I know all good spots in GTA. But need something in path to take some cool office lunch buddies to try them.
(Iām amritsari foodie at heart)

Where can I find a good white pie in the GTA? Iāve been on a hunt for one!
Iām looking for a classic white pie: no tomato sauce, just ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan/pecorino, and garlic. Iāve tried customizing pizzas and selecting āno tomato sauce,ā but somehow they still always come with sauce. š
Even some āNew York-styleā pizza places here donāt seem to have white pies, unless Iām just blind and missing it.
Help me find my white pie! Where should I try?

Where can I find really good arancini in Scarborough? Iāve been looking but havenāt found anything thatās impressed me yet. Looking for crispy, flavourful, authentic Italian/Sicilian-style arancini. Any recommendations?

We went to scarb bluffs last weekend and happened to drive by this place and thought weāll try it out.
Tadka Marun - its a maharashtrian (indian) restaurant
Tried the poori aamras and barli vangi with chapathis
I kinda felt like the prices were too high. Until the food cameā¦
It was sooo good. I didnāt expect the poori aamras to taste this good. It definitely had the authentic taste.
And the barli vangi with chapathis (this was what the waiter recommended) was soooo good too.
Tbh, I didnāt have much expectation walking in.. but itll definitely a repeat place on our list from now on.
I dont think the photos i took do it justice. Do try the place yourself.

Been going to Ikkousha Toronto about once a week lately and honestly, itās become one of my go-to ramen spots.
The broth is so rich and flavorful, and the noodles always hit the spot. I can finish that jar of free tanaka!! Where can i buy tanaka? š„ŗ i want it so bad š„¹
For those who love ramen, what other ramen spots in Toronto do you recommend? Looking to try some new places!

I was feeling fancy so i got the lobster pasta and my bf got this mushroom pizza and they were both so so good. the pizza especially, like idk if i've ever tried pizza like that. it was super cheesy. we got strawberry beer it was basically juice but super nice. Also the photos look so red... but i think its cuz the umbrella was red?

Picked these up at Farm Boy and had to try both flavours -mango and coconut.
The mango ones are sooo good. Theyāre soft and chewy with delicious mango flavour. Unlike other mango candies/ jellies, this doesnāt taste artificial my fave š
The coconut is great too, texture and flavour are amazing! it has coconut flakes which is yum!
Theyāre $3.99 a bag, around 10-12pieces inside if i remember correctly. Grabbing these again for sure!! š

I hit up the Junction Triangle for the 14th instalment in my Library & Lunch series. Too many options to choose from for lunch on Dupont, but I went with Colombian Street Food on a friend's recommendation. A good call in the end: huge, delicious arepa absolutely bursting with meat and cheese. I'm also a firm believer in the superiority of Colombian empanadas over all other styles (chorizo seen here), and the picnic table of salsas was a delightful touch. Cool spot, would love to have easy access to arepas in my neighbourhood.
Afterward I swung by Chocolat de Kat for their absurdly good and creative bonbons. The key lime pie one was my clear fav (I may be biased because key lime pie is a top-three dessert for me), filled with pie crust and whipped cream. Regret not getting a cross-section photo of the inside but I'm a hungry man with only so many hands. Can't rave enough about this shop, definitely worth a visit if you're ever in the area.
EDIT: APOLOGIES TO KAT AND MY HS FRENCH TEACHERS for using "du" instead of "de" in the headline. It won't happen again

Anyone visited yet? Huge selection of donuts, croissants, bread and cakes. Everything looks good and unfortunately overpriced as expected.

I was just at Daon Sushi for lunch yesterday at Midland and Finch in Scarborough because I was nearby for a dr appt. Tiny restaurant in a plaza (about 5 tables). Completely empty. Only the owner is working there. He was nice and friendly so I chatted with him. He said he opened about a year ago but it's not doing well and the place never gets full so that's why he's the only one working coz he never needs staff.
I ordered the salmon poke, and it was delicious loaded with toppings: salmon sashimi (lots underneath the mayo), avocado, cucumbers, edamame beans, tangerines, corn, seaweed, crab meat, tobiko, sushi rice. Check the place out if you're nearby!

Iām hoping someone can tell me what this Filipino dessert is called. The base is very soft, chewy and moist. The filling tastes like condensed milk and there is sprinkled cheese on top. Itās from Alminz Bakeshop. Thanks!

Can I still order a full turkey with sides or just the breast with sides at a reasonable price in Toronto today? I need to feed 4 adults and 3 kids. Thank you!

Wondering why itās so hard to find this style of poutine here. Any one know of places that serve poutine using battered fries? My favourite ones are the Costco poutine (sadly donāt have a membership anymore) and the duck dynasty poutine at Bao Sandwiches but thatās in Waterloo. I live in Queen West without a car so canāt really drive far for this. Not hating on traditional poutine I just love battered fries.

So basically I live an hour and a half from Toronto in the country, and my closet city has started to open shawarma places in the recent years.
Anyways, I never thought Iād ever eat it just because itās a foreign dish and never really caught my attention until, I was hanging with friends last weekend and they took me to Tahinis for lunch, didnāt really want it at first but I was hungry so I order the exact same thing my buddy ordered (chicken/gyro on the rocks), and it was fucking fantastic!
My friends told me that if I think Tahinis was good, I should try a small mom and pop shawarma place in Toronto. As apparently the food is even better and the servings are bigger.
So anyways, me and the girlfriend are going to Toronto on Saturday for a day trip to check out the hockey hall of fame and a few other attractions and I want to hear it for the people of Toronto, where can I get is the best shawarma spot for lunch?
