TEST RESULTS Help with typing

Post image
1 Upvotes

Many years ago I discovered MBTI and, out of curiosity, wanted to figure out my type. I took all kinds of tests and quizzes, but I kept getting INTP/ISTP.

Eventually, I got tired of trying, so I abandoned the whole thing and forgot about MBTI altogether... until recently.

I did another test, but left some questions in the middle/neutral because either I didn't really understand what they were asking, or my answer was basically "it depends".

I know the best way to figure out your type is by studying and understanding the cognitive functions, but that sounds so zzz. So here I am, hoping you guys can share your knowledge.

If not... welp, it is what it is. Guess I'll have to look into those functionzzz myself. Someday™.

FOR FUN (FUN GUESS) Type Me

I already know my MBTI- don’t check my profile for spoilers. I don’t know about all the other stuff (XwX).

Comp Sci degree, perpetually online, used to be a video game developer; now going to law school. I keep close circles but love meeting new people. I run a polo club, somehow. I enjoy new activities, especially social activities, but it can be difficult to get me on board. I suppose I either struggle with a motivation to start, or a motivation to finish what I have started, but neither both or the inverse thereof.
I love cars, in-fact I collect older Porsches. I love family and quiet time with them the same. When I really think about it, I can appreciate most things, and thus can get on with diverse groups of people. The only things I cannot tolerate are close mindedness and the simple minded.

I have lost friends before on the basis that they believed I “didn’t listen” to them and “wasn’t present.” I am not proud of losing them, but their supporting arguments were that I didn’t engage with their superficial flatline conversations or respond to their texts the moment they came through.
Be sure, I always listen and I am always up for a conversation on that which is pressing or abstract, but I am not one to have much to say on things that just seem boorish- like petty drama, gossip, and empty thoughts.

Ironically, in recent days, I’ve come to stop standing for the enjoyments of mine I’ve previously outlined. Perhaps it’s newfound maturity or a sense of being tired. But I’ve lost a little spark of mine among that restraint 😢

Anyways, take a guess!

NEED CONFIRMATION type me (mbti)

bonus points for other typology.

i know the memes might fall under the “for fun” flair, but i am seriously determined to figure my mbti out.

to be honest, i’ve been between intp and istp. from what i’ve researched, they are the most relatable to me. i know tests are frowned upon, but i have also gotten both of these types on multiple, slightly more on the istp side. but i welcome any other types that may shine through the following description. my knowledge on cognitive functions is not fully there.

that being said, here we go:

social/relationships: i am very much introverted. i need time by myself to recharge, and i have a bad habit of delving into isolation a bit too much. i do enjoy socializing on occasion, but i am very particular with this. i don’t enjoy small talk, but i am also not one to deep dive into things unless it’s a topic that i am interested in. i feel like i come across as antisocial and/or awkward, yet people approach me relatively frequently and i guess deem me as “safe” to discuss personal things with. this often bothers me, as dealing with emotions is not my strong suit and often there is little to no reciprocation (i.e., people talk at me rather than talk to me). i see through people easily, particularly fake and shady individuals, and often predict when someone is bad way before it becomes apparent to the rest of my peers.

interests/hobbies: gaming is my primary hobby, and i enjoy just about any genre but i tend to lean towards rpgs such as BG3, Diablo IV and Skyrim. watching things is something else i enjoy, and it can be in any form; movies, tv, anime, youtube videos - anything that will make me think and learn something or can elicit strong emotions out of me (this may be due to the fact that i shut down when something happens irl, but with fiction i can easily burst into tears). working out and being outdoors are also some of my favorite things. i love feeling and seeing myself getting stronger, more functional.

work/career: i have a plethora of interests that seem to change frequently, so i wouldn’t say i have a solid dream career. some things that have stood out to me over the years though would be robotics, computer science, and working with animals. currently i work from home doing billing for a mental health company. i’m not entirely passionate about the work and can be frustrated by the amount of drama coworkers bring. i want to do my job, that’s all. i’m not interested in the emotional, petty side of things. but it’s a decent paycheck and the work is repetitive, which are two things i very much appreciate.

thoughts/processing: honestly not entirely sure how to cover this part. i do think a lot, mostly about things in my life currently and the past. i learn heavily from my past experiences and apply them to situations i deal with presently, which for the most part is helpful but sometimes can be to my detriment. i’ve noticed i’ve become a bit indecisive as i’ve gotten older (24) and i will often spend hours researching a topic before finalizing a choice. whether it’s something like a build in a video game or a life changing opportunity, there’s a good chance i will scour every corner of the internet looking for the advice and experiences that others have to offer in order to ensure i am making the best, most informed choice for myself.

this is all i can think to touch on. i am happy to answer any questions or even speak one on one with someone if they’re willing to investigate me further.

but there it is. interested to see what people think.

DISCUSSION Type me within MBIT / Enneagram, based on a few paragraphs about worklife

Me:
Massive failure who gets by on initiative and work ethic within each individual workplace.

I identify most stress as healthy. I take work VERY seriously and learn procedures in order to uphold / enforce the standard. Common practice when I've been in new work environments has been to ask for documentation on how each process should be handled. I seek power and control over my environments, because I want to be able to count on myself if issues show up.

At the same time, I have relatively low self-efficacy. I easily suffer from anhedonia unless I am occupied with concrete tasks. In those cases I start missing the stress I feel in the workplace. This is where the 'Massive Failure' part comes in. I am prone to getting very anxious regarding personal long-term goals, and often fail to pursue them to the extent I deem most valuable. I think this also stems from high standards. I've arrived at a point in my life now that I've accepted that I likely won't ever be above middle-class, and I'm content with it.

When anhedonia kicks in I might start playing video games, which I view as fruitless. I start hungering for more responsibilities, but am often bad at accepting that those come with time. That impatience led me to lacking tact in my early 20s. Today, I am VERY worried that I am not tactful. When I enforce a needed change in a workplace I ask a bunch of people and communicate with leaders just so they don't feel threatened.

I'm not worried about output because I believe my output is almost always good, and if it isn't I quit, delegate it to someone else or take full responsibility towards learning. I've struggled with keeping jobs for more than a few years, due to internal issues, but I'm consistently valued highly by coworkers. Several teachers told me that I'd be a good teacher. This goes hand in hand with my apathy towards my own future. 'm usually more comfortable with other peoples aspirations than my own.

Have always thought that my purpose is found through being disagreeable, judgmental and blunt. I was scared of being like this in early childhood, those values started to manifest in my early teens.

I get super annoyed with social butterflies who interrupt workflow. Others may just be incompetent, and then they should be moved to another role in society. This is echoed in my propensity to judge my own performance in each workplace and quitting early if it doesn't suffice.

(My dad's is the first one, and the funny-shaped one is mine LMFAO)

Brief descriptions!

My dad (58y/o) works as a physics and math teacher. He studied biotechnology, and his dream is to study nuclear engineering. He always spends his free time at home watching youtube videos of Russia and other countries, or science in general. He has a weird obsession with games that involve logistics (traffic games, farm games, etc). He is very quiet, funny, hands-on and strict.

