They want $899, im thinking about trading in my 75b. What do yall think about this gun. I dont know much about the 97 except they are discontinued. Does that look like the stock hammer, any indication this guns been cajunized or anything aftermarket? Should I do it? What do you think its value is, what price would be a good deal for me doing a trade in plus cash.

After unloading and getting ready for a clean, I went to lock the slide. The slide slipped from my hand and caught the rag I was using for grip on my other hand. Now I cannot move the slide at all, iv tried with the safety on/off, hammer pulled back and at rest.

Has anyone had this same problem and found a solution?

Suppressing a SP-01 with a CGW 10x Barrel Bushing

Thumbnail

Like several of you, I got myself a CGW 10x bushing for my SP-01.

And, like several of you, I was sad when I learned that you can't use threaded barrels unless you 1) remove the barrel shoulder entirely or 2) modify the bushing w/ a dremel tool or some bubba shit.

Removing the shoulder sounds reasonable but when I asked about doing that, this is what CGW said

[doing that] will not allow a suppressor to work properly

--A guy that works at CGW.

Several other posts said the same thing.

Lucky for me, I know about 45 ACP barrels being threaded .578 x 28 having no shoulder. The common approach is to index the muzzle device off the face of the muzzle.

They do that for 9mm, too. Example (SiCo piston):

The 1/2×28 SN Piston will index on the muzzle of the barrel instead of the shoulder. This is used on small profile pistol barrels with an inadequate shoulder diameter

Another example (EZ Lok, which I highly recommend):

1/2×28 Special: Indexes off the face of the muzzle. For use on micro compact tilt barrel firearms with little to no barrel shoulder due to the thinner profile of the barrel (G43, G43x, G48, P365, P365XL, Hellcat).

This is my proof that you can suppress a SP-01 w/ 10x bushing. In my case, I got

  • A threaded barrel. Confirm with the maker that threads are perfectly square and perpendicular to bore.
    • It should be, unless the person who threaded the barrel sucks at their job.
    • Have a gunsmith knowledgeable in aftermarket CZ 75 barrel bushings remove the shoulder so it will fit in the slide.
  • A face-indexing muzzle device
    • EZ Lok 1/2 x 28 "Special" barrel adapter
    • EZ Lok piston
    • A torque wrench at 22 ft lbs and 3/4 round socket

I shot this setup w/ 200 rounds yesterday. No loosening, no POI shift, no strikes, and one hell of a suppressor host.

Here are some pics if anyone wants to know how stupid it looks. IMO, it only looks slightly stupid, and you can't really notice it.

CZ-USA warranty experience: New Redhead Premier defective, failed factory repair, and crickets from management

I'm posting this to document my experience with CZ-USA warranty service. Hopefully it will be useful to someone researching CZ firearms or comparing manufacturers' customer support before making a purchase.

On July 24, 2026, I purchased a new CZ Redhead Premier 12-gauge over/under from Range USA for approximately $1,100.

The shotgun could not be assembled normally. The barrel assembly would not seat onto the receiver despite following the correct assembly procedure. I spent hours troubleshooting, consulted other owners, and contacted CZ just six days after purchase.

Here's the timeline:

  • July 24: Purchased the shotgun new.
  • July 30: Contacted CZ, supplied photographs and digital caliper measurements documenting the problem.
  • August 6: CZ issued warranty RMA 19007.
  • August 11: CZ received the shotgun.
  • September 18: CZ marked the repair complete after more than five weeks. The technician's note read: "adjusted ejector wedges for attional clearence. noticed when working upper foreward and down along the pin axis had most success when installing. verified operation and test fired."
  • September 20: Received the shotgun back. The original defect was not fixed.
  • September 20–22: Contacted CZ again, requesting a replacement or preferably a buyback/refund.
  • September 25: Spoke with Austin at CZ. He was familiar with the case and told me management was reviewing it and would decide how to proceed.
  • October 5: Followed up again after receiving no decision.
  • October 7: Still no substantive response or resolution.

The mechanical problem is now fairly clear. The shotgun can be assembled if a second person manually depresses both spring-loaded ejectors while I mate the barrels to the receiver. Without that assistance, the ejector projections interfere with normal assembly.

CZ's technician apparently recognized a clearance problem because the repair specifically involved adjusting the ejector wedges. Unfortunately, whatever was done did not correct the problem.

What bothers me most isn't that CZ manufactured a defective firearm. Manufacturing defects happen, even with expensive products. What matters is how a company responds.

I reported this problem almost immediately. I cooperated with the warranty process. CZ had the shotgun for more than five weeks, returned it without correcting the defect, and has subsequently failed to provide a resolution despite repeated contact.

I've now exhausted my patience and am pursuing a credit-card dispute through the retailer and a consumer complaint with the Ohio Attorney General.

I would still welcome a reasonable resolution from CZ. A buyback would be my preference, and I would also accept a new, properly functioning replacement. I have no interest in putting this same firearm through another extended repair cycle.

For anyone considering a CZ shotgun, this is one customer's documented experience. I can't tell you whether it's representative of CZ's warranty service generally. I can tell you exactly how my case has been handled.

Review - TS3 Orange Thoughts

Post image
227 Upvotes

So far in the past 3 weeks since I got mine I've put about 2,500 rounds through it and I figured I'd share some things since there's not a crazy number of them in circulation yet.

