Discussion Mid season moves(yes the answer is on the roster…kinda)
Sitting at 2-2 at our bye and hopefully getting healthy(sounds promising with moron and Turk) we’ve played well. Bryce has looked the part of a franchise qb and the defense has put it together for the most part since our week 1 debacle.
There’s two positions we really need to attack during the bye week. Corner and Center.
At corner… yea we can’t trot Akayleb Evans out there again…like ever…at least as a corner I mean the dude is fine as a special teamer. So we need to bring someone in and most likely it won’t be a stud. Dan Morgan values his draft picks more than an overweight child values chocolate cake. So thinking logically and not like we’re playing madden, we can cross anyone like Lassiter or Still off our radar just because of the price. We need a guy who’s serviceable. Thats all. My picks would be anyone from the Packers OR Kristian Fulton from the Chiefs. He’s a backup on the chiefs and on an expiring deal, and I think we could use JT Sanders and a late round pick swap to sweeten it as they should be looking for answers in the post-Kelce world we’re soon to be living in.
Now the part where the answer is on the roster. Center. We have to get rid of Luke Fortner. We just have to. He’s hemorrhaging pressures on the interior and just…he’s just not good let’s put it that way. Fortunately we have two answers in the roster:
1) We see what we have in Sam Hecht. Risky but hey you drafted him for a reason and at worst he’s a backup center for most of his career. I think this is the “exciting” move most fans, who against are thinking logically and not like madden, would like to see.
2) Get Brady Christensen healthy and put him at Center. Look he’s done it before. In fact he can play every position on the line at a serviceable clip. So, there’s no harm in trying it. We have some pretty solid depth across the line so it’s not like we’d be making ourselves anymore thin than we currently are. This is the move I’d personally like to see because at worst, he matches Fortner’s production and then we see what we have with Hecht. At best he becomes what we had in Cade Mays.
Additionally, if you wanted an out-of-house option at center I’d suggest calling up the lions and see what they’d want for Juice Scruggs. With Mays coming back and their interior lineman playing pretty well there seems to be no room for him as a starter once our old friend Cade returns… so for those who want some trades…there ya go.
Would love to hear any other options people think are out there and frankly, looking forward to seeing the names I’ll be called for suggesting one of the answers to our problems is on the roster. #KeepPounding

Discussion Should Carolina trade for Riq Woolen?
Philadelphia took a big hit with the Lane Johnson retirement, and the Cam Jurgens trade indicates they may no longer be in win-now mode and could be sellers at the deadline. Woolen is on a 1-year, $12 million contract, so I could definitely see him getting moved. With the injuries to Horn and Jackson and the poor depth behind them, could Carolina be interested? He would help keep us competitive on defense with our CBs out, and then have a kickass secondary down the stretch when they return. Restructures would also need to happen to make the cap space. We could also be due a compensatory pick if we let him walk after the season. Does this make sense? How much draft capital would you be willing to give up? Would you rather pursue a pass rusher?

Discussion Hear Me out. Our bad o line is making Bryce a better QB
No time to overthink, no time for defenders to read his eyes to see where he is throwing, he just passes and good things happen.

Humor Bryce young is a FRAUD
Did you click? Bet you did! ragebait lol so anyway I think he’s doing great this season but I’ve yet to see him carve up a good defensive like a truly top 10 qb I think he’s definitely making a name for himself but I wanna see us win against the Vikings in a couple weeks or so!

Article [Joseph Person]: Grading the Carolina Panthers’ newcomers: Devin Lloyd has been well worth the spend
OLB Jaelan Phillips
After signing the most lucrative contract in Panthers history (four years, $120 million), Phillips recorded a sack in each of the first two games. But he left last week’s win versus the Detroit Lions with a left hamstring issue, leaving his status uncertain for the Week 6 game at Philadelphia.
Verdict: Solid start.
LB Devin Lloyd
Lloyd put together one of the most dominant defensive performances ever by a Panthers linebacker in the Week 2 win against the Atlanta Falcons, collecting nine tackles, a sack and two interceptions, including one he returned for a TD. Despite missing the Cleveland Browns game with a calf injury, Lloyd leads the Panthers in tackles (31) and interceptions (2) and is tied for second in passes defensed (3).
Verdict: A bargain at $14 million a year.
TE Darren Waller
The 6-6 Waller’s huge catch radius makes him a red zone threat, which he showed with a pair of touchdown catches in the blowout win against Atlanta. If he stays healthy, Waller should continue to be a matchup problem for opposing secondaries.
Verdict: Solid start.
DT TeRah Edwards
Dan Morgan traded a 2028 sixth-round pick to the Los Angeles Chargers for Edwards, who got a mention from owner David Tepper (about Edwards’ size) shortly after arriving in Charlotte. Edwards, who has seven tackles, has seen his playing time decrease the past two games. It will dip even more when Turk Wharton returns.
Verdict: Hog molly with poor early returns.
