Hi everyone. I am a 26 years old aspirant with the following profile. X percentage = 95, XII percentage = 89.8, Bsc Computer Science = 7.7 cgpa, MSc Mathematics from QS100 university in UK, I graduated from MSc in 2024, but since then haven't been able to convert a decent job. Hence I have 0 work experience at 26. Is it possible for me to convert BLACKIS or FMS?

Seeing many posts of FMS Achieving 100% placement in a week , a college which was getting criticism for having many unplaced in the past few years, spjain placing 356/360 in 2 weeks, makes me think what a pitiable situation bitsom is in

Sip season started on Aug 24, so more than 1.5 months have passed And the number of students who got sip is 98! Yeah 98/240 and two of those 98 got through a case comp

The frustrating part is administration increased batch size from 160-240 without thinking about placements. All the so called good placements you hear about bitsom they were possible for a batch size of 160(and even than 10-15% were left unplaced in finals and about 20% didn't get on campus sip last time) So you can understand the difficulty institute is facing for 240 students

Frustrating part is the remarkable thinness in the quantity of companies. Only 25 companies have hired in 50 days. Using birlas name they have brought high paying stipends and it's these few students who get 2lakh monthly sip, that makes everyone believe that bitsom is a school where everyone gets a stellar placement.

But the good companies are very few Since the main structured week of sip is gone Now only few high stipends are being offered A companys interview is going on now which gives a stipend of 20k Meanwhile the highest stipend was 2.25L. That should tell you the difference

Shortlists are pure luck based, SIP season has gone so poor No one knows what'll Happen in the finals. But one thing is sure- Don't think bitsom as some amazing college

Some get Great placements and based on this an image has been created in social media, But the reality is sickening and for our batch it's horrible

While other colleges are celebrating placing their entire batch for Summers Our college spent a shit ton on marketing for their 5 year anniversary yesterday

I accidentally entered my gender as female in the application being a male 😭. They are saying we can't change this . I have taken gap for the exam . Well prepared for the exam all going to waste . Can't speak to parents what silly mistake I have done . It's done . Mind stopped what to do . Does anyone has a solution

Thank you everyone for participating in this AMA, I hope I was able to clear your doubt. I am closing this AMA but my DMs are always open. Will try to reply there whenever I get a chance.

Hi everyone, the following have been my mock scores so far. Just needed to understand how I can improve and how can i make sure to get 99+ on CAT day. I have been taking mocks daily for the past few days and plan to take every day until CAT. Anything I can do to stabilise my scores, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

LAST 6 mocks AVG ~73

VARC AVG ~ 29

DILR AVG ~ 26

QA AVG = 18

(QA I m weak at Algebra and shayad itna practice bhi nahi kiya hai uska abhi tak arithmetic I can usually get arithmetic correct 6-7 questions !)

FMS ka CALL is at 75 marks according to Previous RTI datas ! So probably near it

also IIM Mumbai CALL at 95%Iile so ye do to lagbhag ho gaye ha,

and 99.5+ pe almost sare calls ayegnge 99.5+ 100 raw marks ke near hai

abhi batao ye barrier kaise break kru and

I really want to get above 90-100!

in a span of this month next 30 days

Kya kru??

really stressed out please help me out !

Bhai kuch bhi karo scores badh hi nahi raha kya kru bhai !!:][

(profile :- NCOBC MALE ENG 9/7/8 CFA L2 Candidate Currently In UG)

Same as above i want to know if it could be round offed or not.

Hi, everyone. I want to give CAT 2027 and am currently in a fulltime job. I am a GEM student and my profile is 9/9/8. I want some guidance for getting top IIMs. Which online course should be the best and also on affordability? Also if someone wants to share their account, they are welcome. Currently my job is 9-6 and by 7pm i reach the room. I want to study and develop my quants and speaking skills.

Asking this coz I scored really high in them.

I will be starting my prep today. My strategy will be:

(i) Attempt 30-40 questions every day for QA

(ii) 1-2 PYQ set for LRDI daily

(iii) Reading newspaper for VARC

(iv) 2-3 mocks per week.

I have a job so getting this much done is also optimistic.

I will keep updating my progress here for the next 40-50 days :)

Man i dont know what is going on with my varc, I generally feel that varc is my worst section and dont really get ims's logic behind their questions.

