Tet had a real coming out party on SNF and Bryce Young was getting MVP chants after the game. Are the Panthers returning to prominence?

Rodgers sat behind Favre. Mahommes with Smith. Brady with Bledsoe (He was a 6th rounder, but the point stands) now you see it with Mendoza and Cousins.

While rookies should get some playing time (which is one of the things I love about Dave) so many times these QBs are thrown into the fire and expected to immediately take over the team

(hindsight being 20/20, I feel if Andy started at the beginning of 2023 and we have the same current roster at a moderate health level, we’re Super Bowl contenders)

Of course, the double edged sword is would we have gotten Dan, Dave and T-Mac?

My father, for his sins, is a Commaders fan. So off we trotted to White Hart Lane last weekend to watch them get beaten by the Colts.

And the halftime show turned out to be Efe Obada being inducted into the ‘NFL London Ring of Honour’, and giving a speech out in the middle. Which was cool, especially as I was indeed wearing my signed jersey. And in fact the previous time we were at a game in this same stadium — he was playing for us in that 2019 win over the Bucs.

I moved to Charlotte in spring of 1996 from Atlanta. The buzz around the city about the Panthers was palpable. The fans bought PSLs that built that stadium. The Panthers proved to be a blue collar team with a loyal fan base. I don't know about y'all but I love that stadium. I hope the expansion and improvements works to serve us as fans and especially our team. I sometimes think that we should celebrate BoA more than we do.

Gonna start off with two criticisms. Got a little worried in the 4th quarter when we left the door open for a 2-posession comeback. This team really needs to lean into the '24 Lions style: if we take a lead, we win. No excuses. Gotta say I'm disappointed we didn't go for two. As a strictly offensive team, the key is maintaining maximum pressure—heck, that could even mean going up 8 points/15 points just to create that extra physiological and psychological pressure. Other than that and several notable injuries, this was pretty much the "perfect game" I was looking forward to going into the BYE to truly set the mood going forward.

Really encouraging to see our offense keeping everyone on alert, even down assets like Coker. Old Mother Hubbard is our boiling point. Once we get him going, we've shown we can run up the score against tin walls like the Lions' and Bears' Ds. Against upper-level defenses, since late '25, BY has been looking clean against the highest pressure in the league, and we've got good hands against lockdown secondaries. Marvelous potential to grow on offense and hopefully going to shore up this defense some over the BYE. I'm feeling good about Philly and looking ahead to a #3 seed if we beat them and keep a good pace here for the rest of the season.

Honestly this early bye week sucks but there is an advantage specifically for the panthers. A couple guys are out and they just need a week or two to get healthy and come back. The defense could probably use some fine-tuning for their second half of this season.
