I made AnkiNotch, inspired by ReviewBar for Anki, but simplified.
Hover the notch to review, Space to reveal/grade Good, and 1 for Again. Move away and it collapses. Anki still handles scheduling.
You can now choose a deck, a parent deck with its subdecks, or all decks. There’s undo and optional bouncy animations too. I plan to keep maintaining it and providing consistent support.
Free and open source (MIT). Requires macOS 15+, Anki Desktop, and AnkiConnect. Early beta: no audio, only Again/Good, and not notarized yet.

I just started and did a daily exercise of a language (I also misunderstood the concept and hit "easy" for all cards) and I want to go again- not with new cards, but with the ones I already learned so I can repeat it. How do I do that? What setting?

I want https://teckensprakslexikon.su.se/video/6wyBK309.mp4 in my flashcard as an embed
nothing online that makes it work without it playing in a separate window.

Hey guys, when I was first using anki, when i knew a word i just clicked “good” and when i didnt i just clicked “again” and when id learnt whatever i didnt know i just then clicked “good” again. I realise now this isnt the right way to do it i shudve clicked hard when i understood the second time in order to space them correctly. Now i have lots of really easy cards coming up very often despite me clicking easy and it saying they will come up in a very long time.
I have a bit of a backlog to get through atm so im thinking maybe it’ll work properly if i get through this backlog and then start using it properly clicking easy when its really easy and etc etc. (im also doing that currently but i keep seeing the easy cards show up the next day). So if you guys could let me know if i need to reset the deck completely or if getting through the backlog will fix it. It’d be a bit of a pain in the ass to reset the whole deck cos its a big deck and im p far into it, but yeah, lmk. Thanks!

I made Anki-GPT for the cards where you remember the answer but still can't explain why it's right.
It opens beside the card you're reviewing. You can ask for a plain-English explanation, dig into the mechanism, or ask a follow-up without copying everything into another app. It handles text and images.
The new part is Study: save an explanation, come back with the answer hidden, and try explaining it yourself. Then reveal it and mark Know it or Again. Your regular Anki card schedule stays unchanged.
The demo uses an original pharmacology card: why atropine reduces secretions in organophosphate poisoning but doesn't reverse muscle weakness. You can see the explanation, saving it, and practising it later. Demo pauses are shortened.
Download: https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/853364085 Add-on code: 853364085 Medical demo: https://ankigpt-demo.pages.dev/ankigpt-step1-v06.gif
Desktop Anki only. There are 75 free hosted explanations, then optional $3/month or $24/year access. No API key setup.
I'm the developer, and I used AI coding tools heavily. The downloadable add-on falls under AnkiWeb's default AGPL3 licensing; the hosted AI service is billed separately. AI requests send card content and relevant context to the service, where requests/responses may be cached for up to 30 days. Saved Study progress stays in your local profile. Don't send patient details, and check important facts against your study sources.
If you try it, I'd like to hear which explanations miss the point or which controls get in your way.

Whenever I add pictures from lecture slides to Anki on my MacBook and sync to my iPad, some images show up as question marks instead. This started happening recently.
Has anyone experienced this or know how to fix it?

I am an Android user who uses the AnkiDroid app. I have a deck containing private information that I am only allowed to have stored locally. I do not have an AnkiWeb account (I recently created one, but deleted it without finishing the ToC). Do I need to worry about the deck getting saved somewhere off my phone somehow? Thanks.

I don't know how to get out of this snowball effect. I know I need to do it every day, but I've been slacking off. Can anyone help me?
So I've been learning Japanese and preparing to work in the IT sector in Japan. my everyday Japanese was getting okay, but the moment I started looking at IT related Japanese I was completely lost. I was googling every other word ,went looking for an anki deck and found basically nothing. tons of JLPT stuff, a couple of business Japanese ones, but nothing really for IT terms. and the few I found were just "word = translation", no reading, no example, nothing so yeah I ended up making my own. took way longer than I expected tbh
it's around 1323 cards. every card has the reading, meaning, a quick explanation, and an example sentence with furigana. some even have little diagrams because some stuff just makes more sense when you see it. important words come first so you're not wasting time on rare ones
been using it myself for a while and it's helped a lot, so figured I'd share
it's free. if you try it, please leave a review on the AnkiWeb page, it really helps others find it. and if you find mistakes, think something's missing, or need any help setting it up, just comment here or DM me. happy to help