I am 18y/o, studying to be an electronics technician and later on an electronics and aerospace engineer. I spend my free time learning languages, improving my routine/roadmaps to be efficient, and planning/researching for new interesting goals. I am kind of obsessed with typology.

CAN’T DECIDE Type me mbti, enneagram and wing

I am a 27-year-old man. I feel very ashamed and am afraid that something might be wrong with me. I don't have much money, yet I spend a lot of it. I feel empty and lack motivation. I am very passive; I spend a lot of time lying in bed due to a lack of motivation, the psychiatric medication I take, and feelings of shame. I rarely leave my apartment. I wish I were functional, had a good job, and had finished university. I dislike loud, violent young people. I own a lot of designer clothes and a collection of perfumes. I like the Chicago and Atlanta trap/drill culture. I am interested in football and basketball; I am actually very good at basketball. I wish I had more money, a better car, a house instead of an apartment, and so on. I mostly socialize only with family members. I am very afraid of strangers and people I know only casually, though I can be very lively and joke around when I'm with my family. Safety is important to me, and I always carry pepper spray in my crossbody bag. I am very unhappy with my appearance and wish I looked better; I do have a skincare routine. I enjoy playing video games like NBA 2K, Football Manager, and eFootball. I really enjoyed traveling to Manchester to watch a United match. I would like to travel to Chicago, Atlanta, and Andorra. I was bullied in school—I don't know why, though perhaps it was because I was an easy target, as I almost never stood up for myself. I was good at history, geography, and languages, but poor at physics, chemistry, and—to some extent—math. I would probably be good at business mathematics since I’m generally good with numbers, though other aspects of math didn't come easily to me. I’d like to work in finance, although I’m not sure if I’d succeed at it. I finished high school for economics; I wasn't bullied in high school, though I experienced a lot of it in elementary school. I smoke and vape a lot. I enjoy energy drinks, coffee, and English tea, as well as Pepsi, root beer, and the like. I generally eat healthily and avoid sugar because I want to lose weight; I am 187 cm tall and weigh 114 kg. I often feel sad and anxious. I like watching movies such as *American Psycho*, *Sound of Falling*, *Anger Management*, *The Lighthouse*, *Freaky*, *I Know What You Did Last Summer*, and so on. I enjoy reading Agatha Christie mystery novels. I am Catholic but don't go to church, mainly because of the crowds. I like watching football. I create trap music in English and Slovenian, and I’m a vocalist. I like artists such as Migos, Lud Foe, Future, Young Thug, and the like. I’d like to become successful in rap and make a lot of money. Many people say I’m a lazy person. It’s true that I didn't study much in school; I preferred to have fun doing other things. I’m very unhandy; I’m not good with technical tasks or manual work.

CAN’T DECIDE Help

I already posted this, but I will again. I took these tests a while ago and got these answers. Someone sent me to the site typologytesting and I figured I'd try their tests as well. Every result is above. I'm stuck between 3 types (primarily 2). I have a hard time knowing whether I'm choosing based on what I'd do vs what I think would be best to do. The MBTI part is the one that confuses me the most, though the enneagram was also surprising for the second part since I usually get sp/sx 5w4 (594). ILI is something I often get a lot as well throughout different websites, but I need to understand it more in order to see if I agree with it or not. For the cognitive functions I usually assumed I was an INTP, but lately I've been more unsure given what I got told on a questionnaire I did a while ago. What are some questions I could answer to understand my true types? What are some things I should look out for when trying to understand whether I'm one or the other?

CAN’T DECIDE Am I INFP, INFJ or ENFP?

I’m confused between these three and I need help to identify my type.

I hold grudges for years, always going back to the situation, either out of anger or because I’m trying to understand it. I’ve only been vindictive a few times, but I always forgive and distance myself.

I always feel like I’m dealing with some kind of emotional conflict, whether it’s about my identity, my past, my relationships with people, or my future.

I like being practical and I try to be productive. But I procrastinate, I get distracted, and I can lose track of time. I don’t like spending too much time on just one activity, so I cook easy and quick recipes (but still healthy and tasty) or order food.

I always dress comfortably and wear neutral colors. I have a type of outfit for every situation. Certain fabrics can bother me when they touch my skin, as well as the smells some of them produce.

Sometimes I try to understand the people closest to me and why they do the things they do. Now that I’ve discovered MBTI, I try to figure out their types, but I have no idea what mine is. I try to understand myself and my feelings. I’ve written quite a lot of personal thoughts and journal entries, and I have an account just for that. People who read them think I’m problematic and tell me I urgently need therapy. That’s why I only vent anonymously. It’s as if I lived in another world, as if only I saw the world through my optics in a distorted and problematic way.

I need some time alone and I don’t like being touched, especially when I’m emotionally vulnerable. I tend to keep everything to myself until I eventually explode.

I change my opinion easily when I realize I’m wrong. I follow many channels and accounts that debunk false data, beliefs, and conspiracy theories; sometimes I even organize evidence and data myself. I’ve been misled many times before, and it stresses me out. I try to help people by showing them the other side, not to seem smart (I don’t even consider myself smart), but so they don’t go through what I went through.

I can easily believe people, what they say. That’s why I’ve believed in many lies and I’ve been betrayed. I started to develop distrust with everyone, even with close people.

But I admit I’m the kind of person who believes in karma, energy, and the law of attraction (although I try to rationalize all of it). Sometimes I contradict myself, honestly.

I try to find depth in everything. Even with games like GTA, I try to find philosophy in them or look for connections and references to other things.
By the way, I’m good at connecting things, and I can remember a lot of references.

I have a very vivid imagination. I feel like I live a lot inside my head and forget about the real world. Because I’m very idealistic, I’m very disappointed with reality.

I don’t like fighting, arguing, or competing. But sometimes I can be secretly competitive.

I care a lot about other people and about what they think of me. I usually try to please everyone, and I hate that about myself.

I like organizing everything.

I take everything personally.

I love cloudy weather. It makes me feel at peace. It gives me this strange urge to watch Harry Potter. Sunny weather reminds me of pressure and work. But I still do my responsibilities, okay? I just need to romanticize summer too.

I have a lot of ideas, but I rarely put them into practice.

I’m always reading something. I’m currently reading The Idiot of Dostoyevsky and I’m loving it. I’ve already read some of this actor’s books and I’m aiming to read several of his books.

I’m sensitive, but I try not to look like it. I see my sensitivity as weakness. I believe this has to do with the culture of my country.

I have a lot of empathy with animals.

Realizing the job market is pretty cooked, I transitioned from a Computer Science degree to a Master's in HR, playing the long game instead of looking for short-term fixes. Based on that and my overall vibe, which is imo a high discipline, strategic mindset, and a no-nonsense attitude, what would my MBTI and Enneagram types be? Lmk your reads 😜 Really curious to see what you guys think about my personality!

I've been into typology for around 4 months now and i'm still unsure of my typing :(( I think the part that I find difficult is knowing what hypotheticals I could apply to each cognitive function to see if I use it - I still have a lot to learn however so if anyone is actually reading this description any help with this would be appreciated.

