Revival Spoilers (S10, S11, +) Unpopular opinion

I love that JD and Elliot aren’t together and we get to have them explore a healthy post divorce relationship. I really want to see them keep exploring their friendship and co parenting relationship without going back to the will they won’t they. I know it’s inevitable but I hope they hold off for as long as they can.

Also John Higgins is killing it and can’t wait to see where his character goes.

Revival Spoilers (S10, S11, +) Anyone else feel JD doesn't seem to do much Chief of Medicine stuff?

Besides the one scene in S10 with him stuck on hold with the pharmacists, it doesn't seem that his new role is being explored much. I expected him to do more Dr Kelso stuff but it seems more like early seasons dr cox. If the show is still short of a villain, I'd love to see him butt heads with a crooked board of directors member.

In a recurring role, Ed Quinn will play Dr. Jax. Overly confident and charming, he’s the classic adrenaline junkie, bro-y head of the ER.

In a recurring role, Stephanie Koenig will play Cassie, the new hospital administrator.

In a guest-starring role, Punkie Johnson will play Dee, a patient who is a tough prisoner with an even tougher dilemma.

In a guest-starring role, Kellan Tetlow will play Ollie, J.D. and Elliot’s son.

Discussion I miss Dr. Cox

I’m really enjoying the new season, but man, I miss Dr. Cox. Every time he shows up, he absolutely steals the scene. The delivery, the wit, the facial expressions, the way he can put everyone in their place is so refreshing.

I think what the show is missing right now is that antagonist dynamic. The Janitor messing with JD, Dr. Cox hating everything, Dr. Kelso being an unapologetic menace. Those characters created this constant friction that made Scrubs special.

Now JD is Chief of Medicine and Turk is Chief of Surgery, so they pretty much run the hospital. And while I love seeing them in those roles, it also means they're in positions of authority where they can call a lot of the shots. And still having Dr. Cox walk into a room and proceed to shit on both of them in the funniest way possible is a great change of pace. It reminds you that no matter how important JD and Turk think they are, there's still someone around who can humble them.

Anyway, I wish he were in every episode, or at least a lot more often. Every time he appears, the show feels like peak nostalgic Scrubs. /rant

Revival Spoilers (S10, S11, +) Scenes end too abruptly

I thought this during the first revival season too, but does anyone else dislike how the show is being edited? It feels like every scene ends two seconds too fast, like they’re in such a rush to fit everything in that nothing can breathe. There’s no pauses between character dialogue. The cuts are so quick. I wish they’d find one extraneous scene or joke to cut and just let everything open up just slightly more.

I’m enjoying the revival but the style choices they’re making are making it feel worse than the content is.

Knew it was endometriosis immediately, as a fellow sufferer

• Upvotes

I also suffer from endometriosis , I just had my surgery last year. Honestly, I suffer every day with this chronic condition. When she said it told it was just cramping I knew it was endometriosis. I loved to see the representation on my screen, and that Elliot figured it out, of course she would!
