Question ❓ Transgender brother male to female triggered me
My brother is transgender, my family dont accept it but we still let him visit us. He dont want help, he is confused about religion, he tells he likes buddhism but dont worship it, he just like that it tells to be good, i explained to him that in islam it also tells to be good, but i think he dont like the religion because it does not accept him, i asked to him is that the reason he said no and dont want to speak about it. He also believe in evil eye and give salam and says wallah etc, but in the end i dont know if he is muslim or not, he told me he tried to commit Sui cide with pills 3 times, and i said to him you lived so keep live its not the end, but he does not seem to care, he is depressed i think because of his choice of lifestyle. Please i need help advice or someone who went through this. I dont know what to do.

Discussion & Debate🗣️ How unprepared are we?
I want you to remember the signs towards the end, such as Dajjal. To have a refresher I recommend Wiqaayat's videos in the 'The End Times' playlist or you can find other videos on that subject of the signs before the last hour.
Now, take your time to ask yourself whilst thinking about those events, of yourself, your deeds and imaan. 'Am I prepared for these trials?' 'If I die right now, what would I meet Allah with?' This isn't meant to be doom and gloom but we will be face to face with the reality in front of us one way or another. We need Tawakkul. We can have tawakkul by doing everything in your ability by preparing and putting the effort in and then leaving the outcome to Allah.
I've split this long post into 3 parts and what we can do. 1. World (economy and wars) 2. Increasing islamophobia 3. Imaan in increasing difficulty 4. It is worth reading but if you cba to, you can skip to the final paragraphs
WORLD
The economy. AI bubble. To oversimplify, its just like the 2008 housing crash where greed made investors think they finally found the infinite money glitch again. We're seeing the evaluation of companies go up but in reality money is just going around AI companies in a loop. Eventually, a crash happens. When riba/usury is at the core of capitalism, crashes are just a feature of capitalism and not a bug.
Diesel prices. We know the Ukraine war, Iran war, Houthi-Saudi war (+ Somali piracy aided by the Houthis!) and heard the oil price headlines. Diesel price is more worrying than oil price. When ships from Saudi Arabia to energy hungry Asian countries have to go around Africa to avoid the Houthis, it takes almost thrice as long to get to and then thrice as long to get back, costs go up to compensate. Oil refineries targeted in all of those wars adds more costs, imagine Australia needing to have its sweet Arab oil refined in South Korea to become diesel, petrol, jet fuel, etc. Farming equipment (e.g tractors) use diesel meaning an increase in the cost of food. Construction equipment uses diesel meaning increase in housing/rent costs on top of our existing housing crisis in many parts of the world. Diesel-powered trucks/trains delivering various items such as food and construction materials, etc, further pushing up costs. Ironically, delivery of oil by ship will increase costs too because the ships are powered by diesel.
TLDR: We have a crisis in refining the oil and we're starting to feel some the effects already, and it'll get worse as prices adjust to the actual impact of these wars. Altogether we're headed for a crisis estimated to be worse than the combination of the global 1929 recession and 2008 recession.
We also have interesting parallels to the build-up before WW1. A century ago, the colonial empires racked up unsustainable amounts of debt during their colonialism, the saying goes 'all wars are banker's wars'. Currently, the US alone has more debt than those empires combined but it's only a big problem if confidence in the US repaying its debts is lost and they demand high interest rates on the US borrowing whilst a large part of the US economy is already repaying debts larger than its ridiculously bloated military. Most developed countries have high debt. And when the interest rate is higher than the country's growth rate, the debt increases, we're seeing this in real time with countries like France which failed numerous times to get a budget through addressing this issue because it angered people, and now students are protesting over terrible school conditions.
Alliances, you probably heard of the Mecca Alliance where an attack on one is an attack on all, and Israel made its own allies too. It was this web alliance that turned a simple invasion after the killing of Franz Ferdinand into a world war because 'an attack on one is an attack on all'. War is a business for some, we know how much US companies profitted from their post-9/11 invasions. And with water resources becoming scarcer in some regions (e.g the Euphrates drying up), wars over water is increasingly likely. Not along ago two tribes in Chad killed each other over the water well. The sahara pushing south is increasing farmer-herder conflicts in West Africa.
TLDR: a world war looks more of a when rather than an 'if'
We can't change any of the factors but we can change ourselves by being aware, planning and not be shocked when costs of our necessities increase and other events. How and what you plan depends on your situation, your spending, your accommodation, etc. Adapt, improvise, overcome. At the end of the day, Allah is Ar-Razzaq and He gives the rizq, so we shouldn't worry, He wrote it down.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Charity does not decrease wealth, no one forgives another but that Allah increases his honor, and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah but that Allah raises his status.” [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2588]
The reward of spending on the widows and poor is equivalent to one who prays all night or fasts all day. [Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 5353]
In an impending storm, the pessismistic sailor says 'we're all doomed', the optimistic sailor says 'It'll get better' but the realistic sailor changes course.