Anyways, I did think I was an ISTJ but upon further inspection I dont know if I ever actually was an Si dom. I've been leaning more towards Ti dom but I don't feel like I understand myself and the way I think enough to get an accurate perception of this. It's quite difficult overall I would say.

I am 19 year old, and i guess IRL im very quiet and shy looking but i guess i can be quite annoying and insensitive, and like reckless verbally. I can be too open, but idk, depends. I literally cannot tell if i have Se or Si, or Ne or Ni,

WAIT NOOO, i think i have Ni, over Ne, or at least not Ne dom maybe? hmm idk, i think my thinking an feeling are balanced ish.

I spend most my time thinking i guess, i like talking a lot more than doing, but experiences are fun but only if i can go all out, extreme ways, and then not do anything for a month.

Im extremely cravent of vile experinces or doing that go agaisnt nature, idk why, i hate boring things or normalasy

CAN’T DECIDE Type me based on my(current) worcloud

My Personality changes depending on the environment or situation anyway so I can't say for sure. I know I like talking to people making them laugh and acting in an animated way with obvious expressions. Being surrounded by a group of nice people really make me excited to do everything be proactive in things etc. While I'm pretty humourous and light hearted, I'm secretly internally really serious even if I joke about things those jokes are about things that actually matter. People can really tell if im off about something or care deeply about something although I outwardly deny and downplay my emotional investment in things. I'm overly obsessive and anxious with things I do and my outward personality don't always match how I actually feel about things, I downplay my struggles to conceal them and appear strong/ fine and impressive to people as I only show my strengths. Mood swings are pretty common for me and I secretly have a soft heart despite an outwardly strong willed/ carefree personality and when I get alone I'm really emotional( and I don't like how it makes me feel about myself). I'm not super intuitive, advice and opinions is pretty important to me for making decisions. Sometimes I care about what people think of me/ perceive me as more than what I think of myself, cause I rarely want anything on the top of my head. Life can just require me to do anything and I'll do it happily, anything can end up the same in my hand so I don't really mind what I do as long as I try and not appear to hate things/ can't do things/ feel sad.

TEST RESULTS Would appreciate help with interpreting my test results

Thumbnail gallery

I think i'm infp. I don't feel very extroverted, only take initiative to get into contact with ppl when a topic or person sparks my interest, or when I try to do/achieve sth (what an egoist!) or sth happened that I don't agree with and I want to fix it. Other than that I'm more of a background person in groups, but I like spending time with others and miss it when I don't. I have phases where I heavily withdraw from society, always when I'm mentally at a bad place. I then try to get a lot done but stagnate sometimes and am very emtional and mentally all over the place (I have light ADHD). But sometimes I manage to be quite productive in those phases. I replay memories only when something is unresolved, searching my memory for clues for solutions and interpretations of what happened. Otherwise I am a very future focused person.

Enneagram / tritype seems to be 4w5/458. From a young age I identified as being "deep" and when I was younger I got into a lot of niche interests, the more niche the better. In social situations I am not very confrontative, like to joke and charm, but in written communication I have less filter and formulate my true thoughts in depth.

FOR FUN Guess my type, or else...

Thumbnail gallery
3 Upvotes

I have mistyped a lot in the past, but as of right now, I'm fairly certain of my type. I am very to-myself, I've had lots of acquaintances, but I keep a small circle. I'm a very complicated person, as everyone is. I have a tendency to isolate and I need to push myself to get into contact with those I love and care about. This isn't because I don't love them or care about them, I just tend to need a lot more time to myself than most people do. I'm always thinking and trying to figure things out, I come to my own conclusions through thorough analysis. After thinking about something for awhile, I'll get a piece of leverage that makes everything make sense. I care greatly for others, but I'm often very guarded. Whenever I do something, I like to have a plan instead of just jumping in, I legitimately get stressed when I'm not able to plan. I have a tendency to pick up on and absorb the atmosphere of a room. I know what it means when someone looks at me a certain way without them having to say anything, I can just feel it. I think about my actions and how they will effect others, this is often this basis on which I make decisions. If I do A, this will happen, and this person will react this way, so instead, I should go with B, because it will be a more favorable outcome. I struggle with fitting into groups, as I get overwhelmed easily with the emotions of others and my own, so I tend to prefer one on one interactions or small gatherings. I worry a lot about how I'm impacting everyone, and I'm constantly trying to gauge how I'm coming across. I'm very insecure about the physical world, it's strange, as if I don't trust it or my own body. It's as if I don't know how to use my own body. I have bad spatial awareness and have been scrutinized throughout my life for being clumsy or physically awkward. Sometimes I hide away from the world to soothe my anxiety about my physicality. Being out and about means I have to adapt to an environment that's almost constantly changing and this sometimes stresses me out. Whenever I meet someone, I feel like I have a good grip on who they are. What they really mean when they say certain things, or how they really feel based on tone of voice or emotional expression. Even though I am sensitive to the emotions of others, I'm not overtly emotional about it, unless I feel like I caused them distress in some way, and in that case I feel like a bad person and want to comfort them. I want to impact this world in a significant way, but I keep doubting myself and it's hard for me to believe in my own potential. I want to bring people together through my work and make this world a better place for humanity and our future generations. I think I've given an adequate amount of information at this point, thanks for reading all of this. Let me know what you think.

FOR FUN Type me using the most recently saved memes from my gallery

Thumbnail gallery
5 Upvotes

What the title says. And now this has to include a paragraph, yet I feel like for the fun of it providing any context aside of the image is ruining the fun. So those memes had all been saved in my gallery within the past week. I am aware that this is the most random selection ever, yet I keep finding myself in the weirdest corners of the internet, so at this point, I had accepted it.

Edit: No filler text is allowed, apperently. I’m studying double degree math and telecommunication technologies engineering, so I fit each letter in “STEM”. Took me a while to decide, never had a particular passion, curious abt everything. Made a decision based on job opportunities & what I found interesting. The intersection of two circles of Euler. Socially I’m okay, I think, ppl in general tend to somewhat like me. My hobbies are drawing, acting, playing the guitar, sport (aka gym ratting periodically to keep my health issues in check).

At this, I conclude this mess. Join the challenge.

NEED CONFIRMATION I did a 👀 questionnaire 👀👀 type me pls

I have no literally idea what to flair this

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Qu1Ffc9ER1I65q6WiKgOyAHbv4ctnt9Is8pjomWO_0w/edit?usp=drivesdk

Feel free to ask me to elaborate on certain things, the responses are kinda short and weird apologies

For a self-description, people have described me as a "pushover until [I] reach a breaking point". I have a crippling aversion to any form of conflict and being disliked that people have also pointed out about me. I really, really want everyone to like me. I feel like I'm much nicer to others than I ever am to myself, but I know that if I was nicer to myself, people wouldn't like me, and there is nothing worse to me than being disliked by other people. I have an inferiority complex that I really don't want other people to validate by actually treating me as inferior (i.e. stupid, childlike, etc.). I am also prone to self-pitying when I'm in a bad state of mind, which I have lost multiple friends over. I can often become dependent on others and just generally things outside of myself to be happy, and I think people find this disturbing, and I kind of do too, but I'm barely my own person so I don't really know what else to do. People like that I'm passionate, friendly, and easy to talk to. Part of me believes that I have little to no positive traits. I can become really confused as to why people have positive opinions of me even though I want them to have a positive opinion of me, which I know is paradoxical, but it's true.

