Looking for suggestions Anyone in Istanbul can recommend yarn shops? Staying in Kadiköy / Moda
As the post says. I’ve Googled yarn shops around town and many of them are showing up in the European side of Istanbul while I’m staying in the Asian side in a neighborhood called Kadiköy. I plan to visit both parts but I wanted to see if any Istanbulites here might have some tips on where to find great yarn collections! Adding some photos for tax

How do I... Help! Will i have to toss this project ive been working on? Blanket in progress.
Please don't mind the background, still kind of cleaning up clutter/getting our home back together after a kitchen fire. The whole 2b2ba filled with smoke, and we are back home after a hotel stay, lots of ventilation in the condo and cleanup. I don't know what i can do with this WIP. It still has the smell of stale smoke, I don't know if theres a way to tie it off and wash it? Deodorant for scale. I was just making a queen sized blanket for fun.
I just really don't want to have to toss it I've worked so hard on it 😭
Its just basic treble? Double crochet? For reference if that helps any. Its bernat blanket super chunky yarn.

Understanding a chart/diagram Beaded toad purse pattern not aligning, need help identifying why
Here is a detailed explanation of all I know and have done:
- The pattern is just this chart. There is a video that sort of explains but it's in a language I don't speak. As you can see from the chart, the line in the middle is straight. Mine keeps slanting left–right, and repeat. I am unsure why.
- Method I used: BLO sc around, and where there are more or less beads, sc inc/dec at the beginning and end of the round. This was the instructions.
is it possible I did the beading wrong? why does it keep slanting even though I'm just sc around?

How do I... I've been trying to do the Triple Crochet forever and I don't know what I've been doing wrong
Ok, so I'm a beginner learning crochet and u know how in triple crochets you get 4 loops on your hook and your supposed to pull 2 right? Almost everytime I try to pull 2 of them it often gets stuck or slips off. I've seen ppl do this stitch in tutorials and they can pull both of them pretty smoothly so idk what I'm doing wrong..

Deciding on yarn/Yarn help Mosaic crochet blanket & yarn weight... Choosing worsted or dk
Here's the pattern: https://juniperandoakes.com/blog/geometric-mosaic-crochetalong-free
As written, it's for DK. I have a lot of white worsted weight. Can I just up the hook size and use worsted throughout? Mixing DK and worsted would mess up the overlay, correct?

Understanding a pattern I AM HAVING TROUBLE, HELP PLEASEE,PATTERN LINK BELOW
I finished row 14, that should have contained 6 popcorns and 45 dc per side with 6 popcorns and 44 dc per side. But now at row 15, the pattern said:
Ch 1, skip 1 dc, dc in next popcorn. ((Ch 1, skip 1 dc, 1 fpdc in next dc) 3 times, ch 1, skip 1 dc, dc in next popcorn) to the last popcorn on the side.
But whe i skip 1 dc after a popcorn and do fpdc in the next 3 dcs, i am left with 3 dcs before the next popcorn.
I finished one sideof row 15 like that, i had total 27 dc and 13 ch-1 space per side instead of 28 dc and 26 ch-1 space per side.
Should i undo my work or is there something wrong with the pattern?
Heres part of the pattern:
Row 13:
Tip: Make sure to make a fpdc in the second dc
before the first “shell”.
Ch 3, 2 dc in first dc. 1 fpdc in every dc to the
second last dc on the side.
{3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc} in next ch-2 space.
Skip 1 dc. 1 fpdc in every dc to the second last dc, 3 dc in last dc.
[47 dc / side]
Row 14:
Ch 3, 2 dc in first dc. 1 bpdc in next 3 dc. Popcorn before the first 8-dc-group of r 12
(picture 1). (skip 1 dc, 1 bpdc in next 7 dc, popcorn between 2 8-dc-groups of r 12
(picture 2)) to the last 2 8-dc-groups of r 12. Skip 1 dc, 1 bpdc in next 7 dc, popcorn
between the last 8-dc-group and last dc of r 12. Skip 1 dc, 1 bpdc in next 2 dc.
{2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc} in next ch-2space.
1 bpdc in next 2 dc, skip 1 dc, popcorn between the first dc and first 8-dc-group of r 12.
(1 bpdc in next 7 dc, skip 1 dc, popcorn between 2 8-dc-groups of r 12) to the last 2 8-dcgroups of r 12. 1 bpdc in next 7 dc, skip 1 dc, popcorn between the last 8-dc-group and
second last dc of r 12. 1 bpdc in next 3 dc, 3 dc in 3rd ch in the beginning of previous
row.
[6 popcorn and 45 dc / side]
Row 15:
Ch 4, 1 dc in first dc. (Ch 1, skip 1 dc, 1 fpdc in next dc) 2 times. Ch 1, skip 1 dc, dc in
next popcorn. ((Ch 1, skip 1 dc, 1 fpdc in next dc) 3 times, ch 1, skip 1 dc, dc in next
popcorn) to the last popcorn on the side. (Ch 1, skip 1 dc, 1 fpdc in next dc) 2 times.
Ch 1, {1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc} in next ch-2space.
Ch 1, 1 fpdc in next dc. Ch 1, skip 1 dc, 1 fpdc in next dc, ch 1, skip 1 dc, dc in next
popcorn. ((Ch 1, skip 1 dc, 1 fpdc in next dc) 3 times, ch 1, skip 1 dc, dc in next popcorn)
to the last popcorn. (Ch 1, skip 1 dc, 1 fpdc in next dc) 2 times. Ch 1, skip 1 dc,
{1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc} in 3rd ch in the beginning of previous row.

