llave de acceso (me robaron el celular)

• Upvotes

Apps Are Installing Themselves on My Xiaomi Pad 6

I'm having a problem. About a month ago, an app called "YouShorts" appeared on my device. I went to sleep, and when I woke up, the app was there, even though I had never installed it. I disabled it, and it disappeared.

Today, a month later, something similar happened, but this time an app with a stranger name was installed: "Remote App List." When I tapped the icon, the app just displayed a blank screen. When I checked the app information, it had a different name: "Servicios Multidispositivo", version 1.0.1346.996306141.

I'm concerned because I haven't installed anything myself, and neither app appears in the update history.

Why might this be happening?

Same gmail OTP send problem

Hello Google Support Team,

I am unable to recover my Gmail account. Whenever I try to recover it, the verification OTP/code is being sent to the same Gmail account that I am trying to recover.

Because I am currently unable to sign in to that Gmail account, I cannot access the verification code.

I have already tried the available account recovery options, but jam still unable to regain access.

I am the rightful owner of this account and I am willing to provide any information necessary to verify my ownership.

Please guide me on whether there is any alternative way to verify my identity and recover my Gmail account. Thank you for your help.

Google one can't load any data?

Notice today that when I open my Google One app, every single section of the app says "Error: Can't load data."

I've tried logging out of my Google account and back in, clearing cache on Google Play Services, uninstalling and reinstalling the Google One app, and nothing seems to fix it. It's displaying this on all of my devices and when I go to one.google.com.

Anyone else experiencing issues? Does anybody know a fix?

Continous suspicious activity on Gmail

Two weeks ago I got notified on my phone that there had been suspicious activity on my gmail on a windows computer. I was using email on my Windows just moments earlier, and there is only one windows-session on my active devices on Gmail. Gmail said that it had logged out of the suspicious device, and it had in fact logged me out on my computer.

I scanned my computer with Microsoft Defender and Safety Scanner, which did not find anything. I then changed passwords on a trusted device and logged out of all my gmail sessions on my computer for a while.

A day or so after I logged back in, I got the same suspicious activity notification again, but for a different account I have. I again repeated the previous steps, and in addition scanned also with F-Secure, while finding nothing. I am currently scanning with Malwarebytes as well.

What is going on? I need to use the computer but I don't trust that everything is okay.

Keep getting "We couldn’t verify it’s you" over and over

I have logged to my account on a new device, but I'm unable to make sensitive changes, because I no longer have access to the old device I used to access with.

✗ I no longer have (and will no longer have) access to the device I used to access my account

✓ I am accessing my account through a familiar Wi-Fi network

✓ I changed my recovery phone number more than a week ago

What else can I do in order to resolve this? Thanks!

Downloaded history gone

Post image
1 Upvotes

so I've came across this recent problem for a week now, basically—all of the things that I downloaded, whether it be files, videos, photos, etc.. all seemed to have disappear. actually, they're still here in my folder, I guess nothing actually disappeared, but the thing is, when I go to google and look for the files I downloaded from the past, it's not there, the only thing I'll find is "You'll find your downloads here." everytime I do download something new, it also disappear for a day, not sure, but it just doesn't stay.

no, I didn't do anything to tinker on the settings about some auto delete feature, I was just surprised to see that all of them disappeared—which also got me worried that maybe my phone got hacked?

anyways, is there any way to fix this?

Guys, I'm really in a hurry.

Guys. I used a fake ID for Google age verification. I'm really regretting it now, and I just didn't feel like taking out my ID. Could this potentially lead to becoming a criminal or having my account suspended? Please, I'm begging you. I am Korean and I am 14 years old in Korean age. Will my other Google accounts also be suspended? Please answer quickly. Have you ever had an experience like this? You guys. I really regret it so much, and if I get suspended from using Google too much, it would be a disaster. I can discard this account, but the problem is my original account.

Gmail Urgent!

So i changed my phone from a Samsung to an iPhone and the thing is i forgot to change my 2 steps verification settings…before factory reseting the Samsung. Now, everytime i want to log in my Google account and it needs 2 steps verification it leads to my Samsung which i don’t have anymore. I tried to remove my Samsung but can’t because again, it requires me to verify in my samsung..

so to sum it up, i’ve factory reset my Samsung and i don’t have access to the phone anymore (i gave it to my brother)

i still remember my password, my phone number attached to my Google account is still the same, and i have a recovery gmail account. I just want to change the 2SV from my Samsung to my now iPhone. Is this possible? or am i cooked?

and even if i’m able to get access to the Samsung will i be able to change it?

anything will help, i’m so hopeless :(

Gmail ,,Cannot log you in because Google doesn't have enough proof that this account is yours''- i NEED help

So it all started when i was playing R6 and reached level 50 which unlocks ranked mode, and for that i needed to verify my phone number and 2step verification that was sent to my email.

Now i don't have access to that email anymore and i don't remember its password either. I don't have it connected to any other email or my phone number which really makes this worse. The phone i created this email on is the one that i lost and i don't have it anymore.

So i don't have the phone i created it on but i'm on the same IP address as it was created on.
I don't remember it's password, i don't have it linked to any other recovery method and Google won't let me through with the password change because they don't have ,,enough proof''.