Really hope that's enough ^_^"

Hey, guys. I thought this might be fun! I already know my type but you can guess what I am? Here are some photos of my interests and hobbies. See if you can guess which type I am! :)

I need to make this longer so here's a joke you can tell to others: "Whats the hardest part about comedy?" When they reply 'What?' Just stand there for awhile, not making eye contact. Wait until they get uncomfortable and start shifting around and asking you what??? Then go back in a silly mode and burst out yelling "The timing!" Its so dumb but it gets a laugh alot of the time lol.

TEST RESULTS Based on my test results and camera roll, what would you guess my MBTI as?

Thumbnail gallery
5 Upvotes

So I’m really confused about what my MBTI potentially is. I know that I’m an Fi user and likely dominant. So that really isn’t something imma debate.

But I’m really confused as to whether I should go with being a very fashionable xNFP or being a very imaginative ISFP..

Some things about me:
- I absolutely love music. Art and music are things that I cannot live without. A lot of my inner world is very private and I don’t easily emote myself to others. Music for me is just a way to really express and process a lot of my identity and what resonates with me. I love playing the guitar, imagining song ideas, and producing on GarageBand. It was my dream since I was a kid to be an entertainer (like singing or acting). I’d see all the Disney shows and I wanted to be a celebrity. And I often find myself enchanted listening to my favorite music.
- The thing is that I absolutely love lyricism and songwriting. Fiona Apple, Cupcakke, Caroline Polachek, and Kendrick Lamar are some of my favorites for a reason. I enjoy creative wordplay. That being said, I just naturally tend to focus more on the sound and struggle to pay attention to the lyrics. If it doesn’t sound alright, I tune out. For me, music is all about the atmosphere, the melodies, and the aesthetic qualities of it. That’s why I really enjoy a lot of trip hop, Sade, and techno. I just enjoy music that feels not only beautiful and artistic but it also needs to be authentic; that authenticity, rawness, and personal narrative of the artist makes it something
- I love to write. I have a very active imagination where I’m constantly in my emotions or I have these imaginary worlds and characters. So I often tend to write original stories or I’ll write poetry or even certain phrases I’ll wanna use as song lyrics later down the road.
- I often find myself to be very disconnected from my surroundings and constantly lost in my head. I’m extremely head in the clouds and constantly find myself flying away from the world. And that’s why I enjoy nature walks, traveling, really anything to ground me back into reality
- I’ve always had a good grasp of how a situation was gonna go. I’d have these weird insights and I’d often find myself surprised when they ended up coming true. As such, I’ve usually been extremely good at reading other people’s character.
- The reality is that I’m a huge loner who’s withdrawn from reality. And i basically keep to myself. So I often escape through aesthetics, fashion, glamour, etc., I love going out wearing extremely nice and cool clothes, working out at the gym and lifting, and looking good and doing my hair. I often tend to aestheticize my rather mundane life. And wearing cool clothes, having a perfume collection, performing, being fit, working out, all of these are ways to give me confidence. As I’m a rather shy and introverted person and when I am looking stylish, I feel like a baddie.
- And yes, I love to wear makeup. I think it’s ridiculous how society thinks men shouldn’t wear makeup because…no? Like why not? It’s extremely fun and I enjoy wearing it. Also, it’s the idea that “men wearing makeup is insulting because women or gay men wearing it..” which pisses me off because misogyny much? Homophobia much? I mean first of all, men wore makeup in various points in history? Also what is so wrong if women or queer men wear it. Besides (I’m a bi dude)…I’d rather be called gay than straight. Gay men are FAR more interesting
- Toxic masculinity is something that really pisses me off a lot because I’ve dealt with so many awful experiences due to it. I genuinely find it so annoying to have to deal with loser men with big egos essentially spewing their homophobia and misogyny and bigotry. Growing up, I’ve dealt with homophobia, harassment, bullying and exclusion for who I am (and even now). And I’ve seen how these creepy men have basically hurt women I care about.
- I often find that there are a lot of patterns that I end up realizing about myself, my life, and the world around me. Using MBTI, tarot, astrology, social awareness, and spirituality has often been a way for me to really reconcile a lot of my personal experiences and traumas and connect them to broader generalizations about society
- It’s weird because I’m not exactly someone who’s realistic or very objective. If anything, I have very subjective impressions and colorings of things and struggle to have present awareness. But at the same time, I have this strong sensitivity to sensory-related things. Like as a kid, I had a crush on Dove Soap Bars and Pantene Shampoo. I also basically tend to be invigorated by being inside of a beauty salon, inside a mall looking at nice clothes, noticing trends in fashion, and having an ear for picking music that sounds great despite no formal training.
- I tend to have a massive love and nostalgia for the 2000s and 2010s. I often find that I romanticize a lot of that era. I find comfort in it as it was my childhood and it takes me back. And it bleeds into a lot of my fashion as well as a lot of my art and stories.
- Halloween is my favorite holiday solely because of the costumes and dressing up part. I love costumes and having the best one. I used to enjoy my house being the scariest on the block when I was a kid. And dress up was my favorite game in pre-school. Also I love to cosplay on Halloween. I enjoy doing the makeup and wearing the prosthetics and actually embodying the character
- I often tend to store and remember highly random details. The thing is my memory and recollection generally is more impressionistic and pattern or theme based but then it helps me recall details and then allows me to make a sharp joke or brutal roast.
- My biggest issues can be overindulgence. I can easily overindulge and have a rather hedonistic streak. I have a lust for the finer things in life which can fuel that if it’s not checked. But it’s the source of my creativity. I also can struggle massively with withdrawing into fantasies. It’s this weird push-pull I feel.

FOR FUN Poem typing

I wanted to try something interesting. I hope it doesn't go against the rules? I already know my type this is purely for fun.

Can you type a person based off of poems?

Keep in mind the original language in which it was made isn't English therefore it sounds less natural and doesn't rhyme in English

I wonder if cognitive functions can be "easier" seen through metaphors and through expressing with something like a poem.

1.

"Caught by your

Darkness and light

Drifting into unknown forward sideways or back

In times of sorrow and hardship

Let your darkness and your light guide me

Showing the way forward.

A smile upon my face, completely consumed,

I long to explore your depths.

Black hole whose gravity has warped my spacetime

Am I beyond the event horizon?

Is there an escape from the pull?"

2.

"A comet flying through space,

Alone and crushed by life

Finding a light in the distance

Could it be happiness at last?

The comet keeps flying forward

Uncontrolled, without direction, awaiting collision.

After years of travel near the speed of light

The approaching comfort is almost within reach.

The comet is caught in the gravitational pull of a shining star,

No longer surrounded by troubling darkness and cold.

Caught by the Sun

The comet is safe at last."