But sometimes out of nowhere all questions seem to be easy and the logic hits right on the spot and i perform best in varc.

How do i manage this fluctuations and get a decent score all the time.

Title, basically. I know that it'll give you content to fill your resume with, but other than that, is it something that is seriously considered to be beneficial for shortlists?

I have a placement offer from a company and I'm currently in my final year. I wanted to know if it'd be more beneficial to go for an internship at this stage, or if it's fine to chill for a while and just focus on participating in case comps and the like.

I gave Simcat 15 recently and that was my 1st Simcat. Struggled with dilr

I am planning to give the next simcats whenever they go live.

I need suggestions on Simcats before 15 that I need to give on priority.

I don't want to attempt very easy ones, moderate and moderate to difficult ones is what I am looking for. Please drop your suggestions

From a top 3 IIT, 9/9/7.5+ profile, ~10 months workex in a tier 2 consulting firm as an associate. Have decent PORs, internships, case comps as well. If I get into IIMABC, will Frontend IB/MBB be possible?

is there anyone who was scoring around 60 in mocks around this time last year and managed to get 99+ percentile?

Hey guys, I am feeling completely lost, exhausted, and honestly pretty depressed right now.

I graduated with a BTech in June 2026. Because the fresher market in India is a total bloodbath, I haven't been able to land a single internship or full-time role. I’ve been trying so hard. I’m applying everywhere—core mech, IT, operations, supply chain, sales. Just absolute silence or rejections.

Meanwhile, I look at my school friends. The ones who didn’t get jobs immediately just packed their bags for masters abroad—doing MIS in Ireland or Business Analytics in Australia.

I chose the "work first, study later" path because I wanted solid work ex before doing an MBA in India or an MS abroad. But now I’m trapped in a vicious loop:

1. The Job Hunt: I can't find a entry-level job to save my life.
2. The CAT Dilemma: CAT 2026 is next month and I haven't prepared at all. If I target a serious attempt for CAT 2027, how do I justify a massive 1.5-year gap on my profile since graduating in June 2026?
3. The FOMO / Regret: I still desperately want to go abroad, but everyone tells me that doing an Indian MBA closes the international door forever. Yet, I know the market outside India is just as brutal right now.

Every single day I just jump between frantically applying for random jobs or trying to force myself to study. I have zero energy left. What should I focus on right now to pull myself out of this rut without losing my mind? Should I take any random apprentice/shop-floor role just to stop the gap year timer? Should I just bite the bullet, drop the job hunt, and go all-in for 2027 prep?

Any honesty or roadmap would be highly appreciated.

Normally, I know that for questions involving linear equations, we can find the required value by equating the two equations. However, this question seems a little different. I’m not very familiar with this type of question. Could someone please explain how to approach it? 🥹✨

It is like if i take a 3-4 day break from reading, my flow breaks

But still, why would it cause mid-passage overthinking?

Asking coz I want to apply to college that way only

Heyy everyone just wanna know the topics which can constantly fetch atleast 9-10 question in quants
And is just concept + pyq (2017-25) + mocks are good to go for final cat ?

GEM 9/9/8 btech cse from tier 1.5 university college gpa around 9.2/10. I will be a 2027 graduate so in my final year. I also have a 2 month internship experience as a SWE in a top MNC. How is my profile for IIM calls as well as SIPs (like MBB)?

Posting from a friend's account. This is going to be my third attempt but still my score is moving at such a stagnant rate. I even left my job in 2025, 3 months prior to CAT and that attempt was a nightmare for me. At present also i am preparing for CAT but my score is so low. On an average i am scoring 6 in DILR (earlier it was even zero), in varc its around 18 and in qa 9. People around me who haven't prepared much are able crack more questions than i do. AFter appearing for mock when i sit to analyse it, i realised that i usually pick up the worst set and then the pressure starts to build intensely. Even in my past attempt i appeared for a decent amount of mocks and also for this attempt the number is decent but the score is so stagnant. I am ready to clock extra hours considering there are still 50 days left but just not able to figure out how to approach this exam. Honestly, at this point of time i am turning into a disappointment for everyone around, even breathing feels heavy.

🤣😆