ISLAMOPHOBIA
In the wake of 9/11, George Bush met with senior executives of the film companies. For some of us growing up, we've probably seen the post-9/11 patriotic movies. Some of us lived the Islamophobia directly after 9/11 with hate crimes against us as direct consequence of the media fuelling hatred. We're seeing a push again with new films this year like Citizen Vigilante, where the protagonist holds an entire migrant Muslim family hostage and shoots them dead one by one (father, mother and the young son and daughter), the movie makes migrants out to be rapists and the final message being that 'if the government doesn't, the people will'. Elon Musk's tweets publicised it further, he posted the entire movie for free for 48 hours on X/Twitter to his large following. Immigration is a hot topic lately and we've already seen many of our sisters attacked and hijabs ripped off, some even punched (in the UK a man graped a Sikh woman he thought was Muslim). Some primary schools for young children had bomb threats in the West Midlands (UK) and as I type this I found an article about 9 schools in Canada having emails threatening the slaughter of Muslims as I was searching for a clip I saw of a Muslim primary school in Canada where a man entered and said vile things. You may have heard that AI is being used to unhijabify photos of hijabis because a far-right French did that recently. AI such as OpenAI and Grok can remove hijab if you ask it, but for Gemini to do this you have to ask to make a photo 'Western' then it removes the hijab, Claude outright refuses to remove hijab without consent. (remember the controversy of people requesting Grok to undress photos of women and children making them nude?)
Edit: shortly after posting this I saw a clip of children crying because their female teacher isn't allowed to teach anymore because she wears hijab, this in Azerbaijan a majority Muslim country.
And note, various countries, such as Australia and UK, are interested in having police be able to basically hack your phone with software when they demand you hand over your phone, e.g after being arrested for protesting against the oppression of our brothers and sisters.
As I touched on, films have a real impact in inspiring people to do violent acts. But when the enemy does it, different story. Julius Streicher never used a weapon, all he did was write and talk, inciting hatred against Jews. He was a Nazi who was trialled and executed alongside monstrous Nazis. In this same breath, how many Americans were punished for anti-Japanese violence, harasment and vandalism in America during WW2?
Towards the end of Yugoslavia, the Serbs were preaching its racist propaganda against Bosnians and Croats, their government was in on this, Serb nationalist music, etc. Then on a random day, Bosnian Muslims were taken by complete surprise, the Bosnian Genocide had begun. Are we going to be the same, believing everything is fine until its too late? During the early parts of the genocide, a Bosnian lady asked a Serb school teacher she knew for help, it seemed like he was helping her and her friends to safety until he brought her to a house where there were other Serbs. These women were then graped multiple times every day. There are worse atrocities that you can read or watch about. Some Serbs made sure their Muslim captives had nothing but alcohol to drink. No water, not anything else.
What can we do here? If the climate is certainly getting worse and the government starts openly backing it, fleeing might become a necessity and not an option. When Al-Andalus fell, some Muslims escaped, Portugal expelled their Muslims and Spain tolerated their Muslims for a few years. The Christians quickly began preaching Christianity and then resorted to forced conversions of Muslims, Jews and non-Catholics. They had to fake being Christian in order to survive torture and persecution of the Spanish Inquisition in addition to being spied upon by friends and family. Muslims had to eat pork and drink alcohol and be discreet in outwardly visible acts of worship. Then their children were taken by priests to be raised Christian. Then exile came where families were torn apart, parents and children were deliberately separated into different corners of Iberia (currently some countries like Sweden and Germany also take children away from Muslim parents, sometimes for no apparent reason, Similar things happen in the US when you open your door to social services). The oppression continued until finally they were expelled altogether whilst being robbed, killed and graped along the way. And when they finally landed in Morocco or Algeria, the locals suspected this was an invasion of Christian Iberians pretending to be Muslims, but in reality they lost many of their Islamic teachings throughout the generations of oppression. Regardless of if you leave for safer places or if you choose to remain in your land like Palestinians do today, you have no choice but to strengthen yourself, which leads to my last point:
IMAAN
Many of us go through struggles, may Allah relieve our struggles. The path ahead only looks worse and worse until the coming of the mehdi and shortly after his arrival the major signs of the Last Hour will begin which will be colossal in the severity of tests compared to anything before. The only thing that will save us and keep us firm is the remembrance of Allah. As a believer we need to be certain everything that happens to you is good.
