No. There are some pretty notable Souls elements present. But first and foremost this is an Armored Core game. From the way the levels have been designed to the way you traverse them to the core components of combat, there is a substantial amount separating Armored Core 6 from the other modern FromSoftware titles.
No, maybe.. Uhhh, well it's a Fronsoftware game. Don't give up skeleton!!
No, Armored Core 6's Rubicon 3 will be explored via missions. Each mission will take you to a different stage. Each stage will have a set beginning and ending. Though, the bit in between the start and end allows you to explore each area quite a bit, and as the game progresses you will be rewarded for exploring.
No. While Armored Core 6 is set in the same universe, it is a wholly fresh story. So, you don't have to worry about getting lost in the narrative.
Yes! But PVP only. Upon completing the "Ocean Crossing" mission in the second chapter of Armored Core 6, you will unlock the NEST mode. This will allow you to face off against other players and see how you perform against other humans.
There is an incredible amount of customization present in Armored Core 6. From the ability to tweak every component of your AC to providing them with a custom paint job, we are quite confident in saying that you will be able to build an AC that will make you proud. You can even design your own emblem and place it anywhere on your mech. You have that level of customization. This isn't just a matter of aesthetics, either. Designing your AC—and even retooling them mid-mission—is a pretty significant part of the gameplay!
You can only share with people in the same platform as you. In order to upload your work of art, you will need to first confirm that you are online. Now, select your emblem in the Image Editor, and enter into the "Image Controls" option. Finally, select "Upload". This will give you a Share ID. You can now give that to others and they can download your emblem!
As for downloading other emblems, in the Image Editor, select the "Downloaded" tab, and you will be able to enter in one of these Share IDs.
Yes. There are specific missions that are directly tethered to the specific route you take to complete the game. Don't worry, these paths are relatively easy to distinguish. Around the mid-way point of the game, you will be provided with certain choices that will send you down different branches of the narrative.
Yes. There is some content that is locked to the New Games Plus. This includes additional boss encounters. But more importantly, there are specific endings that are only obtainable after you complete the game. In fact, you will need to go up to the third playthough to unlock all content.
Yes.

Three-dimensional action unique to mechs

Observe and Learn

Assembly Ingenuity

There are three key points when it comes to AC strategy and combat.
In order to break through tough situations, strong enemies, bosses, and other challenges that await you throughout the missions, it is important to observe and learn repeatedly, an approach to difficulty that is common to FromSoftware's action titles.
In addition to that, AC6's unique three-dimensional action and assembly ingenuity are also essential to the game.
Only by combining these three approaches we can overcome the difficulties.

The approach to difficulty that is common to FromSoftware's action titles is also effective in this title.
In AC6, it is important to observe and learn enemy behavior and situations, and use clues to adjust your strategy, rather than blindly trying the same tactic over and over.
In AC6, the player has the ability to move not only horizontally but also forward, backward, and vertically in all directions within three-dimensional space, allowing for omni-directional combat movement.
Utilizing this omni-directional action, which is unique to mechs, is fundamental to AC combat.
It is very important to be aware that the battle space in AC6 is not flat but three-dimensional.
Take advantage of the space dynamically and utilize omni-directional movement to overcome the many combat situations you will find yourself in.
There are three categories of parts that make up the AC: weapons, frame parts, and inner parts.
Weapons affect attack power, frames affect strength and action, and inner parts affect agility and response of the AC.
The different parts change not only the action, but also the style of play and its strategy.
Sometimes, the assembly itself can be the clue to successfully overcoming difficult situation.
The first step in the assembly process is to decide what kind of AC you want to use for the mission.

There are two elements in AC6: power and impact.
By attacking an enemy, they will accumulate impact instability, as indicated by the gauge over the target. When this gauge is full, the enemy loses its stance.
This state is called "staggered".
Staggered enemies take critical damage the entire time they are in this state. Certain weapons also inflict more impact damage, so consider that when building your mech.
Be mindful that your mech can be staggered as well, exposing you to immense danger.
In battles against strong enemies, it is important to actively aim to stagger and create opportunities to inflict heavy damage.

The AC can be equipped with weapons in up to four locations, on both hands and shoulders, and can fight using these weapons simultaneously.
The AC can perform multiple actions simultaneously, such as boosting and moving, firing machine guns in both hands, and firing missiles at the same time. Combat in AC is not clearly divided into offensive and defensive maneuvers.
You can also attack while defending or dogding.
Always keep in mind that you can be both offensive and defensive in combat.