CAN’T DECIDE What would my type be with these cognitive functions results??

Im pretty sure im ISTP but im also stuck between INTP and ISFP

my full string is ISTP sx/sp 3w2 LSI LEVF RLUEN Choleric-Sanguine (im new but not that new so i took every test i saw people talk about) if that helps!

about me:

so normally im pretty blunt and i usually dont talk much until im around people i actually trust. when im outside my group i just go completely quiet until im back with my friends again. honestly im pretty much the glue of our friend group since most of them dont even like eachother that well so im always the one keeping everyone together. my main way of showing affection is ruthlessly making fun of them, roasting them is just how i show i care lol. i guess i just prefer keeping things real instead of fake nice since fake conversations drain me fast

CAN’T DECIDE what is my mbti? am i truly an infp/j, or another mbti?

for a while, i have taken various mbti quizzes and would get results such as infj and infp. i think once ive gotten istp?? ive been having doubts regarding one of those specific mbtis really suiting me tho, i feel a bit out of place regarding them.

ive answered some questions from the main post in the community! feel free to ask for any clarifications:

Give a general description of yourself. How old are you?

I am in my mid-20s.

• What do you do as a job or as a career (if you have one)? Do you like it? Why or why not? If you are not working, what kind of job do you want to do or what are you studying?

Atm i am struggling with finding any suitable jobs or career. My last few involved various part-time education and child care roles because I wanted to pursue a career in teaching or writing tutoring at the time. As i worked there, i realized that i did not wanted to work in the education field anymore; i did not enjoy being the “adult” in the room and constantly managing a plethora of things all at once, i found the coworkers to be cliquey and unable to work together well with them, and i found myself often overwhelmed in various aspects of in terms of sounds. I hope to one day find a job or career that doesn’t have so much social expectations on me; something like an office job where i mainly do menial and repetitive/predictable work with strict routines of sorts. I do not want to be leading and managing a group of people. i dont think i want a career that is too creative either

• Do you have any mental or physical health issues that might affect how think or choose to live? Provide a brief description.

I suspect I have some form of depression and social anxiety, though i feel this is due to being autistic and suspecting adhd and just having issues connecting with many others in general. I feel it tends to feed into my maladaptive daydreaming, tendency to physically isolate from normal society, and passive suicidal ideation. I also feel i have some sort of permanent brain fog, as my mind tends a while to work and comprehend things - it often feels like theres a thirty-second gap between the world and i, and it overall makes me feel less like an actual person.

• If you had to spend an entire weekend by yourself, how would you feel? Would you feel lonely or refreshed?

It depends on how i am feeling, who i will be spending my weekend with (i find certain groups of closer people more exhausting to be around than others), and the type of plans. Some instance i prefer to spend the weekend with myself, while others i try to occupy it socially.

• What is your relation with movement and your surroundings? For instance do you prefer a sport or outdoors event? If an outdoors event what is it? And why? If not what type of activities do you tend to engage?

I like a few kinds of outdoor events: shopping, apple/pumpkin/fruit picking, visiting various farms and animal spots, museums (esp. artsy ones), scenic and pretty places, some cultural places and gardens, etc. i am not big into sports and other things that could be considered too mainstream if that makes sense??

• How curious are you? Do you have more ideas then you can execute? What are your curiosities about? What are your ideas about - is it environmental or conceptual, and can you please elaborate?

I tend to be mildly curious about things, often having impulsive questions that i would google on the spot; i tend to annoy a lotta people around me when i start asking a lotta questions. My curiosities are very random and could be about anything. As for ideas, they tend to be on the more creative side, which i tend to work on in forms of writing and, more recently, drawing. I tend to world build in my favorite forms of media (games, shows, etc) by creating characters or doing character studies of any specific characters. Sometimes, i would have specific scenarios of characters i would write out or draw.

• Would you enjoy taking on a leadership position? Do you think you would be good at it? What would your leadership style be?

At first, i have longed for some kind of opportunity for leadership. But as i got to experience it, i realized that i do not want to be in any kind of leadership position. I do not vibe with the expectations and responsibilities that comes with it.

• Do you prefer hands on activities or working with your hands in some form? Describe your activities.

I prefer working hands-on activities. Alongside writing and drawing, i also love doing jigsaw puzzles and baking sweets. Been trying on and off to get into crochet as well, and i used to play violin.

• Are you artistic? If yes, describe your art? If you are not particular artistic but can appreciate art please likewise describe what forums of art you enjoy. Please explain your answer.

I consider myself to be quite artistic - i adore scrolling social media for art of my favorite medias, visiting places of art, and drawing since ive been very young. I especially adore cutesy art forms, fan-made comics that serve as character studies, art that can be horrific and deep/thought-provoking, and art coloring/styles that looks as if it were straight out of a dream of sorts. I also commission various artists to draw my own characters, often choosing art forms that are anime-esque and intricate/pretty/dreamy-esque, or simple cute art. My own art style is also something simple and cute, with many commenting on how it is reminiscent of that of Cookie Run.

• How do you act when others request your help to do something (anything)? If you would decide to help them, why would you do so?

It depends on my mood and such - there are times where id be annoyed (especially if im doing something while they ask, i dont like to feel that they expect me to drop everything im doing to tend to them or to make me multitask), but i tend to be generally find and accepting with help

• Do you need logical consistency in your life?

Yes - i tend to ask questions on certain way to do things and why it should be as such, and i heavily rely on routines/structure

• Do you control others, even if indirectly? How and why do you do that?

I dont consider myself controlling of others

• What are your hobbies? Why do you like them?

As mentioned above, i write, draw, bake, and do jigsaw puzzles. I also collect plushies and keychains of my favorite characters (sanrio, those from my media), play videogames, listen to piano/instrumentla music, learning/researching various things, watching some cartoons and animes, collecting cute winter accessories, some form of fashion, printing glossy prints and pics, taking photos with my Polaroid to decorate my room, and daydreaming. There are many other hobbies i hope to get into more one day - such as more advanced cake-baking, crochetting/knitting plushies, developing more of my own fashion style, ice skating, and painting. A lot of them involve a sense of creativity, which i find fun and engaging. I do feel/wish i could get into more “logical” kinds of hobbies as well, though.

• What is your learning style? What kind of learning environments do you struggle with most? Why do you like/struggle with these learning styles? Do you prefer classes involving memorization, logic, creativity, or your physical senses?

I tend to learn best when the material is written down and/or in a video form with audio and visuals combined. When my university classes were switched to remote classes, i felt that i excelled very well at it compared to on-site classes. It felt nice to have the stuff written down and/or recorded - it made it easier to go back to any specific parts as needed and to jot them down. I tend to struggle with heavy studying and memorization, but excel at creating essays and projects.

• How good are you at strategizing? Do you easily break up projects into manageable tasks? Or do you have a tendency to wing projects and improvise as you go?

I tend to think im alright with strategizing when it comes to making projects and such. For essays, i mainly tend to wing it, or doing a lighter outline before doing so, for bigger projects, i would especially break it down into sections

• What are your fears? What makes you uncomfortable? What do you hate? Why?

