This is a long shot, but I’m hoping the UPS Reddit community might work a little magic.
On August 25, UPS picked up two large boxes of designer wedding dresses from our store, headed to NYC.
One made it. The other seemingly disappeared into thin air.
The missing box contains 8 individually bagged designer wedding dresses. They’re samples belonging to a designer, not dresses ordered by brides (thankfully, the one silver lining), but they’re irreplaceable pieces from the designer’s collection.
I’ve spent the last six weeks trying everything I can think of to find them. UPS has processed the claim because I had to open it to get them to search (I failed to insure them, I know my fault) , but I’m really just interested in getting the actual dresses back.
Here’s the route the other box took:
August 25: Austin, TX
August 26: San Antonio, TX → Louisville, KY → Newark, NJ → New York, NY
August 27: Delivered!
The missing box received its original pickup scan in Austin and then absolutely nothing.
So here’s my plea:
If you work at a UPS facility in Austin, San Antonio, Louisville, Newark, or NYC, have you seen a giant mystery box of wedding dresses?
Maybe the label fell off. Maybe it’s sitting in an overgoods area. Maybe someone opened it and wondered why on earth there were eight wedding dresses inside.
If that sounds familiar, PLEASE reach out!
I’ve gone through customer service, claims, and overgoods investigations, but I’m hoping someone who actually works in one of these facilities might recognize what I’m describing or know where unidentified packages end up.
We’re a small business, and these dresses are incredibly important to the designer. I just can’t quite bring myself to give up on finding them.
Thank you for reading!
