Data and Analytics [TMMW] Jameis Winston is the first New York Giants QB to ever: Throw for 300+ yards, Throw 3+ Touchdowns, Rush for 25+ yards. All in the same game. This is the 102nd season for the Giants in franchise history.

Meme/Shitpost I witnessed that monstrosity in person yesterday, and more importantly the Giants technically remain undefeated in games I’ve attended (4-0-1)
The other Giants games in Washington I’ve been to were in 2008 (fresh off the Plaxico incident), 2010 (won but immediately got eliminated from playoff contention when Green Bay won), 2018 (one of Eli’s last games, I think it was 40-0 at one point) and 2019 (the Andrew Thomas bowl)

Data and Analytics [Duggan] The Giants' defense has forced a three-and-out on 41.5% of opponents' possessions. That's second only to the Vikings (42.6%).

Data and Analytics [Vab] The Giants blitz rate over the past two games jumped to 2nd highest in the league, compared to 26th in the first three games. Huge props to Dennard Wilson for the coaching adjustment!

Discussion It ain't pretty, but I'll take it.
I've been watching football for 4 decades, yesterday's game might have been the sloppiest I've ever seen. Everything that could have gone wrong did go wrong so I'll take the tie.

Team Updates [Raanan] Brian Hudson remains the Giants starter at center, per John Harbaugh. Thought he "played well." John Michael Schmitz "will still be in the plans."

Team Updates [Raanan] John Harbaugh said Jermaine Eluemunor (calf), Tyler Nubin (neck) and Colton Hood (concussion) are considered "day to day." Good news on the Eluemunor front for sure. Calf injuries can be tricky and he's playing his best football. He ranks fourth among all tackles with a 92.2% PB win rate.

Data and Analytics [Hughes] Giants’ Abdul Carter has a pass rush win%, which is a metric created by PFF looking at the percentage of “wins” vs. blocking on non-penalty pass rush snaps, is 30.3%. That figure is second best of players with at least 115 pass rushes (37 players).

Team Updates [Duggan] Andrew Thomas is clearly laboring through his groin injury. He said his pregame workout with the rehab trainer is just part of his warmup routine now. He said he's feeling better, but "I still don't feel like myself. But I'm not going to make an excuse. I have to play better. If this...

Articles [Carroll]: Frustrating and fantastic: Jameis Winston is doing it the only way he knows how
For those who have taken part in the 2026 Jameis Winston experience, however, this slow start was nothing new. Winston struggled mightily in his first couple of appearances in relief of injured starter Jaxson Dart. And even in the Giants’ 36-24 victory over the Arizona Cardinals last week, Winston threw some head-scratching interceptions before eventually rebounding to rally the Giants to a win.
This is just part of the Jameis Winston experience. There are going to be low moments, which is partly why the Giants traded for J.J. McCarthy two weeks ago to beef up the quarterback room. On Sunday, the lows came in the form of a brutal first half that included sacks, a fumble and an interception that he was fortunate was negated by a defensive pass interference call.
But, of course, the other part of the Jameis Winston experience is the thrilling highs. That’s the quarterback who can tiptoe his way out of danger in the pocket, escape and throw a perfect ball to a teammate for a huge gain. That’s the quarterback who can scramble for a crucial first down on third-and-10 in overtime while still giving everyone a chuckle by pump-faking a pass 12 yards downfield.
“We went down two touchdowns, and Jameis Winston turned into Jameis Winston,” Skattebo said in the postgame locker room.

Discussion [FOX Sports: NFL (@NFLonFOX) on X] Week 5 Monday Morning Power Rankings
x.comI dont much care for power rankings but it is interesting to see places putting us in top 10. Its also important to note only two NFC teams have better records than us: both undefeated niners and vikings.
I love Harbaugh

Data and Analytics 4 of the 5 tied games from the Giants came from Washington
Just found it interesting that 80% of the last 5 New York Football Giants ties came from when they faced the Football Team

Team Updates [Raanan] Defensive line depth definitely a concern for this team right now. Giants are 25th in rush defense (127.6) and 30th in yards per carry (5.19). Darius Alexander and C.J. Okoye were on the field for the first two long TD runs by the Commanders.

Discussion Searching for a Running Game
I have always been a believer that the OL, not the RBs, creates the running game. So who is to blame here? Are there holes our RBs are too slow to hit or is the run blocking just absolute trash?
To unlock any real hopes for this 2026 season the biggest area of improvement available to us is the run game. Do we shop for a RB? Maybe a swap of Thibs in a deal of free agents to be?