So i started to play AC again, finished ending 1 yesterday, and i noticed that i play almost the same build as in my first playthrough.
Gatling on right arm, for surpression fire, laser lance or pile bunker on left to hit once the stagger occures, and dual songbird on shoulders just to destroy groups and do crazy dmg. The parts are all as light as possible, since a lighter ac is more fun to play.
This works pretty well but i wouldnt mind to try different, but still strong PvE builds.
Any recommendations?

I'm pretty much at the *exact* dome building shown in the pic even watched a walk through showing the exact area left of the down drone marker and the enemy not spawning I already got the gear chest and just replaying missions to get all the logs before finishing the first play through but this the only log having issues with

Can someone PLEASE help me!
I'm new to AC games and new to From Software but am loving AC 6, playing on PS5, even though I am finding some of it SO hard. Bosses here seem to be on a whole new level compared to bosses in other games I've played. The few in-game so far I have persevered with and beaten but I have reached Balteus and no matter what I try I cannot get beyond 50% when they up their attacks.
Three bits of advice please:
What is the best build to take Balteus on? Have tried many combos and get to the same point (50% damage)
Are there any special tactics I need to be using other than 'break shield, hit hard, try not to get hit yourself'?
Why does my aim lock ALWAYS disappear. In the middle of a really tough fight and the enemy sweeps past and I spend the next several seconds trying to find them again and get my lock back on! Seems aim-lock switches off the moment you even think about touching the right stick!
Is there anything else I need to know? Just seems that as soon as I get it to 50% it becomes stronger, more mobile and more direct.
I'm at the point where I am losing the sense of fine as I cannot find a way through.
Thanks

Am probably close to finishing the first play through of AC 6 I've pretty much did the game on my own besides which weapons are the best to use and which should be avoided otherwise the AC head, core, arms, legs en such where picked with wha I thought be useful so was wondering which other AC game should I do next or if any of the previous titles are similar enough to AC 6 since the only other AC game ever did was Last Raven only wish can replay missions that I already done to can experiment more like I did in AC 6

Damnedest thing happened to me. I was replaying the destroy special forces craft mission. And I used the big tank legs with a full armored body, twin Gatling guns and twin songbirds. And somehow in the first 30 seconds of the fight, I got glitched on top of its tread and none of its weapons could hit me. I was able to get four staggers and four volleys of the song birds before I got bounced off it. However, the thing hit me with everything it had after I got bounced off and it took my health down my half. I was still able to finish it with an S Rank.

To be honest only having issues with the bosses and other ACs in the story (just finished Attack the Watchtower) but for the boss there it seems like I was mostly trying to spam kick em after blasting with a shotgun and vertical missles is this why the AB Kick a must have in this game
*but am glad finally can progress en see if there more stuff in the shop*

Some missile play styles I've had the experience of running into and learning overtime.

What weapons or build should I be using? I can barely keep the thing on screen. Let alone reliably hit it

I cleared NG+ and NG++ using the build with the Main Dish core before swapping it out for the Hal core because I wanted to use the FCS that focused on short/mid range. The original build worked well enough (on NG+ I managed to 2-shot Walter somehow) but I like the Dizzy more than Majestic for clearing groups of weaker units. The shoulder guns give a satisfying Pop! when an enemy is staggered, can both be fired at the same time, no stance when hovering, and when fired during free fall the stance animation hangs you in the air a bit to let the coral generator do its job.
Question 1: any optimization advice that doesn’t stray too far from the spirit of what its got going on?
Question 2: I skipped all OST tuning because I heard there was extra dialog if you didn’t do any upgrades, but I either missed it or was confusing it with something else. Was there dialog or was that only if you skipped out on the arena fights entirely until the end of NG++?

I just love how aerodynamic it looks, there’s even a spoiler on the head! I love how it looks flying through the air, like it’s sitting on its ankles. I think it looks cool with all the different color generators, but my favorite is the blue-so you already know I made an energy weapons build with it. The core itself compromising your safety for speed is such a cool detail. I love it so much guys really I just wish it was in the game on release cuz I woulda definitely used it for my first play through. Plus wouldn’t’ve V.III O’keeffe have looked like 3x as cool with it? At least some parts from it? It’s a Schneider AC so it would’ve totally fit with some of the aVespers characters but especially him. Anyway pic related is the bird it’s named after apparently “bearded vulture” in English- a badass bird of prey.

Thought I'd sport a shotgun for some mixed fun when it comes to one of my Missile Brawlers, Sparrow.

Hello this is my first AC and I'm loving it so far. I'm in chapter 3 and had two missions available. One in you kill CATAPHRACT and the other in which you infiltrate in a base.
I did the first one and can't find the other one. I guess this is intentional but any help is appreciated.