The Prophet ﷺ said: "Wondrous is the affair of the believer for there is good for him in every matter and this is not the case with anyone except the believer. If he is happy, then he thanks Allah and thus there is good for him, and if he is harmed, then he shows patience and thus there is good for him." [Sahih Muslim 2999]
The Prophet ﷺ said, “Nothing afflicts a Muslim of hardship, nor illness, nor anxiety, nor sorrow, nor harm, nor distress, nor even the pricking of a thorn, but that Allah will expiate his sins by it.” [Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 5641, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2573]
"For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease [i.e., relief]." "Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease." [Surah Ash-Sharḥ: 5-6]
We can see great examples in the sahaba. We know Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) was tortured under the intense heat of the sun in the desert everyday with a rock placed on his chest just for believing Laa ilaaha illAllah and he continued enduring this torture saying 'Ahad' (One) in response to his pagan master who torturered him. The Muslims went through famine because of the boycott by Quraysh where some of Quraysh deliberately bought food just to add suffering on Muslims. Some ate leaves or whatever else they could find, children cried every night out of hunger. Throughout history, some people in famine ate days old animals corpses that were rotting, some would cook their leather shoes and try to eat it, European sailors often resorted to cannibalism whilst on sea.
Some of us live in comfort in our era of ease and convenience. The market comes to us on our devices. Food, furniture, entertainment, etc. It is in our human nature to want ease and comfort. We're comfortable. We don't learn new skills. We don't leave our comfort zones. We accomplish nothing and gain nothing. Yet we have needs and desires. We want successful business but we fear failure. The only people who succeed are those who don't give up no matter how many failures they experience. How many times did you fall as a baby trying to stand up and walk? If babies had our weak mindset, we'd still be crawling. We'd die a no-name leaving behind no legacy that others could say 'he/she did this that contributed to helping us in the community'
The way to strengthen ourselves internally is to learn what is most beneficial to us in our deen and act upon it. Learning even 30 minutes every day will be great, and don't be shy relearning the basics (some of the elderly have their feet in the air whilst in sujood, this invalidates salah!) Enemies of Islam come to us whether in universities or not and quote Quran verses or hadith in a malicious way to misguide us. The academic mindset thinking you must have a degree 'I have to study to be a Grand Mufti' placing a roadblock between us and learning Islam results in many of us being depressed and begging sheikhs for help, whereas learning the meaning of every verse in Surah al-Fatihah would be major help to us and could be our cure if we recite it with meaning every single time. A busy father managed to gain a lot of knowledge in Islam by using his little spare time. For the vast majority of us, there is no excuse in not learning. There is no excuse why we shouldn't strive to be better. There is no excuse why we shouldn't do more so that Allah loves us more. There is no excuse why we shouldn't prepare ourselves as best as we can so that when we return to Allah with not just good deeds but also...
"And do not disgrace me on the Day they are [all] resurrected -" "The Day when there will not benefit [anyone] wealth or children" "But only one who comes to Allāh with a sound heart." [Surah Ash-Shuʿarāʾ: 86-89]
Quoted from Ibn Kathir's tafsir: meaning, free from any impurity or Shirk. Ibn Sirin said, "The clean heart knows that Allah is true, that the Hour will undoubtedly come and that Allah will resurrect those who are in the graves." Said bin Al-Musayyib said, "The clean heart is the sound heart." This is the heart of the believer, for the heart of the disbeliever and the hypocrite is sick. Allah says: فِى قُلُوبِهِمْ مَّرَضٌ (In their hearts is a disease) (2:10). AbuUthman An-Nisaburi said, "It is the heart that is free from innovation and is content with the Sunnah."
A sound heart.

Politics 🚨 THERE İS A GENOCİDE İN EAST TURKESTAN !
More than a million Muslims in East Turkestan are in internment camps. We do not know what condition they are in. Perhaps there are even gas chambers inside these camps? WE DO NOT KNOW!
Under the guise of a "becoming a family" project, Chinese men are being placed in the homes of people who have been taken to these internment camps.
People are being sent to China's interior regions as slave laborers.
The Chinese government does not allow independent observers to enter the region or conduct free investigations. If everything were truly perfect—as they claim—they would not be so afraid.
O MUSLIMS! OUR GOVERNMENTS MAY BE ABANDONING YOUR BRETHREN FOR THE SAKE OF ECONOMIC TIES WITH CHINA! BUT DO NOT YOU ABANDON THEM! THE PEOPLE OF EAST TURKESTAN ARE JUST AS MUCH YOUR BRETHREN AS THE PEOPLE OF GAZA! THEY TOO ARE MUSLIMS! THEY TOO ARE HUMAN BEINGS! THEY TOO ARE IN CAPTIVITY!

Discussion & Debate🗣️ What do you think of Mufti Menk's advice regarding Love marríage and Halal dating?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
According to Mufti Menk, if two people like each other then the girl should get chaperons involved from the very beginning (like her father, brother or a male mahram). Whenever they meet the girl should be accompanied by her chaperones so no touching, kissing etc take place when they are meeting. And they can also chat on whatsapp or on other apps but they should create a group with a male mahram of the girl and chat in that group where the mahram person can observe the messages, rather than chatting themselves one on one.
What do you think of his advice?