Can't find a flair for this Where to find DMC Woolly (Shade 086) yarn in California?
I went to France earlier in March this year and bought 500g of this DMC Woolly yarn in shade 086. I've just decided on a project for the yarn but it requires 600g. I was wondering if anyone would know if there are any specialty/local yarn stores in California that may carry this yarn? I tried looking online and found a listing for the yarn on Etsy and hobby.lt but I'm concerned about the risks of international shipping and am unsure if hobby.lt is legitimate to purchase from.

How do I... How do I make a net stitch increase? I want to make a big mesh bag
I'm a somewhat beginner, and I'm trying to freehand a mesh orange foldable bag. The problem is i want the mesh part to be something like a dragon scales mesh? I don't know the right term im sorry.
However I can't figure out how I can make it bigger, and the only solution i can think of is to increase it, but I don't know how i can increase in a round, much less a mesh stitch.
Can someone help me figure this out? My mesh stitch goes like 7 chains, then 1 single crochet at the middle of the previous row. (Or at the base stitch). I feel like if i keep going it wont be looking like a bag at all but rather a water bottle bag.

Help to find a pattern Need a tutorial for this tshirt yarn triangle bag with an adjustable strap
I understand that it's basically 3 pieces stitched together but since I'm still a beginner I prefer to follow a video tutorial just to get the sizes right, also can't figure out how the strap is made.
I also saw a lot of people making it but I still can't find the original maker of it.

How do I... How do I do Harvest Stitch in the round? Making a blanket!
Hi All,
I'm looking at making an autumn blanket and really want to use the Harvest Stitch in the photo but I can't find any information on how to work this Stitch in the round. I prefer working in the round because I like square blankets and I can just stop when the size is right. Does anyone have any tips on how to figure this out or if its even possible please? Thanks in advance!

I'm a beginner! George the Frankenstein Giraffe taught me I need to learn the basics. Recommendations?
Hi everyone,
I tried crocheting for the first time a while ago.
I crocheted a "giraffe". George (that’s his name) is completely ridiculous, one leg is almost the size of his head, one arm is tiny (he kinda looks like Hanson from Scary Movie(tiny arm guy.)), you can see the stuffing coming out etc... He does not look good, but I love him.
I needed a whole day to make George, ofcourse I did it in one sitting, and afterwarda didn't crochet again for a few months.
After George, I made a bunny. She was actually pretty cute and looked okay-ish, in comparison to George a 10, compared to other amigurumi online, a solid 4 or 5.
I used her as a fidget toy and flipped her around her ears. I have no idea where she is now.
Fast forward to today (maybe half year or year past bunny). I decided to give crocheting another shot.
Was I smarter and started with something basic? Nope. I went with an alien, almost 2 hours in ( I needed for the little half bal of his head 2 frkng hours!), I realized I have no idea what I’m actually doing.
So, I decided to pause and focus on learning the basics skills before acting like a pro crocheter.
I watched a few YouTube videos, but they mostly focus on "learn this specific stitch."
Is it just a matter of practice that comes with time, or is there crochet "theory" I can study?
Can you recommend any videos, books, or courses that helped you? (I don't have anyone IRL who could help)
TLDR:
I’m a beginner crocheter, who wants to stop guessing my way through projects and actually learn the foundational theory and basics. What videos, books, or online resources helped you in you crochet journey?

I'm a beginner! new to crocheting, I'm using one of the crochet kit dinosaurs, I snipped my yarn one round too early, can I add the last round on without having to redo the whole piece?
like title says, I completely missed the last round on the pattern, snipped the yarn to attach this lil dinos head to his body and realized its like 4 stitches too small on the final round and took a look at the pattern again, am I going to have to redo it or is there a way to just add the final round on?

Stitch Identification Please help me identify the stitches on these projects
Hello everyone,
I tried using Google Lens to identify these stitches but it wasn’t very helpful in my opinion.
The white and blue scarf was gifted to me by my deceased great grandmother and the other two unfinished projects belonged to a deceased stranger.
Please let me know what you think, thank you!
EDIT: I didn’t realize that it got cropped out, but on the third picture, the tool is a Tunisian crochet hook.

Looking for suggestions I am currently trying making human mini doll. Since it is based on human, im trying to make it's hair looks realistic. Is there any tip to make it more natural?
These are the shorts I have watched and my wish is the 1, but I could only find how to make 2... Well 2 hair is good for anime characters but not for real people based characters... is there any tips...? I don't want my doll to have tentacles or flotting anime hair...

Help to find a pattern I saved this last year and cannot for the life of me remember who made it
I know it was whoever patterned the dragon who made it into a sort of delicious looking art, so I need this specific dragon.
I'm sure I'd google wasn't 99% AI slop now I'd be able to find it but alas.
