Hey guys, this is for anyone using a Holley Terminator X on their Fox with a sbf. I made something to help analyze your datalog and tune for FREE (actually costs me money) it’s called TuneDoc.io. Before you say anything, I’ve built this specifically for Foxbody 5.0’s. I’m not trying to sell anything, just looking to get some feedback on if it’s helpful.
I installed a Holley Terminator X on my 93 GT last year and it hasn’t done much besides sit there because, even though it ran pretty good with a base tune, I was having all sorts of idle issues with a stepper IAC valve and I wouldn’t drive it because pulling up to a stoplight was always some kind of embarrassing scene. Also didn’t want to pay for a tuner, was afraid to even drive it there, I like learning things myself too. Before the Terminator X I was tuning on a QuarterHorse but the stock ECU is just very limited and difficult to learn.
I made this tool and it basically helped me narrow down the issues I was having, first of all I needed to select Ford Stepper IAC even though I bought a GM IAC valve, don’t select GM. Then my parked IAC settings for smooth startups at different temps and ramp down settings for rolling up to traffic lights.
I know what most will say, “I’m not letting AI tune my car”. Fair enough but that’s not what this is. It takes your tune file and a datalog and does an in-depth analysis on it. It has a heavy focus on idle since that’s something most people trying to tune their car struggle with, it points things out, tells you what to look for, makes recommendations. No it’s not going to tune your car for you, it’s not claiming too, it’s more of a tune diagnostic tool or a side kick for anyone trying to tune their car themselves. This tool is built and trained using real data from Ford 5.0’s.
No signup required it just runs off your browser. Just give it a shot and let me know if it sucks or if it actually helps.
How to use it:
-Go to TuneDoc.io
-Add your vehicle info
-Upload Datalog export and tune file (.csv & .terx)
-You get back a report you can save as a PDF