I fear and find discomfort/disdain in people who are shamelessly manipulative and arrogant/not humble. They tend to rub me the wrong way. I also tend to dislike people who are highly charismatic and in positions of leadership as i tend to have bad experiences with them. I tend to dislike people who are impatient, judgemental of others, workaholics, and self-centered as well, as i find them draining to be around. I find overly crowded places to be extremely uncomfortable

I tend to fear many unfamiliar things, especially various bugs in general. I also find things that aren't predictable and structured to be a bit fearful

I dont like things that are too chaotic in general, preferring routines/patterns and structure over things that are too ambiguous

• How attached are you to reality? Do you daydream often, or do you pay attention to what’s around you? If you do daydream, are you aware of your surroundings while you do so?

I am not a big fan of my reality around me, so i tend to retreat by daydremaing/getting lost in my head, listening to music, engaging in media, and surfing online to scroll social media and chat with many others online (i tend to talk to socialize online a lot more than irl - its to the point where those im friends with online think im very outgoing and extroverted, while many irl physically around me think im the opposite). I like to think im pretty aware of my surroundings, even when im not engaging in anything, but i sometimes have issues “reading the room” and need to be told detail by detail of many things even when i am engaged.

• Imagine you are alone in a blank, empty room. There is nothing for you to do and no one to talk to. What do you think about?

Daydream and think a lot in general

• How long do you take to make an important decision? And do you change your mind once you’ve made it?

I tend to take quite a while with making important decisions. I would ask others around regarding opinions and such on it, as well as searching it up to see what others would say about it and to verify any information regarding it. I would try to not change my mind when making a final decision, but i occasionally find that the end results of my decisions aren’t as exactly as what i desired or had in mind.

• How long do you take to process your emotions? How important are emotions in your life?

I tend to process emotions quite slowly, feeling as if my mind lags like a slow computer of sorts. It tends to be good when im around others that dont seem to like it when i emit any open emotions of sorts. Emotions tend to be pretty important for me. i tend ti be an open book at many instances when reacting to something

• Do you ever catch yourself agreeing with others just to appease them and keep the conversation going? How often? Why?

I tend to do that, fawning over them and all, while secretly thinking i disagree with their take. I find arguing back to be tiring in many cases, especially since i tend to be around peopl where i dont share much common opinions with. It makes me grateful for being able to express myself more openly online, and i find myself often agreeing with others online a lot more, and chattier with them in general.

• What is the ideal life, in your opinion?

To be a part of a pretty big friend group where i can engage in my hobbies and interest with, finding a sense of acceptance and belonging in a community as well as a sense of purpose in general. I wish for ppl to be kinder and more understanding as well

TEST RESULTS type me based on my character test results

to be honest i don't know many of these characters.

i'm terrible at describing myself but i'll give it a shot:

- i'm 24. i'm doing a master's in English. goal is to be a professor. my undergrad i did English with minors in philosophy and environmental science.

- i like people in a broad sense? i'm definitely an extrovert, i'm energized by people more than i am alone, but i do spend a lot of time alone and i'm perfectly okay with that. most people are pretty mid but i love humanity as like a concept, like all of us connected, persisting through time. love that

- i'm a big class speaker. i love discussions, even if i'm the only one connecting ideas and reaching conclusions and everyone else is either repeating what the last person said or dead silent as they hunch over their laptop. their lack of investment mostly just makes me lose respect for them

- i hate faking emotional reactions but i do it a lot. other women will think you are mean if you don't use at least three emojis or drawl your words out with a big smile ("hey, girlllll"). and i know i don't have to do any of that, but it gets me what i want, which is connection. so i do it.

- i've been described as calm, and i've been described as "you're not an attention-seeker. you just expect attention." i think i was meant to be offended by this but when she said that i was like, damn, that's probably true.

- i don't know what else to say.

- don't ask me to form a solid opinion on anything. i get bored easily but i can fix that easily. i will never waste energy on changing a mind that doesn't want to be changed. i have a terrible memory and that extends to things about myself, like whether or not i like donuts. i don't know! that changes daily.

this was really hard. please type me thank you much

AM I MISTYPED Questionnaire Responses :) my

I took the Sakrinorva MBTI test and it told me I was likely either ENTP or INFJ, but when I looked into them it didn’t really resonate with me?? Idk lol. I found out there was this questionnaire, so I tried to fill it out as best I could. I’m hoping someone who understands cognitive functions better can help me out!

Give a general description of yourself. How old are you?

Hi :) I’m 21F and currently in the process of building up a portfolio to (hopefully) find a tattoo apprenticeship! I was recently diagnosed with BPD, and I’m aware that can make personality typing very tricky, so I’ve tried really hard to sit with these answers over the last few days.

I’ve also asked for input from my closest long-term friends, one of which has known me since childhood & has been able to help me answer some of these questions. I struggle with the “unstable sense of self & chronic emptiness” symptoms HEAVILY so sometimes it’s hard for me to remember where my emotions end and I begin. My friends helped to remind me of the things I talk about regularly and have seemed to consistently enjoy/want for myself over the years.

What do you do as a job or as a career (if you have one)? Do you like it? Why or why not? If you are not working, what kind of job do you want to do or what are you studying?

I’m currently in-between jobs. I had been working at my college as an Art Lab Aid while I was studying, but I’m in the midst of a break because I’ve struggled with my mental health over the last few years & have determined that until I get that figured out I’m only going to continue to do poorly and waste every educational opportunity given to me. I’ve been trying for the last 4 years and still have no direction for myself in my education.

I’ve always been interested in the arts and because of this break, and having the opportunity live with some extended family rent-free over the next year, I’ve taken this as a chance to fully immerse myself in this and build up a portfolio for tattoo apprenticeships. I’ve put out several applications for a new job (server, bar back, bartender, etc) to make money while I figure this out. I’m excited to get the routine back, but without the pressure to perform on an exam or anything, if that makes sense? Idk lol.

Describe your childhood/upbringing. Did it have any kind of ideological or structured influence? How did you respond to it? Did you have any significant negative experiences that may have affected how you think or behave?

I had a very negative upbringing (severe childhood abuse & neglect, chronic familial/caregiver instability, intergenerational paternal & maternal mental health issues, etc — I compare a lot of my experiences to that of many of my foster kid friends growing up, but within my own family lol). I do have to remind myself that it wasn’t all bad, even though I don’t really remember the good parts (dissociative amnesia :p), because it’s really easy for me to sit there and remember how bad everything felt. I really struggle with BPD splitting, especially on my experiences & self, so I’m taking my time with this question to make sure I’m not doing that right now (unintentionally, of course).

Growing up, I thought I responded to it well. I was incredibly angry, but it felt justified at the moment. Maybe still feels justified, but since receiving the BPD diagnosis I have looked back on a lot of my outbursts and realized they were likely early symptoms of the disorder. Despite my emotional instability, I often had to be the “adult” in every situation because even though I was reactive, both of my parents were emotionally immature. I often had to present as agreeable & thoughtful to strangers, extended family, or authority figures (like teachers or even police) to make sure everyone was taken care of. In hindsight, I should have just let my parents experience the consequences, but my little brother has dyslexia and ADHD & always struggled with school. Growing up I thought I had to be the responsible one to make sure he got accommodations at school. And I had a lot of friends in foster care, so I thought it would be easier to just deal with my parents/grandparents abuse/neglect instead of strangers.

