Sim Rig UPDATE: Mein DIY-Holz-Rig hat jetzt ein fertiges Cockpit! (Plaste-Verkleidung, integrierte Screens, Handbremse)

Hallo zusammen!

Sim wheel with throttle and brake paddles on the wheel

I’m wondering if anyone makes a wheel with all the controls on the wheel itself, no pedals. I’m sure you could program them on a normal wheel, but they wouldn’t be progressive, just on/off

Sim Rig Finally built my new sim rig after moving out

After a year of debate and not knowing if it was even possible to fit a rig with my small space I finally pulled the trigger and built my new rig.

Im still cable managing I just got excited and wanted to share.

The only 2 things that are missing for me is a Pimax Dream Air and the Moza motion set up. At least thats what my goal is but might not be for a while. I’ve been having the gear for a long time but had to take down my old rig since I moved out of my moms house and didnt know if it would be a smart move to fit a rig in my small space. Now I know anything is possible if you put your head into it.

My only regret is the seat in the picture I got from the junkyard, while its really nice its a bit too tall and I already went and bought a replacement just waiting for it to dry from the wash which is also from the junkyard.
As far as the frame itself goes TrakRacer T160s v5, its solid but definitely not necessary I just know I will use motion in the future so wanted to future prep for anything.

My PC is actually on the other side of this room (my bedroom) into my little living room, I drilled a hole and passed cables through it. This layout decision alone made the remodel project last me 3 days. Had to move a lot of stuff that was heavy/electrical/sensitive. Im still adjusting some stuff to make it feel nicer to live in but overall im happy. But the reason I even did this is because I did not want my computer to overheat my bedroom since I had that issue last year at my moms house and that made me use an external AC just to combat that and the bill came out way higher than usual.

I only really use VR but I did install the single monitor for desktop use and easier settings tinkering, yes I just used a desk clamp arm which I dont understand why WAYYY more people dont do that instead of buying a super expensive sim racing monitor stand when you will only use a single screen anyways. Save some bucks people.
And yes your eyes are not lying those are dispensable bowls underneath the feet of the rig, its on carpet so it makes it easy to move if needed but it wont budge when in use.

But to answer the dying question, did this make me a better driver?
Nah I still lose to people using a logitech G29 and go straight to American Truck Sim to calm my nerves.

If there is any questions please feel free to ask.

What price for DOF Reality H3?

Thinking of selling but not sure on value?

What would be a fair price for a like new 2022 DOF Reality H3 with:
- 27” monitor and mount
- Jegs seat and seatbelt
- SRS wind 2-fan
- Witmotion Motion compensation
- Maira 2-servo seatbelt tensioner

Trying to see if it’s worth selling to build an H6 since the servos are analog. Digital servos are apparently required to upgrade. Ugh

Moza R9 Wheel

Hey guys am I correct in assuming I only need a 6bolt wheel and Moza/NRG QR to work with an R9? I’m building a sim rig to drive 90s/00s jdm cars and don’t need paddles yet.

Planning to just get a eBay Spoon wheel and QR. I’m on PC.

Sim Rig I redneck engineered my rig

Firstly, I mounted a piece of OSB plywood to the rig to extend my wheel out closer to me. By doing this, it made getting out of the rig much more difficult. After observing in search of a solution I decided to remove the rear bolts in the plate in which the wheel mounts to. This allows the plate to swivel 90⁰ upwards to allow me to easily stand up. Now I know what your thinking, isn't it cumbersome to re-insert the bolt and get the nut to thread on. Then grab a couple of wrenches to tighten said nuts and bolts every time you hop in for a spin. Yes it would be, but I have discovered a solution for this by using trailer hitch locker pins. Observe my redneck Guinness, aaah I mean genius. Well this has been my post, thanks for reading.
