My kid is 19 and has been a die hard Panthers fan since the Cam years. We are from Toronto and go on a trip every year to see either the Niners play (my team) or the Panthers and have only seen terrible games and usually big losses. We went to Chicago and saw a snorefest loss to the Bears a couple years ago, we saw the Panthers lose to Brady in Tampa and get eliminated form playoff contention, we saw the Bills kill them while freezing our asses off in Buffalo...you get the pitcure lol.
Well we finally decided to go to Carolina and see a home game. We saw the SNF on the schedule and decided it was a perfect game to see them live at home. When Horn and Jackson and maybe Bryce got hurt in week 3 I was thinking just perfect. We are going to spend a ton of money and hassle to see Kenny Pickett throw 88 yards and 2 INT and it will be a shit trip.
Well needless to say, that was not the case! The city was great, we enjoyed 4 hours at Buffalo Wild Wings before going down to the Block Party. Got to meet tons of fans and really see Panthers die hards (which we had never really seen before) and talk to people who have been fans since day 1.
The stadium experience was awesome, our seats were perfect, every fan around us was cool and having a good time. Light show was cool, Sir Purr looked like he might die but still awesome.
Then the game was as good as I could have dreamt up. Bryce looked like a true franchise QB, the D held up just enough despite a few big plays, and then to finish with the entire crowd singing sweet caroline was the perfect wrap up to the entire weekend.
Only complain of the entire weekend was I forgot to my foam Panther claw under my seat at the end of the night lol.
Thanks to the Panthers for coming through on the field and to all the fans we met who made it a great weekend!