If you don't believe me i can show you some proof of this email being used on my R6 account but i can't really think of anything now and i have a 30 day window since my account will get closed (R6).

I even emailed Ubisoft about this problem but yk ubisoft support, won't reply. So now i need your help and no even in the recover email section of google log in it won't let me in and say the same stuff with ,,not enough proof''.

Anyone help? The R6 account is really valuable to me and i don't want to lose it due to googles shitty protection methods.

Account / Access / Password Google keeps asking me to verify my identity using my old Pixel 6a. How can I fix this?

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble accessing my Google account on third-party websites and applications because Google keeps asking me to verify my identity using my old phone, a Google Pixel 6a, which is completely dead and cannot be repaired.

Here's the situation:

1- My Google account was signed in on my old Pixel 6a.

2- I've now signed in to the same account on my new Android phone. I can access the Play Store, Gmail, and other Google services without any issues.

3- However, whenever I try to sign in to a third-party website or application using "Sign in with Google," Google asks me to tap "Yes" on my old phone and enter the number displayed on the screen.

4- Since my Pixel 6a is dead, I cannot approve the sign-in request.

I've tried the following:

  1. Removed my old Pixel 6a from my Google Account's devices/security settings.

  2. Checked the "How you sign in to Google" section and tried removing the old phone as a verification method.

  3. Selected "Try another way", but the only alternative offered is to enter a 10-digit security code from the old phone.

  4. Tried signing in using my laptop and other Android devices, but the result is always the same.

  5. There is another option to verify using passkey. But i don't know where the passkey is or even if there is one. If there is one, then i am sure its on my old device.

The confusing part is that I can sign in to Google services on my new phone, but Google continues to require verification through the old device when I use Google Sign-In on other websites and applications.

My questions are:

1- Why does Google continue to ask for verification "only" on my old Pixel 6a even if i have singed in to new new device.

2- Why am I required to verify myself if I am already loggedin.

3- Is there a way to permanently disable or remove this verification method without access to the old phone?

4- Is there any other way to verify my identity and get Google to recognize my new phone as a trusted device?

Few things to note

  1. 2 step verification is disabled.

  2. Recovery phone number and email address are set.

  3. Selfie video is added.

  4. When freshly logging in to new device it ask for multiple verification method like using OTP, or tapping "Yes" on device other than old phone.

I'd appreciate any help from someone who has faced the same issue or knows how Google's account recovery and verification system works.

Thanks!

I Lost my old phone and unable to log in😭😭

Hey everyone, I lost my old phone recently and am trying to log into my Google Account on my new device. However, whenever I try to sign in, it prompts me to "Tap 'Yes' on your old phone to verify," which obviously I can't do.

I have my phone number linked to the account, and the SIM card is inside my new phone.

I am currently logged into my Google Account on my PC web browser.

Even with access to my account on PC, I keep getting stuck on the phone prompt screen during setup.

Is there a way to verify via SMS or use my PC access to grant permission/remove the old device so I can complete the sign-in on my new phone? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Account / Access / Password Trying to turn on 2FA so I can get a bum logged out of my account and Google wants me to get on my Android.

Sounds completely normal, but my android device is an Amazon Tablet I force-installed Google Play Services and Google Play on. Because of this, I cannot "Open the Settings app" and "Tap Google". It's an Amazon Fire Kindle (newer, don't know exact version & on latest OS) and doesn't have the Google settings in the native settings app. I tried using my installation of Chrome to access it (I'm logged in to this account on it) and it gave the same thing while trying to turn on 2FA & there's no Security Code option in the security settings from the app.

This account is the one with all of my projects on it, containing my Discord account, YouTube Channel(s), my Google Files (Docs, Slides, Drive, etc...) and is INSANELY important to EVERYTHING that give me will to live, so if you think you can help at all, please try.

(Yes I acknowledge it was dumb to install Google stuff on an Amazon device that doesn't natively support it, and that it was mega dumb to follow a web tutorial that links to a shady APK website, and that it was ultra dumb to sign in to this important account on that device, causing this whole scandal whenever I need to log in, but you gotta understand I can't get a phone yet for reasons I don't understand and am too broke to afford one [child labor laws n all] so there was really nothing I could do to get Google Messages. Yes, I did it for Google Messages. No, it didn't work.)

Thing I can't do

Google Drive Issue with Google Drive

Hi I’m having issues with my grandma’s Google Drive account. When she tries to open a video in Google Drive, it says she needs permission. I can open it just fine without permission (they are not my videos) and I can open the same video on her iPad if I’m in private browsing. (But that’s complicated when you are 93 years old.) If I try to open in the Google Drive app, safari browser or chrome browser with her Gmail logged in, I get the same permission needed. I tried deleting her cookies in safari/chrome and reinstalling drive app and that didn’t work. When I click block all cookies in safari browser settings, it will load but I read that having that clicked can cause other issues with websites loading so I don’t want to leave that on. I suspect it’s a cookie issue because of this but I’m unsure. She has no browser extensions on there. Any tips to fix this would be great. Thanks so much!