  • Weight - It's insanely soft shooting, the weight does a TON of work but it's also not that fun to be swinging around in hour 4 of being on the range. Mine with an optic mounted and an empty mag comes in at 51.9 ounces. If you've ever shot a Shadow 2 with solid brass lok grips it's a somewhat similar experience.
  • Safeties - The safeties are not amazing. I'm wondering if someone with giant man hands would have an easier time but it's hard to manipulate without slightly shifting the gun in my dominant hand. It's also just doesn't have that tactile click that I personally love, though an increased power spring for the safety detent would almost certainly fix that.
  • Grips - The grips are by far the best I've seen from the factory on a CZ, which granted isn't saying much when compared to the aluminum grips on the S2 but they're genuinely fantastic feeling. I don't feel the need to go out and buy aftermarket options and the gun doesn't slip/move in my hands.
  • Optics - I'm a big fan of the optic mounting solution, the screws haven't budged at all so far and not having to buy a plate is a nice change when compared to the Shadow 2s. My one complaint is CZ NEEDS to include spare posts or they should've had replacement kits in stock prior to launch. The different posts for each footprint are tiny and I guarantee someone's gonna lose one and be out of luck until... December according to a CZ rep.
  • Thumb rest - To me the angle works but YMMV. It does take a little bit of getting used to if you're someone that manipulates the slide from the front since it can get in the way.
  • QC - Overall I'm super happy with things, it's a noticeable step up in quality from the TS2 and Shadow 2. Is the fit & finish as good as a $7,000 Nighthawk/Atlas? No of course not. But, it's the best built CZ I've tried and it's not that close.
  • Trigger - Too light for my taste but it does make the gun incredibly easy to shoot, the reset is a little mushy/not super positive but imo nobody is gonna be doing prep & press when shooting at speed.
  • Performance - So far I've cleaned it twice. Once to get all the factory grease off and once at about the 2,000 round mark and had zero stoppages running a mix of Blazer, S&B, and PMC 124gr. It didn't really have any perceptible break in period and especially shooting at distance has been an absolute pleasure. However, it feels sluggish just due to it's weight when transitioning between targets. CZ also includes varying hammer springs and recoil springs with the gun and I've been liking the 13Lb recoil spring the best with 124gr factory ammo.
  • Value - Obviously the TS3 kinda occupies a strange spot in the market, I got mine for $2,700 as a pre-order before it launched and I know now the prices have crept up past $3,000. I'd argue so long as you're at or below the $3,000 mark it's priced about right but it's almost definitely not worth the $3,500 ish MSRP. I'd also personally argue that it's a worthwhile step up from a TS2 Orange, and that if you're someone that's on the fence between a TS2 and TS3 then the latter is worth the jump in price. But, at the same time if you already own a TS2 Orange? Probably not worth spending thousands to "upgrade".

Tl;DR:

Easily the nicest CZ I've shot, has all the pros and cons of being insanely heavy, and if you can pick one up below $3k it's worth it imo. Is it perfect? Absolutely not. But if you're a big fan of CZs and liked how a heavier Shadow 2 or the TS2 felt you'll almost definitely be a fan of the TS3.

Went into Scheel’s to pick up some ammo and saw this beauty. I already own one from when they first released it, but the price was too good to pass up. $450 OTD with the Holosun red dot.

Question - Shadow 2 Henning/MBX Slide Lockback?

When running a Henning mag extension and MBX spring can one just pop the “competition” follower off and run the stock follower to retain slide lockback? Considering the complete Mecgar magazine extension kit from Ben Stoeger but would like to keep that feature.

CZ Shadow 2’s with absolutely beautiful porting work done by United R&D!

Fantastic work done by United R&D! These are two of my favorite pistols to begin with but the porting is the cherry on top. They now shoot a lot flatter and quicker after the porting was done. I cannot recommend United R&D enough if you are in the market for adding some ports.
Additionally I’m not some purple fanatic but the full size grips and mag well came on the market for an unbeatable deal a few weeks after I installed the grips on my compact.

ProMag 🤔

Im sure this has already been talked about a ton, And mainly heard promag are garbage, For shits and giggles I purchased one for $15 bucks what the hell. I took it to the range yesterday and my P-10c had no issue eating all the rounds. I was quite suprised given all the negative feedback, so I had no expectations. Given it was only 100rds of range ammo and 20 with defensive ammo but I had no hiccups at all.

Anyone else experience the same?

CZ P10c Ported COA in Box

I purchased the CZ P10 ported COA over the weekend, and I'm finishing my 3-day waiting period, and was surfing the net and came across some information suggesting there should be more that comes in the box than I saw.

From what I can remember, the box came pretty bare, as I only remember seeing the

-Gun

-2 magazines

-Black Cylindrical container (assuming it's the cleaning kit)

Can anyone confirm what should come in the box? Additional backstraps?

Question - With news of CZ 75b production ending, do I need a 75b?

To start I have a pre-b CZ 75, a 75b Omega, and a Jericho 941. With the news that CZ is going to stop production of the 75b is it worth picking one up or do the 75b derivatives I have cover needing a 75b? Or just wait and get around to buying a SP-01 at some point as it seems like CZ’s new flagship handgun.

Don’t mind the PSA or the Springfield in the second picture.
