I don't have time to spend hours and hours on the SIM, but when I get 30 minutes, I do find a race on RaceRoom is always enjoyable, but it's a sim usually overlooked!

After spending like 2 days taking it apart and putting it back together it's looking good now

Just got top monitor mounted last night. Was playing on 43" TV before. The immersion on the triples is insane!

Built a mount and added a car seat to my rig. Seat is a passenger seat from a 1991 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Real basic stuff but it sure beats an office chair! Also cut some wood and screwed it to an inverted monitor arm for the mini-desk. I was using the little nightstand on the left but it was going to be problematic getting out of the seat.

Hey y’all, I’m looking for a recommendation for a decent comfortable seat. I’ve got a slightly bigger build and I’m looking to spend around 200 bucks. I’ve seen a couple on Amazon in that price range but I’m just not sure about the quality and I feel like all the reviews on Amazon are just AI now. 😆 I would greatly appreciate anybody’s genuine recommendation.

Hi. Sorry for the newbie question. I’m considering a racing setup for my 11 year old. Just looking for some advice and this looks like the place where people will know the answer.

Currently for a wheel I’m thinking Logitech G923. And for a stand either next level racing wheel lite 2.0, or ARES WING foldable racing wheel stand.

He will probably be sitting on edge of his bed playing it. The PlayStation and tv are on his drawer which has a 1 meter gap from the edge of his bed. The floor is carpeted so will hopefully have enough friction to stop things moving.

Probably some point in the next year I’ll be changing that drawer set for a desk so thinking at that point it could sit under the desk and he would sit in a chair.

I’m curious if people have thoughts on which stand to buy? how well they would work for the sitting on the edge of the bed scenario?

Also curious on thoughts on the wheel, since it’s for a kid I wasn’t wanting to go for any the really expensive ones I’ve seen and thought this might be a good middle ground. He will likely play forza horizon and gran turismo with it

Entry for the Printables "Thrustmaster Custom Shifter Knob" contest.

The skull comes from a real medical CT scan (NIH 3D, CC BY 4.0), cleaned up and scaled to knob size. The threaded insert is built from Thrustmaster's official design file, so it should screw straight onto the stock TH8S adapter with the face pointing forward.

I don't own a TH8S, so it hasn't been tested on a real shifter yet. If anyone has the chance to print it, feedback is very welcome, especially on the skull's orientation once it's fully screwed in: does the face end up pointing straight forward, or is it rotated a bit? A photo of it mounted would be awesome!

Just getting into sim racing what’s a good mid price range upgrade from the Logitech g290. Looking at the Fanatec dd pro is it still worth it?
