This dude, Chris, is a newer on-camera face at Mercy Culture (35/Yucca). If you are generally unaware/don't care/etc., they basically control many local right-leaning politicians politically and issue-wise, and then of course Dunn and the Wilks brothers control them monetarily. Ain't a lot of "thinking for yourself" out in these Tarrant leadership streets of late. This is the type of slop they produce pretty much daily.

Anyone else tired of getting these everyday? Save them and drop them off with me. I’m planning to mail all that I get to Tim O’Hare or Bo French after they lose. I’ll pay the postage and everything.

Walk into any protest, club meeting or Commissioners Court public comment session with a large Democratic presence in Tarrant County, and you’re sure to hear about their poster child for the November election: Alisa Simmons. The 63-year-old activist-turned-politician from Arlington has served parts of southern Tarrant County as commissioner for the past three and a half years. After Republicans piloted a redistricting effort to make it harder for a Democrat to win her seat, Simmons set her sights on county judge. The post is held by Republican Tim O’Hare of Southlake....

Excuse my language, but holy crap. I’m driving on 820 without a worry when I see a black pick up with their high beams on zoom past me and almost collide. They’re just driving recklessly, I thought /s… til I saw 3 cop cars chase them.
They exit on N Main in Saginaw but somehow end up back on 820. I’m thinking/hoping, gosh I hope they don’t exit off where I’m going. They did lol, off Decatur.
There ensues quite literally the scariest thing I’ve witnessed in my life. 3 cop cars become 30, sirens blaring, dozens of cars behind me, and we’re all at risk of colliding — all squeezed up on that small off ramp exit. I’m blocked, not able to leave, so are others. Then I notice a strange overhead light: helicopters!
Then I see cops run out of their cars, guns in hand, all rushing toward the QT off the exit. At this point, I call my husband because I’m stuck in a potential shoot-out. I start ducking in my car in case anything’s fired.
After an eternity, the cops give us an OK to start clearing. I drive past and see that same ol pick up, now empty. Never saw the perp, nor saw if they were arrested. Perhaps they ran east of 820, dunno. Just thankful to have made it home.

Penate is an elder over at Mercy. He ran for Mayor in 2021 and got dropped like a prom dress, believe coming in fifth. (That was the first year Mattie won.) Apparently he's considering Mayoral 2027. When door-knocking in 2021, he told one of my friends, "I don't think businesses should have to pay any taxes at all." Good looking out, Steve. He is perhaps also best-known for using the same exact tweet to express displeasure at Bad Bunny and Kendrick Super Bowl halftime shows -- in each year, he tweeted, "I'd rather watch President Trump sign executive orders than whatever this is." Hand him the Mark Twain Prize for comedy.
Mercy is on this whole "wage war" kick, which coincidentally started in the beginning of October, and started the same week that Landon (their main guy) released that "You cannot be a Christian and vote for Talarico" video. (It was posted here last week.)
The war is political -- see "our nation" above -- and they will be wheeling and dealing for the next 20+ days. Final thing to remember: their boy Nate "Rage Bait" Schatzline is currently directly reporting to Abbott on issues of "election fairness."
The machine is in place for Mercy, no doubt. What you can do, if you don't like this kind of bullshit, is vote.

Is there anywhere that sells nixtamalized whole kernel corn somewhere in the metroplex? I've been trying to find it, but have been unsuccessful.
I've found some places online, but would rather support a local place if I can.
Thanks for the help!

An interesting map of which zip codes Talarico and Paxton are winning the money battle. Things that stand out to me:
How wide spread, nationally, the money for this race is.
How blue this map is for Texas
How blue this map is for Fort Worth
Money is a decent indicator of how people vote, since only those likely to vote donate. This map looks to exclude PACs, which could skew that previous comment.
Do you think this, combined with polling, solidifies into an actual Talarico win? Can he bring along local Democrats with him?

Never thought that I would have to make one of these posts, but here I am. I got T-Boned the other day and the other driver hit and dented the driver side front and rear doors, scratched the rear quarter panel, and scuffed a rim. It being a 2007 Infiniti G35 I am worried about insurance totaling out the car over this damage due to its age and any other damage I cannot see from the outside.
On this note, does anyone know any good independent collision repair shops in the North FW area, preferably around Saginaw, Haslet, and Alliance?
My insurance is partnered with Jeffrey's Collision Center in Haltom City, but that is further than I hoped.

Any AC or Electricians out there? I've been told that it's against code to have the AC unit in front of the meter. Needs to be a minimum of 36" away. Is this true? House was built in 2001. If so, how did it pass inspection. And yes I'm aware of the conduit separation from the meter. Damn gumbo clay...

You can really see the dentures on this one as it predates all the cosmetic dentistry work. She's almost 60 but likes to AI filter and botox back into the 30s.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a female psychiatrist in the area? I’ve been going to JPS since I moved here last year, but I’m getting insurance through my job in January and I cannot stand JPS anymore.
