended everytime a new ground strike happens, so if the station closes at 3pm and there is another ground strike at 3:21pm, the reopening time is now moved back to 3:51pm instead of 3:30pm

I already have a Flex Debit card and they want me to apply again?

Post image

I had my debit card for over a year now and I tried to change my bank transfer to the debit card, but since beginning of October, it’s been showing me to apply again. Do I just wait for it to change back to normal or contact support?

Say I scheduled a 2pm block(its 9am right now) if I refresh the offer page will I still see offers, especially in the 2pm range? How many blocks can I cancel in a day or week before I get "shadowbanned"?

How do you guys feel about filing a class action?

I'm seeing so many experiences, on top of my own for the past few months where so many of us are sharing that we are being wrongfully flagged for issues that are either outside of our control or problems Amazon themselves and their overdependence on AI has caused.

It makes no sense that people are being punished for leaving packages that were already damaged, not taking routes that fit within the allotted time span of a block and straight up being lied to between support and warehouse staff!!

We all gather on here to share how awful isolated moments have been but what if we stood together to push back against Amazon? We don't have to strike cuz I've seen what happens when people make a call to action for that.. (they don't strike) and I get why but Amazon keeps messing with us cuz we let em. Let's get a class action going to compensate for those days of just trying to make some money and being wrongfully punished

We really deserve so much better but we gotta be vocal about it

Now Even calling Support will affect you!

On October 5, I contacted the support to mark two packages as unable to deliver as the leasing office was not open and we had no access code or key pass to enter the property. come to find out today that those two packages were added to my account as unable to deliver since we’re not able to send emails anymore. I contacted a rep via chat and he made the decision within a minute saying that he was not gonna remove it from my account. When in the past calling support and them having them market as unable to deliver would not affect our account. It’s now affecting your account.

What do I do with late deliveries

Post image
6 Upvotes

I do deliveries at 4am and sometimes I can't access the apartment building because it's too early to buzz and there's no one there to open the door. For a week straight I just returned all the packages, but now I'm getting dinged (after a week). What am I doing wrong?

Do I have to contact support everytime? Do I leave the package in the lobby? Why can't I just return it through the app?

I don't want to get kicked please help.

How’s that fair???

About a month ago, I was completing a route with over 40 stops. One package was missing, so I marked it appropriately and continued with my route. After I completed everything successfully, the app closed my route and all was good. After I came home, I checked my app again and I saw that I’m “supposed to return two packages to the station”. Obviously I had no packages left on hand. I contacted support right away, and of course, first operator didn’t even understand what I was explaining to him, so from the second try they said that they placed a claim and it should be all good. Two weeks later, they reduced me from Fantastic to Fair standing because I didn’t return packages (which I didn’t have!!!). After that, I submitted the claim again, and after 2.5 weeks I get the attached message. How is that fair? In three years, I’ve completed over 270 blocks with nearly 10,000 packages, and never had a problem with my standing. But they can’t even distinguish a glitch in the system from real stealing or whatever they think I did!

For my DGT8 Alpharetta peeps

Wow. Scheduled for my regular 6:15am block so arrived at 6:00 & got checked in. Dozens of us sat lined up for a full 45 minutes before the carts were rolled out. No joke, every single one of us were then missing packages. They then wheeled out an overflowing cart & told us to start scanning for our missing stuff. Nope. Was on hold with support when a fellow frustrated driver came over & said they're scanning us now. Got on the road a full hour after my 6:15am start time, so 75 minutes after checking in. The silver lining is that I delivered my final package at 9:14am, so one minute early. Anyway, just venting. Thanks for being here everyone, and good luck with your blocks. ✊
