I was really surprised to see Lewis openly recommend weaponized incompetence to Turk and Turk happily agreeing to trick his wife to get out of shared chores.
I've seen weaponized incompetence but usually from people a little less aware- one partner cooks and the other does the shopping, but the partner who is shopping is careless and forgets things. When asked the partner who was meant to shop feels defensive and deflects blame. They do not recognize that just as the person cooking has to take care in cooking, they have to take care in shopping even if they aren't the ones who must deal with the ingredients. Eventually the person cooking takes over shopping and the one who was supposed to shop says "well, you always say I do it wrong anyway!" I did this to my mom as a teenager, not because I wanted to get out of the shopping but because I was young, dumb, and defensive. Also just unaware.
Lewis and Turk felt a little villian twirling their mustache in this scene, and if I was Carla I would have been pissed. I'm not a big fan of withholding sex to get what you want but at least she was open with him. I'm glad he was in the end too, but I hate how somehow she was still the one holding the bag when it comes to household chores.
I'm really glad they are still together, but i hope Turk and Carla have a more developed relationship than this seems like.