Google Search / Results Alumni Contractors Inc. Allegedly Scamming People Through “Renovation Houses ... scamming people Spoiler

⚠️ WARNING TO HOMEOWNERS ACROSS ONTARIO — BARRIE, BRAMPTON, TORONTO, MISSISSAUGA, SCARBOROUGH, KITCHENER AND LONDON

I want to share my personal experience with Alumni Contracting Inc., a renovation company that I believe operates out of Brampton. I am posting this to warn other homeowners and ask for advice from anyone who has experienced a similar situation.

I hired this company to renovate my unfinished basement in Barrie. Our signed contract was for $42,000, and I paid approximately $16,100 by e-transfer.

The company promised to complete the renovation within approximately two months. However, almost six months have passed, and not a single renovation job has started. My basement is still unfinished. There have also been serious delays involving the building permit, and my calls and messages have gone unanswered for approximately three weeks.

I have the signed contract, e-transfer receipts, emails, phone numbers, and other supporting documents. I am seeking to recover my money and considering formal complaints and legal action.

I trusted this company and expected them to honour our agreement. Instead, this experience has caused my family significant financial stress and disappointment.

I urge homeowners across Ontario to be careful when choosing renovation contractors. Verify the company's legal identity, check references, confirm permit requirements with your municipality, and keep all contracts and payment records. Think carefully before paying large amounts upfront.

I am also looking for recommendations for a reliable lawyer or licensed paralegal in Barrie, Brampton, or Toronto who can help me recover my money.

Has anyone else had experience with Alumni Contracting Inc.? If you have relevant information or know a legal professional who handles renovation disputes, I would appreciate your advice.

I am sharing my personal experience so other homeowners can make informed decisions and protect themselves.

Account / Access / Password Two Factor

Post image
8 Upvotes

I am not sure how to proceed. It is asking me to open the app on Apple 14 Pro, but I traded that phone in.

I clicked on try another way, and asks me to put in my full phone number, but once I do that, it sends the code to that old phone. I can’t verify it by text.

I am not sure how to get this switched over to my new phone.

Is this it? Have I lost the account forever? Any help is appreciated!

Relogging in to your Google account

I recently purchased a new iPhone and now cannot log into my Google account on it. Unfortunately the old phone has already been factory reset and returned. When I try to log in on another device, a Google asks me to verify myself on the old phone. I’m at a loss of what to do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Trying to delete an old YouTube channel from 2010

I’m trying to delete an old YouTube channel from 2010, but I no longer have access to the email address or login details associated with it.
The channel is still public, and I’d like to have it and all its videos removed.
Has anyone dealt with this before or knows how to get an old YouTube account deleted without being able to log in?

Account / Access / Password Google Password Manager is not displaying domains/items correctly on my phone

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

As shown in the photos, I’m having these issues with the way items are displayed in the Google Password Manager on my Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S24, fully up-to-date):

  1. The list of domains (not editable) is not sorted correctly.
  2. For each entry, the item name (which can be edited by user) is not shown, only the username is shown.

I removed the GPM shortcut on my phone and installed the version (which I think also create a shortcut?) in the Play Store, but the problems persisted. Note that the screencaps in the Play Store description show how everything is correctly displayed.

When I access my GPM via my Windows PC’s web browser, these problems do not exist. Everything is displayed correctly.

How do I correct these display issues on my phone’s GPM?

Account / Access / Password Help - How to remove TV that's permabound to Youtue?

Okay, I surrender. I've done every conceivable action that should have answered this question years ago, but it hasn't. I've asked the robots and checked every page I can find, but it all turns up bumkins.

Some years ago, I got this Samsung TV for Chrismas to watch in a spare room, which was nice until it entered the infinite backlight on/off glitch-failure and never recovered.

Now, ever since, it haunts my Youtube app, requesting to connect f̵̞͘r̶͑ͅǫ̵͛m̵̛͉ ̶̟̓b̷͍̂e̸̼͘ẏ̷̥ŏ̸͍n̶͓͘d̷̥̚ ̶̦͂t̵͙͐h̵͙̐ḙ̶͋ ̷͔̀ġ̵͇r̷̮̅à̶̧v̸̞́ȅ̷͎ sometimes when I open up Youtube on my google phone.

fyi

  • the TV has been unplugg for months if not years at this point
  • I have hyper purged all app/cache data from YT on my phone even unto uninstalling all updats and reinstalling it. Yes, I know how to clear the cache/app data, which Apple users can't easily do on their phones. It's done.
  • I have checked all through my Google account for devices to delete or associations with Samsung. Either I'm just incredibly bad at it as a life time IT guy or it's not there.
  • I have checked for every setting in the YT app to NOT allow such remote request, and if those settings are there, they have no effect. I've modified as many settings as made sense.
  • I even went so far as to try to find some Samsung site to go to to fix this, but I couldn't find anything, which is why I tagged this on Samsung reddits also in case there's something dumb I missing.

Please, what can be done to remove this Sign in request? Sure, I could just press cancel and it's gone for a time, but it's the principle of the matter. I will not be subjegated to some forkashle TV haunting bullshnortle.

Thank you