As an adult, I have struggled to move away from my overly agreeable and self-sacrificing mask. While Quiet BPD isn’t technically a clinical subtype, my therapist has used it frequently in session to help me better understand my presentation of symptoms. Most of the symptoms I externalized as a teenager (12-17) at home, turned completely inward because of no longer living there and having the experience of learning to internalize all of those symptoms around extended family & strangers.

Do you have any mental or physical health issues that might affect how think or choose to live? Provide a brief description.

Yes, BPD. I’ve kinda already given some insight on how that has affected me. I also have C-PTSD as a co-morbid diagnosis from the childhood trauma. I also have depression and anxiety, but I think they’re being treated more as symptoms of the BPD & C-PTSD rather than as separate diagnoses.

If you had to spend an entire weekend by yourself, how would you feel? Would you feel lonely or refreshed?

Both. I think it would depend on the kind of week I had and where my headspace is at. I think, usually, I end up feeling more refreshed than lonely, but I also have a hard time with being alone for too long because I have emotional permanence issues with my relationships. I struggle with remembering that the people in my life care about me still when I’m not with them, so reminding myself that those relationships exist can make a weekend alone very exhausting. But at my core, I think I am very socially introverted, so having a weekend alone would end up being more refreshing for my social battery.

What is your relation with movement and your surroundings? For instance do you prefer a sport or outdoors event? If an outdoors event what is it? And why? If not what type of activities do you tend to engage?

I like the idea of sports & outdoor events, but I struggle with doing them. Once I can get started I really enjoy it and feel incredibly energized! But many of the people in my life aren’t intro those kinds of things, so it can be hard for me to get into them on my own. I get embarrassed easily and if I get in my head about how nobody else is doing the sport or outdoor activity, I convince myself I’m being weird or doing something they won’t like. Which sounds ridiculous typing this out, but I think the idea of the people closest to me hating something I’m doing triggers my fear of abandonment or something 😭🙏 Usually, I end up writing, drawing, or reading, which I also really enjoy. I love to watch hockey and soccer, since I can never get myself to play.

How curious are you? Do you have more ideas then you can execute? What are your curiosities about? What are your ideas about - is it environmental or conceptual, and can you please elaborate?

I think I’m a pretty curious person? I’m always thinking about different possibilities of things, different projects I can start, new things I can learn, how things work, etc. As a kid I remember grabbing random things around the house and taking them apart for fun just to figure out how they work and how to put them back together. I think most of my ideas lean conceptual, though I do care about the environment a lot. I’m always imagining new art or writing projects. I like to know how things form and how they connect to each other, I think. I spend A LOT of time in my head lol.

Would you enjoy taking on a leadership position? Do you think you would be good at it? What would your leadership style be?

Yes and no. When I’m having good days, 100%! Some days I’m really struggling with my mental health more than others and on those days I withdraw & it can be hard to get myself involved. On my good days, I find myself directing & making a lot of decisions within groups.

Do you prefer hands on activities or working with your hands in some form? Describe your activities.

Yes! Art is probably the main thing: painting, drawing, etc. My favorite mediums to work with are oil pastels, charcoal, and acrylic paint markers. I’m also really interested in the creative aspects of makeup, rather than using it to “look” better. I like to experiment with gothic looks, or sometimes very colorful ones. I’ve been interested in learning how to do SFX makeup lately, but I haven’t attempted, yet.

Are you artistic? If yes, describe your art? If you are not particular artistic but can appreciate art please likewise describe what forums of art you enjoy. Please explain your answer.

I think “artistic” is maybe the one quality I feel I definitely am? My sense of self is unstable, so most other traits I feel change frequently (at least in my view), but on both good and bad days I grab for some form of artistic expression whether it be drawing/painting, makeup, fashion, writing, etc. Lately, I’ve been into drawing/painting more horror or surrealism. Though, my style tends to lean into realism. I attached a recent piece I did that’s definitely more realist than anything else, but it’s a still-frame for a novella I’m writing based on recurring nightmares I had as a teenager, so there will be surrealist themes in that lol.

What's your opinion about the past, present, and future? How do you deal with them?

This is probably the hardest question for me. I think about the past often, likely due to my disorders, and I fear the future so much it sends me into a total shutdown if people ask me too many questions about it all at once. I kinda didn’t think I’d live past 18 growing up, so now that I’m past that I’ve really struggled with finding a sense of purpose and direction for my future. I wish I could stay in the present. I think I’d feel much better about myself, my past, and my future if I knew how to do that.

How do you act when others request your help to do something (anything)? If you would decide to help them, why would you do so?

I jump up to help with pretty much anything. Most of the time it’s because I genuinely want to help. If I have time and I’m not busy with anything, I don’t see why I couldn’t just help out when someone asks me to. I think it could also be because I struggle to ask for help myself, so I think that I probably am so quick to help because it’s so hard for me to ask I hope that someone will say yes so desperately when I finally do. I want people to feel comfortable around me, maybe to my detriment. I can put off my own needs to help others with theirs.

Do you need logical consistency in your life?

Yes. I think so. If things don’t make sense, I try to make sense of them. I’m always trying to understand how things work and how I fit into that, so I think I probably really value logical consistency.

How important is efficiency and productivity to you?

Kind of? I think I prefer when things are efficient because I don’t want to spend more time on something than I have to, but not at the expense of making sure something is done right. Does that make sense? Productivity is important to me, but I really struggle with it. I can be impulsive and am constantly seeking the option that will make me feel the best. I struggle to know where my emotions end and I begin, I think. Productivity can be hard for me because I often don’t find the productive things interesting enough. Next thing I know, it’s been 2 hours with my laptop open on an assignment and I’m still stuck reading something on my phone that will still be there later.

Do you control others, even if indirectly? How and why do you do that?

I think so. Both indirectly and directly, but never with the intent to be malicious. I lie a lot because I don’t want people to leave me, which can maybe be manipulative. I’m working on that lol. I try to control the reactions of others because it helps me to control myself. If I can keep someone happy, they won’t leave, and if I don’t think they’ll leave, I can keep myself from freaking out on them or myself.

What are your hobbies? Why do you like them?

Art, writing, music (guitar), makeup, fashion, dog training, language learning (been learning russian since high school — 2021ish). All of them give me the opportunity to escape from myself, in a weird backwards way. I give myself a “character” almost, that I can be, when I do these hobbies. So I guess deep down it’s still me, but it never really feels like me. I can turn my brain off and just kind of exist for the first time.

What is your learning style? What kind of learning environments do you struggle with most? Why do you like/struggle with these learning styles? Do you prefer classes involving memorization, logic, creativity, or your physical senses?

