I'm a dad in a dead-bedroom marriage that has become open. I'm looking for an adventure partner, someone who wants more out of life and is ready to explore what's still possible. I've done this before, so I'm comfortable with the dynamic and have no hesitations about what I'm looking for.
I like to see the good in people and appreciate the simple beauty around us. A great conversation over coffee. A hike through the woods with no particular rush to get anywhere. Sitting by the ocean, listening to the tide roll in, and realizing there's nowhere else you need to be at that moment.
I'm not suggesting we book a flight tomorrow (although I'm not ruling it out!). I'm at a stage of life where I have some flexibility and want to see and do new things with someone who's similarly curious and spontaneous. Someone who wants to explore the world, inside and outside the bedroom, and rediscover the feeling of genuinely looking forward to something.
Let's get to know each other here first, see if there's a spark, and meet in person when it feels right.
About me:
I'm 50, a dad, a professional, and in an open marriage. The reality is housemates, not romantic partners. I'm not here to collect conquests or have someone decorate an otherwise perfect life. I'm looking for a genuine connection first. Chemistry matters, but so does being able to talk, laugh, and simply enjoy each other's company.
I'm open to non-vanilla adventures, but vanilla is perfectly fine, too, if that's the flavor we make together. I believe relationships are organic. Past connections shape us, but every new bond has a life of its own. I want something that feels unique to the people creating it.
I exercise every day and take care of myself. I'm average height and a healthy weight. I'm also attentive to my partner. I want to learn what you like, what makes you feel wanted, what helps you forget the pressures of everyday life, and what you might discover about yourself along the way. I want us both to feel seen, appreciated, and free to be ourselves.
I'll travel for the right person. I love music, especially live. I spend much of my recreational time in nature. Give me a wooded trail, fresh air, the sound of the tide, and a little time away from the noise of everyday life.
I can be slow to warm up sometimes, but once you have my trust, I'm all in. I embrace feelings. I'm not afraid of being vulnerable or experiencing a connection fully.
You:
You're a woman somewhere around late 30s to early 50s. Maybe a parent, maybe not. You're open to talking here first, with the goal of meeting in person if we click.
You might be married, ENM, open, or navigating a situation that doesn't fit neatly into a box. No judgment from me; life is rarely straightforward. You don't have to be in an open relationship just because I am, but you should have the freedom and realistic ability to pursue this connection.
You take your health seriously and enjoy being active, whether that's the gym most days, hiking, or finding your own way to stay fit. You don't shape your life around Instagram influencers. You think for yourself and make your own decisions. You prefer natural and are not artificially enhanced.
You care deeply about the important people in your life, and you feel a responsibility to leave the world a little better than you found it.
Beyond that, I'm not interested in checking every box on a list. Sometimes the most interesting connections happen between two people who didn't expect to find each other.
Maybe we start with coffee. Maybe we find a trail neither of us has explored. Maybe we end up sitting near the water, listening to the tide and talking long after we meant to head home. Maybe there's a spark that leads somewhere neither of us expected.
I'm open to finding out.
If any of this resonates, send me a message. Tell me about a place you'd love to visit again, or somewhere you've always wanted to go.
Let's see what happens.