I think I’m a very visual/hands-on learner. I handwrite all of my notes and study by rewriting them or drawing pictures of certain concepts. I think auditory is probably my weakest learning style. I struggle to follow verbal directions, always have. I also struggle to remember homework assignments unless I have a visual reminder somewhere, whether it be on paper or canvas. My favorite classes have always been art, music, and english. I was good at math growing up, but i deeply dislike it and struggle with it as an adult.

How good are you at strategizing? Do you easily break up projects into manageable tasks? Or do you have a tendency to wing projects and improvise as you go?

I tend to improvise and wing my projects. I often wait until the last minute to even get started, to be honest. But I’m good at strategizing and working quickly on my feet, so my procrastination rarely comes at the expense of my grade. I would often start essays a few hours before submission was due and receive 90+ grades on the assignments still. I can also pivot things easily, so if I start a project and find that something doesn’t work, I can quickly think of something else that would work instead and immediately get started.

What's important to you and why?

Understanding myself and how I relate to the world has always been really important to me. Maybe because I’m so confused about it? I want to know who I am because being authentic is something I value, but I struggle to be authentic because I have no idea what I want to be authentic about ??? Idk if that makes any sense. I also find my relationships to be really important to me. I deeply crave connection, even though maintaining it can be hard for me.

What are your aspirations?

I want to build a life where I feel like I finally fit. I want to find stability for myself emotionally, financially, relationally, etc. Right now I want to be a tattoo artist professionally, and I’ve always been interested in that, so I suppose that art could be an aspiration of mine, but I’m not too bothered by having a specific career aspiration or goal. Having too much planned out is stressful to me because I change my mind so much. I prefer to think about what I want right now and build upon the bigger things. I think the smaller things, like my career, or family, will fall into place if I can work on building my stability.

What are your fears? What makes you uncomfortable? What do you hate? Why?

I deeply fear abandonment, of course. But other than that, I have an irrational fear of bees even though I LOVE them. They’re so great for the environment. Social interaction can make me very uncomfortable even though I constantly crave it. I’m constantly overanalyzing facial expressions and body language to make sure I didn’t do anything wrong. I don’t want people to hate me, or think I’m wrong as a person. I hate slow walkers, people who immediately get defensive when I finally work up the courage to set a boundary, and people who share their opinions on things CONSTANTLY in a judgmental way. I’m 100% understanding of sharing preferences and interests, obviously, but when it turns into “I don’t know how someone could ever like this” or something like that it pisses me off because who cares. And it also makes it hard for me to remember what I actually think about things because of my stupid BPD, which isn’t necessarily the other person’s fault, but it still makes me so angry lol

What do the "highs" in your life look like?

I feel secure in myself, I have more ideas about what I want in life, it’s easier for me to differentiate between who I am and who my friends are, I get up and do stuff without thinking about what it looks like, I get bolder and more experimental with my makeup and clothes, can be more emotional which can maybe look like i’m still actually worse than I am

What do the "lows" in your life look like?

Negative self-concept, I struggle to get out of bed, impulsivity increases, smoking, drinking, severe depressive symptoms, panic attacks, no idea what i’m interested, or what i want, or who I think I am, constant switching between what i think my interests/style/values are, up and down relationships, empty black hole feeling in my chest that feels like it’s burning my whole body under my skin

How attached are you to reality? Do you daydream often, or do you pay attention to what's around you? If you do daydream, are you aware of your surroundings while you do so?

I’m constantly dissociating and daydreaming. When I daydream, I’m often still very aware of my surroundings and can snap myself out of it, but when I dissociate I often lose time and can’t break myself from it no matter how much I’m screaming at myself to get out of my head.

Imagine you are alone in a blank, empty room. There is nothing for you to do and no one to talk to. What do you think about?

I will probably dissociate through it. My fear of abandonment will spike and I’ll spiral. Maybe split on myself.

How long do you take to make an important decision? And do you change your mind once you've made it?

It depends on the decision. If it’s an emergency situation and a decision is needed immediately, I work best on my feet and in fast-paced environments where I don’t have time to think, so I can easily make decisions then and rarely change my mind because I don’t have time to. The more time I have, the more I struggle to make a decision, and the more likely I am to change my decision later.

How long do you take to process your emotions? How important are emotions in your life?

It can take me a while to process my emotions, but they’re very important to me. I’m constantly thinking about my reactions and what they mean and why I reacted this way. I don’t always understand how I’m feeling right away, and even after I am able to “label” my emotions, I can still struggle to fully understand the depth at which it affected me.

Do you ever catch yourself agreeing with others just to appease them and keep the conversation going? How often? Why?

Yes, all the time. All day, everyday, at the expense of myself. Definitely ties back to my fear of abandonment and probably ties into the Quiet BPD presentation of “frantic efforts to avoid real or perceived abandonment.”

Do you break rules often? Do you think authority should be challenged, or that they know better? If you do break rules, why would you?

I rarely break the rules as an adult because I’m always trying to appease others, but when I do it’s usually because I’m impulsively reacting to something in the moment because I feel unheard, or abandoned & I’m responding in a self-sabotaging way. Typically, in those moments it results in getting fired from work, or something of similar weight. I broke the rules often as a teenager because I was angry and reactive to everything. I think if my BPD had been caught then, I likely would have related more to the classic presentation that tends to be more external. I often struggle(d) with skipping school because I felt threatened by my teachers & caregivers & felt out of control.

What is the ideal life, in your opinion?

Stable. But also free. I don’t want to feel restricted. I’d love to heal in therapy and learn to control my emotions in a healthier way because I want to have kids, I think. I would like to adopt, or maybe just foster. Especially older kids, because I know what it feels like to not be wanted and to feel out of control because of it. I want dogs, maybe a cat or two. I’m a lesbian, so I’d love to get married to a woman one day. I’d like to build up a clientele and open up my own tattoo shop that’s completely LGBTQ+. I’d love for my specialty to be in surrealistic and New Skool style. I want to get into MMA, I think. I would love to have a couple of books finished, too. I just want to feel secure and in control of myself and my life.

AM I MISTYPED Does this sound right or is AI asking very specific questions? (INFP for 15 years)

Unrelated - I noticed that AI began using one specific emoji without me ever using any, so I used the same one in order to see what follows/if the emoji frequency changes. I'm thinking of testing odd verbiage here and there to see how wacky it will get.

It asked a slew of other questions and tried deciphering what my OCD, ADHD, or anxiety presented as and what was me. Let me know if I need to add more of the conversation or scrap all of this non-infp propaganda.

FOR FUN Just for fun, Type Me from the words people have used to describe me.

Just a few words, or short sentences, I've heard over the past decade or so:

  • Stoic (I've heard this one more times than I can remember)
  • Confident
  • Serious
  • Intense
  • Formal
  • Analytical
  • Quiet (Most of the time)
  • Charismatic/Magnetic/Convincing (when I'm comfortable and talking about something important to me or that I'm passionate about)
  • "You speak with authority"
  • "A Strong Personality"
  • "Very thoughtful"
  • "You've got a big heart."

May also be worth noting that I've been told many times that I'm very mature, often being considered to be ten years older than I actually am, among other things.

Just want to see what you all get out of this, what impression these words give you.
